We had an excellent experience with Sparkle Upholstery. They have an extensive selection of fabric samples to choose from. Julie Kim was very helpful in quickly determining what type of fabric we were looking for (despite our vague description) and selecting the appropriate samples from their fabric "library" stacks to choose from. They did an outstanding job in reupholestering our dining room chairs and refreshing the wood. They were highly professional, extremely pleasant and very prompt. We plan to hire them again for future upholstery needs. We had an outstanding experience with Sparkle Upholstery and would recommend the firm without any hesitation.

The think I liked was that I could bring my own fabric to them and have them do the project and that way I could get the best price I could on the fabric and pick it out. They were quick and good, but they were expensive. They came out to give an estimate and tried to make us buy their in-house fabric. All of them were pretty pushy. I felt their fabric was expensive. They were pretty average when it came to price. The language barrier with them was a problem.

MC Interiors
I was recommended to MC Interiors from a friend of mine who had his boat seats and trim reupholstered from them. After witnessing the quality of work I decided to try them out to upholster an antique love seat that has been sitting in my basement. I made an appointment and went in to meet Kevin with some pictures and dimensions. He explained what I needed and gave an accurate estimate of the labor cost and provided approximate yardage for the fabric I needed. He helped me look through fabric sample books and made recommendations leveraging his expertise. I ended up choosing a fabric they had in stock which was drastically reduced in price (they have some fabric that they buy in bulk which they can offer to their customers at a discount, but the selection is limited). Once he calculated the final price adding in the fabric I decided to go ahead with the process. He estimated 4 weeks for the job, but I really needed it in 3 weeks due to relatives coming to town. Thankfully, he was able to work with me and I ended up receiving the love seat back 3 days earlier than I requested. They were flexible enough to reorder their priorities to get this job done for me with my time constraints. The work was great. Very meticulous and detail oriented. They performed minor touch up on the wood frame and gave it a little cleaning as a courtesy which improved the look. They really made an effort that was necessary to ensure that their customers are satisfied. Needless to say, I was very happy with my experience with Kevin and MC Interiors and I will be going back to them again in the future.

Upholstery Restoration & Select Fabrics
We are very pleased with the work. My husband is going back and take some furniture that needed repair. If you look at the outcome of the work, we were very pleased. But they were extremely busy, so we kind of wait around. They were very knowledgeable and friendly once you get their attention. They don’t have staff to help you out. They don’t have greeters. When you walk into the door, you are on your own. That part was not pleasant. That was not the most efficient way to entertain customers. There were overwhelming amount of fabric samples and no one to help you out. But their work was excellent.

I found fabric I liked and based on reviews here, on Consumer Checkbook and on Yelp, I chose Sparkle to do the work. They did a beautiful job. Very friendly customer service and a comprehensive collection of fabric options (had I known that before I went in, I would have chosen from their collection instead of bringing my own). They were very judicious in their use of my fabric and left me more than enough to cover another seat cushion -- wish I had another chair! My previous cushions hadn't lasted as long as I thought they should have. Julie, the co-owner, said that outdoor furniture needs a special kind of quick-drying foam, so I now expect a much longer life out of these cushions than the ones I had before (which used standard foam rubber and a plywood base, instead of the marine-grade wood I had this time). I had said there was no rush, and the cushions were ready a couple of weeks after I brought them in. I've already identified fabric in their shop for reupholstering my living room furniture ... that's next on the list!

Kings Upholstery & Drapery
King Upholstery had previously made slipcovers for my club chairs, and covered the seats for my dining-room chairs, so I knew I would have exemplary service for the sofa. But Kathy outdid herself giving me personal service for the sofa. After I had selected the fabric to be used, and placed the order, she telephoned the next day to point out that the fabric was not washable, so would be unsuitable for a slipcover. Upholstery was not much more expensive, so I opted for that. About ten days later, the sofa was picked up from my home, and a little over two weeks later, returned beautifully upholstered. I couldn't be happier.
