  Heading out for some fun in the sun? Whether you're ready to play in the water or kick back on the shore, check out Makiki Joe's wide selection of beach essentials. Many items are complimentary for Aulani Resort Guests, while others are available for rental.
  
  Makiki Joe's offers nearly everything you need to relax or play. Explore equipment options and rates (subject to change):
  
  Sports and Play Equipment
  

  • Boogie boards and life jackets: complimentary for Aulani Resort Guests
  • Snorkel sets: $25 per day for Aulani Resort Guests, which includes one-day access to Guest-exclusive Rainbow Reef, a life vest and mask.
  • Stand-up paddleboards: $45 per hour

  
  Chairs, Loungers and Umbrellas
  

  • Beach chairs and umbrellas: complimentary for Aulani Resort Guests
  • Beachside casabella (2-seat lounger with awning): $80 per day (same-day reservations available on a first-come, first-served basis for use between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM)

  
  Please note: Advance reservations are not available. All beach equipment must stay in lagoon area.
  
  Location and Hours
  Makiki Joe's is located on Ko Olina Beach, adjacent to the Waikolohe Valley pool area. Hours of operation are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily—with the last rental at 4:00 PM.

• Casabellas at ‘AMA‘AMA

  Unwind in a beachfront, 2-seat lounger with awning, located on the lanai (veranda) of ‘AMA‘AMA restaurant. It's a private and luxurious option for those who prefer a serene beach experience.

  • ‘AMA‘AMA Upper Veranda: Look upon the ocean from 2 casabellas, available for $175 for a full day.
  • ‘AMA‘AMA Lower Veranda: Be closer to the beach on this lower level, where 3 casabellas are $250 for a full day.
  • Executive ‘AMA‘AMA Lanai: Splash out with this sumptuous setup, featuring 2 casabellas, 2 lounge chaises, 1 table, 2 chairs, 2 umbrellas, a locking cabinet, a fruit platter, towels and 8 bottles of water. All this can be yours for $350 for a full day.

• Know Before You Go

  Wristbands and Towels
  

  • You must wear a wristband to use the pools, pool chairs and beach chairs at Aulani Resort. A new wristband is required each day.
  • Wristbands are only given to those staying at Aulani Resort. Your daily allocation of wristbands is based on the number of Guests in your travel party, and cannot exceed the maximum occupancy for your specific room type.
  • To receive your daily wristband, please present your room key at any towel station in the Waikolohe Valley pool area.
  • For towels, visit a towel station in the pool area and show your valid wristband. Please do not bring room towels to the pool or beach.

  
  

  Policies
  

  • Children ages 11 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
  • We highly recommend that small children wear life jackets, which are complimentary at the Kāwele Korner towel station. Availability is limited. Life jackets must be returned each day before 10:00 PM.
  • You are welcome to come and go from your chair as you enjoy the beach. However, if belongings are left unattended for more than one hour, they will be removed and stored at the closest towel station. At the end of the day, unclaimed items will be sent to Lost & Found.
  • Please, no coolers on the beach, unless for medical purposes.
  • Outside alcohol is not permitted on the beach.
  • Paddleboards should not leave the lagoon area. Please do not bring personal paddleboards from home.
  • Half-day rates are not available for cabana and casabella rentals.
  • Upon arrival at the Resort, please check for the most up-to-date list of policies.

  
  

  Accessibility
  

  • A limited number of sand wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis for use on our beach areas. However, sand wheelchairs are not designed for use in the water.
