Stayed behind schedule, put up low quality product, then took the money and ran. We hired Home Performance Concepts for a big job (skylights, windows, siding, painting, adjusting doors, etc.), which they promised would be done in a week for $11,000. At the end of week three, job unfinished, Jerry Christian yelled at my husband for thirty minutes in our driveway for more money and me for another 30 minutes about my husband. My husband paid a total of $10,700 after his son and co-owner, David, convinced him that we didn't have to worry, they were going to finish. He said they just needed the money for supplies, that he's a good Christian guy, he has kids, and can be trusted. They worked for a few more days, and then David sent a text to say that even though they'd promised to come back, that they could not afford to. That was the last we heard from them. We?ve been given many reasons for failure to deliver as promised: weather, too low of an initial bid, not enough money up front, personal issues, the store didn?t have the right paint, the overhangs are too hard to remove and replace, etc. Whatever the reason, they took $10,700 and failed to show up one day. We have a legally binding contract and will be suing them in court. Save yourself the hassle and hire another company. The details:Our initial interaction with Jerry Christian should have forewarned us. He cancelled our consultation twice as he had other jobs running behind and sure enough, we became the next delayed job. We hired Home Performance Concepts for the following: 1. Furnish and install 2 single hung Krestmark vinyl dual pane windows in tan. 2. Furnish and install Certainteed Insulsafe SP fiberglass insulation to entire home attic and bring total R-value to 49. 3. Furnish and install 2 Velux 10" Sun Tunnels with Rigid tubes and hail resistant domes in the Library. 4. Furnish and install HardieBoard to replace existing wood on home. Remove existing wood panels, trim and fascia. Use HardieWrap to seal wall panel areas, Hardie ColorPlus Siding, and HardieBoard trim. Caulk and paint with Sherwin Williams Duration Exterior Acrylic Latex Paint as needed to match existing color. Remove & reattach gutters, remove & reattach overhangs. Clean up area and remove all trash. 5. Adjust existing doors as much as possible to swing freely. Weather strip as needed. Install customer furnished screen doors. 6. Furnish and install water diverter to chimney area and replace flashing as needed and caulk all exposed nails A month later, the job isn?t finished. Lower quality paint, trim, and siding were used and the list of incomplete is as follows: 1. Furnish and install HardieBoard to replace existing wood on home. Remove existing wood panels, trim and fascia. Use HardieWrap to seal wall panel areas, Hardie ColorPlus Siding, and HardieBoard trim. Caulk and paint with Sherwin Williams Duration Exterior Acrylic Latex Paint as needed to match existing color. Remove & reattach gutters, remove & reattach overhangs. Clean up area and remove all trash. 2. Adjust existing doors as much as possible to swing freely. Weather strip as needed. Install customer furnished screen doors. 3. Furnish and install water diverter to chimney area and replace flashing as needed and caulk all exposed nails

A-Apex came over to provide a heating tune-up for $59 and to estimate a variety of repairs including windows, insulation, door repair, and siding. Jared told me the entire ductwork needed to be replaced- no details from him or the invoice. When I called to get details, he promptly returned the call and stated that the ducts were torn, chewed through, and warped. He stated that all ducts needed to be replaced and an estimate would be provided. After the tuneup and review of repairs, I was told my price was $118 because I have two units. After providing the advertisement I called in about, I was informed the $59 price was a printing error but they honored it. After a second opinion and self inspection, the duct work not only didn't have to be replaced- it didn't need more than a few pieces of duct tape. Also, despite calling twice for followup, I have yet to receive an estimate for any work. I'm assuming the company realized if they couldn't double charge for a tune up without my notice, I was certainly not going to go quietly into their scam on other repairs

