Ralph and his team had the difficult and messy task of removing EIFS (basically stucco-covered styrofoam) and installing cedar and skirl siding and cultured stone. They managed to minimize the mess of the styrofoam (which was substantial) and did an amazing job of helping us get the colors of the house just right. Ralph went above and beyond what was necessary in order to make everything perfect. He upgraded materials, custom mixed paint and trim colors without increasing the bid amount. He was there to help guide us through difficult decisions and choices. He made it clear that our happiness was all that mattered and he was at the house everyday to make sure we were happy with our choices every step of the way

When it comes to EIFS, siding etc in rainy Oregon, quality workmanship and materials is crucial. This company actually exceeded our expectations from start to finish. This started with Gino (the owner) who came out to quote the job. He explained things thoroughly, didn't waste our time, and had a very thorough/professional bid package. He definitely gave us a feeling of comfort that they would do a high quality job. But let's face it, the key is performing as well as the pitch. One other requirement that we had is to get the job started and completed fast so that we could put the house up for sale. Gino said he could make it happen. Once we gave the go-ahead, they did everything they promised. We work from home so saw the whole process and I have to say that we are impressed. Jaime was on site every day. He was a good communicator, gave us sound advice on various decisions to be made, and it was very clear that he took pride his team's work. The place looks fantastic! As I mentioned, they exceeded our expectations. Everything from quality, to communication, to timing and follow-through were top-notch. The stucco guys was very professional and diligent and did a fantastic job. When blemishes or streaks appeared due to the bad weather, he came back with no complaints and addressed the areas of concern. All in all the work was superb and the chimney bricks where stucco was applied provided a clean and smooth look that was a great compliment to the siding and sofitt tones we had selected as our colour pallettes for our home. - IN YOUR HOMEThis project went superbly well. It greatly exceeded our expectations. The project manager David Kelley is a superlative craftsman. He helped us select colors and in general included us in the decision-making at all stages of the work. He made brilliant suggestions to upgrade the area at minimal cost so that the project is very cost-effective. The work area was kept very clean and orderly throughout the project and cleaned up meticulously. - Wagner Masonry IncI made the mistake of hiring Robert Wagner to construct a pond with waterfall on my property. He claimed to be a Master Mason and told me he had built most of the water features in Bend, OR. Robert and I agreed that my project was a two man job and he claimed that he would have his neighbor and or son-n-law available to help. The only help he brought in was his daughter and all she did was power wash rocks. He estimated the job to take 12 days from start to finish. I rented an excavator for 7 days, as he requested. The cost of this rental was $1780 for a week and half. This was money wasted as Robert never worked a full day and the excavator sat idle. Throughout the entire 4 weeks Robert was here he worked approximately 2.5 days per week. I had approximately 8 tons of rocks delivered, which all remain in my yard. Once he realized he couldn’t finish the project he begin giving excuses as to why he couldn’t work – he had appts, pulled his back, etc. After 4 weeks on the job my yard is a complete mess and just looks like dirt has been moved around. On the last day he worked he informed me that he was going to get some supplies and would be back. He picked up his tools and left and didn’t return. He wasn’t even professional enough to let me know he had taken on more than he could handle. When I called him to confirm he was done, he stated that he thought he could have gotten farther on the project than he did. Farther… he was supposed to complete the project not just make a mess of my yard. He had no problem taking my money and not delivering. This guy is a con-artist, he will bid jobs that he isn’t capable of handling, take payment and not deliver anything even close the agreed plan. I have had other contractors come to re-bid the project and they just shake their heads at the lack of quality, the unsafe condition he left the rock and area in and his flawed design. Robert Wagner is liar and I feel cheated. I believe he deliberately scammed me out of $4000 for doing nothing. I caution you against hiring Robert Wagner to do any job – big or small as he will undoubtably take your money and do nothing but cause you grief in return

"We were researching companies who would/could replace our old brick mailbox with a new one and Tom Payne Masonry, was our pick. We wanted to be sure to get a craftsman with years of experience and Tom seemed to display that! When we called, Tom returned our call promptly... he came out and gave us an estimate within a day or so and while he was here, we talked about options and kinds of brick to use for the new brick mailbox. He wrote up a proposal, we accepted his proposal after the weekend and set up a date with him to come out and do the work. Tom and his assistant came out sooner than anticipated (thank you for that).They worked hard and did a fantastic job on our new mailbox. One can tell now, it was built by a true craftsman. "This is a 12 year old home that has had a shower leak for a long time. A new type of sealer for the shower pan was used and didn't work. Being that water goes down, we didn't realize there was a problem. 12 years later we did! Insurance / Safeco was called and sent a claims manager to view damage. They didn't cover damage as it had been going on too long. Was given a list of folks to call. Their bids were all over the place. So I Checked on Angie's List. My wife started calling contractors and everyone was busy. We liked the reviews on Cascade Valley Construction, and so she called Thomas. To Busy! Well she kept calling him and offered to bake him a blackberry Pie. That was too much to resist and he came to our home. Thomas went under the house pulling insulation as he accessed the damage. It was bad. He took a video of the damage and we were shocked. All of the support beams and sills were rotten and that side of the house was sinking. Thomas asked a $1000.00 to start and tore into the Bathroom and part of the bedroom. We moved upstairs as the smell and black mold was bad. As I said He was very busy and took a month to get his crew in to repair damage. The out side wall had to be removed, the floor removed and sills and beams replaced. New flooring, Plywood treated, not OSB. second story had to be braced and leveled. New out side wall was built and siding put on. Belly board was something called white board and starting to rot. so Thomas used cement board as a replacement. Now the time had arrived to put inside walls up and a new shower. Thomas put the shower together correctly using a very thick shower pan and used cement board instead of plaster board that was used originally. He then put a red sealer on the floor and walls. Thomas smiled and said this time it won't leak, We now have a handicap accessible shower and a heated tile floor! Thomas was very good at explaining what he was doing step by step and his crew was great They were here to work when they said they would be and stuck with the job until our work was done We now know why He is so busy.
