My experience with Washington Energy Service was one of the most professional, pleasant and efficient company I have dealt with from estimate visit to the final inspection visit. 1. The original estimate was exactly what I paid, no surprise extra charges. Martin was very knowledgeable about my options and explained the pros and cons of each without hard sell pitches. 2. The start of job was about 2 weeks after the estimate and was I was told it would be 2 days and it was and that included waiting for an a City of Seattle Inspector. They also made sure that the furnace work before leaving the first day. 3. Worksite was left clean, and they were careful not to upset my handicapped cat (he was blocked away from their work area). 4. Vent cleaning was 2 days after the installation. They also did a nice job. Everyone that was involved with my new furnace, filter and AC were Washington Energy Service employees. The company has been in business for over 60 years and know what they are doing and how to treat their customers. PS: When speaking to the third City of Seattle Inspector, he casually mentioned that I had chosen well, that this companies inspections consistently pass because they make the effort to do the work right the first time

The weather was hot, but it did not slow him down and he did not complain. A friendly, competent guy. That has bee a typical experience with WES folks over several decades. The day after the install, when the outdoor temperatures dropped, and we wanted a little heat, we discovered a problem - no heat. Green City had help out to us within the hour. All that was needed, was the gas being turned on. Even the office help were extremely pleasant. The Daiken unit is so quiet compared to our old Carrier

There was a wire in the furnace which had not been connected to the correct position and a furnace filter that needed to be replaced

However, I rated a B because the total cost was not 1) what I was quoted and 2) was given to me after the service was done. This would not have changed the outcome (I would have said yes do it) but customers should be informed of what the cost will be before anything is fixed.

"Professional and courteous. They're not going to do you any favors but their service is solid. They fixed a leak on my Mitsubishi Mr. Slim ductless mini-split (a heater/ac wall unit). First, one of their techs came out to diagnose. He checked some stuff, found that there was no refrigerant and scheduled an LSR tech (leak, search and repair). Diagnosis: $215 The LSR tech came out, checked the system and found that there was a loose valve. He tightened it and checked the system and we were good to go. He evacuated the system and charged it with refrigerant. He also did maintenance on the outside unit. It looked pretty clean after he was done. Nitrogen Leak Check System (bubble test for leaks): $651 Repair Each Leak and test: $193 per fix Evacuate System: $432 Charge System with Refrigerant: $491 Subtotal: $1982 Yup, two thousand dollars. This is Seattle for you and not sunny Los Angeles. They probably could have taken off the fix charge but I get it. Either way, they fixed my system and I'm happy. I would recommend Greenwood based on their solid service and professionalism. If you're getting an AC unit fixed get quotes! I submitted requests for quotes after the diagnosis and out of the 5 or 6 companies that I contacted nobody would give me a quote and they wanted to send out their own tech to diagnose. But I already had a diagnosis. So I just went with Greenwood. I hope this helps someone out there. My AC is ice cold and I'm happy. Maybe it'll spit out popsicles!

He was thorough, provided options and information, and told us what to expect down the road for our very old (1996) furnace and newer, different model heat pump (2006). "I wanted to pass on my experience with Evergreen who went the extra mile after my Mitsubishi slim AC started leaking water before the hot summer months. I had called a Kirkland company who came out diagnosed the issue and charged me an exorbitant amount. However after I informed them it was registered and parts were under warranty they dropped me like a hot potato and never called back. On the other hand Victoria at Evergreen called me regularly to update on the warranty and parts and scheduled a full day repair with Jesse, an excellent technician. He used appropriate PPE, educated me about the problem, even provided less expensive options, and finally completed the long arduous process of replacing parts and recharging the refrigerant all for a reasonable amount. Voila AC again! I would highly recommend this company - to do your job efficiently and technically correct, without overcharging or trying to upscale you. Peace of mind is priceless. RobinM

"I was very impressed with Black Lion. They just finished adding an AC system to the new furnace they installed four years ago. They also installed a hot water heater for me two years ago. All three installations have been trouble free. I got one other bid for the AC system and Black Lion was approximately $1000 cheaper. The service people were punctual, efficient and they cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend.