II was getting bids for radiant barrier, and found HPC in the adpages. There was a coupon offer, so I called for an additional bid. One of the owners, Jerry Christian, came to the house and meet with us. He was very profession, and discussed the benefits of the radiant barrier, and provided a quote which was very competitive. Based on the work, he also wanted an opportunity to quote on window installation which we were also getting quotes for. He came back in the evening so that he could talk to both my sister and I and gave a very good presentation/demonstration on the windows. Based on all the bids HPC was the most competitive, and their package gave me several "extras" at no charge. After some research, I decided to install windows, insulation, and the solar attic fan/vent. As I felt that would give me the most bang for me buck so to speak. David Christian, also an owner of the company, came back to do the final measurements for the windows before the order was placed. He was also very professional and knowledgeable about all their product lines. The day of installation David brought his crew, and arrived at the scheduled time. Work began with the window removable, and then the new windows were installed. Due to the time it took to install the windows, the solar fan, soffit vents and the heat, David asked to come back the following day to complete the outside window caulking, home envelope seal, and the insulation. They were there the next day, and spent approx. 3 hours completing the job. I am very pleased and excited about the windows and all the updates to make my home energy efficient. They went above and beyond in making my home not only attractive with new windows, but energy efficient. All the extras that they and their crew did was so unexpected and really appreciated!!! I can't wait to see my next electric bill!!! I am telling all my friends about these improvements and about HPC and the great job they did !!!! There were no surprises with HPC, they did exactly what they said they would do and more

Windows were measured and ordered. When they arrived the old windows were removed and new windows installed. Then a radiant barrier crew sprayed the inside of the roof. Then insulation was blown in the attic and seals were put on the doors, light switches, etc. The total job for everything was only $6400.00-Hard to beat

They were very professional. Took before and after pictures so we could see the attic. Showed us the work they did to the doors and windows. The added insulation has improved our electric bills. There was no insulation over the garage. The garage is much better with temperature now.

When we proposed the work we inquired how much it would cost to replace the insulation as it was compromised. They told us that if we purchased the insulation they would install it. When they installed the insulation the insulation was not secured properly around the fleu of our chimney and the insulation is exposed and posing a fire hazard. When we brought this problem to their attention, they said that since they did not include the insulation in their contract it is not their problem. I have had a chimney contractor and a home inspector look at the issue and the cost to fix the problem is approximately $5000.00. I feel that since they did the work, even though the insulation installation was added after the contract was written Brennan should still stand behind their work and fix the problem

Overall the project went exceptionally well. Alex, the general contractor, was very professional, easy to contact, and returned all communications promptly. His quote was detailed and very competitive. The project started on time and progressed with only a minor delay due to weather. Alex has a very hands-on project management style. The subcontractors were neat in appearance, friendly, knowledgeable, and very tidy in performing their tasks. Due to the hands-on oversite by Alex, the final customer inspection and walk-thru did not yield any surprises. As a retired engineer, I was impressed with the skill of all workers and the quality of the finished product

Darren just installed insulation yesterday and I could immediately feel the difference! I keep my thermostat on 74 during the day, but it's usually 77-78 by afternoon. Today I got home, and it's actually 74 in my house! I was looking into getting new windows, but so glad I went with insulation instead. So much bang for your buck, and this will easily pay for itself within a year with the savings on my electric bill. I hate spending money on things I can't see, but my only regret is not doing this sooner

My attic was filled with very old rock wool insulation which had degraded and was causing a terrible dust problem in my house. They removed all the old insulation and sealed, sanitized, and deodorized the attic floor. They then installed 20 inches of blown fiberglass insulation. They did a great job and I am waiting for a bid from them to replace my windows

During an energy audit by Climate Doctors, it was noted that the insulation in my attic spaces had settled considerably in 5 years that took them below limits for good energy conservation. Based on the previous work that Climate Doctors had performed for me and the quoted price, I was satisfied to hire them for the insulation installation. The installers arrived on time and did everything they could to minimize the spread of the blown insulation. They were careful in moving any furniture or items from the insulation pipe when they had to run it through the second floor window to avoid any scratches or accidents

My call was returned quickly to set up an appointment to get an estimate. I told him I had a very short window of time finishedhen he wanted to come but he said he could be here and be done in that window. He was very prompt and finshed well before the designated time. I was given an estimate which included a discount for using Angie's list. I was given an appointment for the following Wednesday morning. On Wednesday I got up early, took the car out of the garage in preparation for the work but the workers did not show up. I called the office and was not happy with the scheduler who told me she had no information about my appointment and suggested I called the salesman. Since I was working, myself and didn't have time to do her work as well, I asked if she could make the calls and then let me know the status. I never heard back from the scheduler so I called her back. She said she had not yet heard from Art and I asked if she needed to talk to him before making another appointment for me. She gave me an appointment at a time convenient to me. I received a call from Art apologizing for the confusion and he said that he had made an error and had not sent my inforamtion to the scheduler. He offered an additional discount on the price for my inconvenience. I understand that mishaps happen and my judge of a company is how they recover from these mishaps. I thought this was a very good recovery effort. The workers called ahead, and came within their window on the appointment date. The work was performed quickly and efficiently. I was happy with the entire experience except the contacts with the scheduler who had no concept of good customer service

It was a couple of guys from the company and they came out and checked the door and window seals as well as the insulation in the attic and told me where to save some energy. They were friendly and on-time but it wasn't anything major.

Two men arrived within 10 minutes of scheduled time. Deal was $99 for insulation of 2 exterior doors and two windows. Told them that I didn't want the windows service and they agreed to do 4 exterior doors instead. They then proceeded to adjust door fit for proper closing and applied frame insulation as necessary to prevent air leakage to the four doors I designated. I have five exterior doors which is one more than covered by the deal and they agreed to do the additional door for $60 more. Thought that was unexpectedly high but wanted it done and since they had done a good job on the other four doors, I agreed to the price. It is now about 2 weeks later and I am still happy with the results

I recently took on the project of a down to the studs home renovation. I had heard about Champion Insulation so I contacted them initially for insulation but whentalking with the sales rep found out they also sell replacement windows. The sales rep was very knowledgable regarding the window manufacturers they carry and he did a great job of helping me pick a product that gave us the highest R value while still staying within our budget. We ended up purchasing replacement windows for the entire house and hired them to insulate the house as well. The installers were professional and did a great job. The sales rep came out to the job site during the installation and also followed up with me after to make sure we were pleased with the work. That follow up really impressed me
Excellent from the start all the way through the end. Jesse came out within a day or two and gave us an estimate explaining every charge and the benefits of each. He explained what is the best bang-for-the-buck for each item. The crew came out and was finished within a day and a half and the roof looks outstanding. The owner of the company came out after the work to inspect the job. I'm always surprised when we pay a bunch of money for a job to be done and the owner is nowhere to be found. Not with these guys. Mr. Wright came out and inspected the work which gives me a boost of confidence on the final product. If you need a new roof, there are a bunch of folks out there that can do it but I would highly suggest calling Jon Wright. They're straight-shooters and we never felt that there were padding the invoice unlike some of the other estimates we had. They worked with my insurance folks making the entire process one of the easiest projects I've had done on the house
Finding a good contractor, let alone a great one, is extremely hard to find. All Service came in, installed a new furnace, AC Unit, repaired and rerouted my ducts and sprayed in insulation. I meet with the technician during the sales process instead of a salesman, so I knew who was going to be doing the work and he was able to explain to me what all was needed and going to be done. All Service went out of their way to insure everything was installed properly and walked me through the process after the project was complete. I was particularly impressed with the integrity All Service showed. There was an issue with the new AC Unit, no fault of All Service. Being the winter time, they could have ignored the issue and charged me for a service call come summer. Instead, they informed me of the issue, ordered the parts and fixed it once the parts came in under the original installment agreement. They are also competitively priced
JP Construction was a great choice. Jon (owner) came out on two different occasions to understand the scope of the project and answer all our questions. He was punctual and very knowledgeable. The contract, invoice, and payment process are all electronic and easy to use. The crew was fantastic and have been working with JP for 10+ years. They were friendly and genuinely wanted us to be happy with the job. Our project included a lot of detailed trim that we wanted to match from the original 30's construction and crew lead worked with us to find the perfect solutions to ensure we were happy with the results. I would highly recommend JP Construction again and would definitely call upon them for future projects well
Great. They came and went and I could not even tell they had been there with the excepetion of my upstairs temperature being at least 10 degrees lower than it had all summer. Very nice, did a great job of dealing with my dogs. Not a single piece of dust or insulation was found on the floor or in the closet where they had to enter the roof
I bought our first house one year ago. The house was a renter's house so everything about was plain. The house structure and everything was still in great condition. We got it for a very good price way below market value. So with the extrA money we saved we wanted to use that to update our home and make it our dream home. We join angies list and all our contractors we hired was off angies list. We had contractors install our wood floors. We hired contractors to reface our cabinets. We hired contractors to paint our interior and so on. Out of all the company we hired, Affordable siding we must say was the best choice we made for our home. There's so much good things I can say about this company. Their work was great. Jesse help me through everything. He help pick the right type of siding, roof shingles, and windows. All the work was flawless. I'm a perfectionist. Everything looks great. I feel like I have the nicest house on the block now. Thanks to Jesse and his team. I am very happy. Jesse and his team showed up on time and was very polite. Jesse is easy to talk to and if you have any questions he's only a phone call away. He answer all my calls and answer any concerns that I had. His price was way cheaper than anybody's else. If Jesse did anything else besides siding and windows. I'll would hire him in a heartbeat. I highly recommend affordable siding to anybody looking for the complete package
I am very happy with the work done by Ellis and will continue to use them in the future. Their employees are very knowledgeable and professional and are always on time.
Two installers arrived on time and insulated appx. 1750 sq ft of fiberglass insulation. It took about an hour and a half. I had no complaints. Shout out to Christy in the office who came to my house during her lunch break to collect signed contract because I could not figure how to send it to her over the internet
The workmen performed efficiently and to great satisfaction. I was told from start to finish and beyond that if I wasn’t satisfied with any of the work, I should call and let them know. They don’t want any unsatisfied customers. I made the best decision to update my insulation and to select this company for the work. My home now holds it temp like a champ. During a recent temperature swing of 40+ degrees, the hardest room in the house to maintain had a menial 3 degree variation. I couldn’t be happier
Eric is the owner of Greenstar Windows and did a great job of replacing my windows! He is efficient and honest! The work was completed in a timely manner. I could not be more pleased with his work! I highly recommend him to anyone that needs any kind of window work. Eric is amazing!
Their work is excellent. In addition they installed a wood floor in my study about 4 years ago which still looks great. When I purchased my home new in 2002 I had them install all the window treatments as well. Everything they do is excellent and their pricing is very competitive as well.
A family of squirrels chewed through our asphalt roof tiles during the ice storm, in order to find shelter. I was very impressed with this company. Their service range is broad - which is nice. The owner Matt, bent over backwards to make sure I was able to contact my technician when I was having trouble with MY phone. My technician, Adam, was professional, efficient, on time, polite, and considerate. Most of all, Adam is a humane person, who loves animals, cares for them, and will relocate them in a thoughtful and humane way. Their prices were a bit cheaper than their competitors on Angies List, and their service and the people who represent the company are responsible professionals. Equally as important, Adam, who also has a roofing background, did a beautiful repair on our roof. It looks great. I will be using Legacy in the future
“On a scale of 1 to 5, I'm a '6-Star' reviewer. Kurt did such excellent job for us the first time that we didn’t even think of shopping around for someone else on the second job we needed done. His work ethic is par-excellent. He is very customer oriented, personable, conscientious, thorough, and detail oriented. For example: When one of the windows had been replaced by another contractor, the wood trim around the window outdoors needed to be touched up with paint after being slightly damaged by the installation. The window installer said he “doesn’t do paint, he only installs windows”. (Translation: “If you want it done, do it yourself or pay a paint contractor $65 to do a 5-minute job”. Yeah, right! - think I’d ever hire him to do anything for me again with that sorry attitude, or ever recommend him to anyone?) When Kurt saw that, he not only painted that trim, he also saw where I had caulked a 5-foot crack at the corner of the house a month earlier, but I hadn’t painted over it yet. He asked me if he could paint that too while he was at it, which he did even though he’s a window film installer, not a painter. That’s Customer Service - above and beyond the ‘call of duty’! Next, as he was driving away after he finished his job (window film application), he suddenly stopped, backed up, came back up to the house, and said he wanted to check one more time to make sure one corner of the opaque window film finally stuck permanently to the window. You talk about being conscience and detailed oriented – wow! I also completely agree with the 5-Star Reviews of the other reviewers, Dave, Jeff, and Jay.
Outstanding! Neal Jones is honest, professional and courteous. We set up a time for him to come to my home to complete a complimentary insulation inspection. He arrived exactly when he said he would. He checked the windows, vents and attic. After completing a thorough inspection of my attic he said everything looked great and that I did not need to do anything. I can't say enough about Neal. He is trustworthy and did not try to sell me on unnecessary work. If I need to have attic insulation done in the future I will definitely use Affordable Radiant Barrier

What do customers in Dallas say about Window Insulation?
Staff was great and the salesman was very knowledgeable. This company has been in business for many years and is known for their service. These windows are beautiful and unlike other windows we were finding from other companies.
