Impressed with how well they were able to control the large limbs as they were being cut and brought down. They did't even have to enter our neighbors yard to pick up any branches. - WORKING FOR YOUWFY's renovation was amazing. We've lived with issues, created by the original owner, with the ground level of our home for nearly 20 years and finally had the funds to get it fixed. It's a difficult situation to explain, as our home's layout is "a bit different." Long story, short, WFY - Rob, and his business partner Scott - properly insulated above and below grade, then finished the area to be sympathetic with the balance of the house. There were many hurdles, each of which were surmounted expertly. In general, the project required hand digging a deep trench around 2 sides of our home without overly disturbing mature tree roots; developing a plan for insulating from the outside (rather than losing precious floor space indoors) while keeping the home attractive; working with other contractors who needed to move various mechanicals to accommodate; making adjustments as underground realities were revealed; completing the insulating, siding, and painting processes; replacing and fixing the landscaping disturbed as a necessary side effect of the project. WFY did it all whilst also being respectful of our requests around reusing existing landscaping materials, etc. It's not yet cold enough for a final report, but we've already noticed a huge difference this fall and expect more good things to come over the winter. The exterior looks even more attractive than it ever did in the past - which is a testament to design skills as well as actual construction. We've now hired WFY for multiple projects and are always thrilled with the results. We so highly recommend this business that WFY is even better than a "perfect 10.

"We had just completed the construction of a new detached garage on our property including a new driveway between the garage and road. The excavator had prepared the sight and did good job contouring the area around the garage and driveway, but the ground had relatively steep slopes on two sides. I called Charles and described the project and he came right over and took measurements. He emailed me the quote the next day and started work the following day. He and his crew arrived on time with all the materials. They did the final grading so that water would flow around the garage away from the foundation. They installed concrete edgers and granite rock on either side of the garage. They prepared the seed bed and spread and raked in grass seed. They spread erosion mats over the entire area. The crew was neat and courteous and completed the job in less than a day. Charles was a pleasure to work with. By the time fall came the lawn looked nice. There has been no erosion on the slopes and the landscaping has held up nicely.

Years back, we hired Brian and Team to complete a major front-yard project. It went so well, we didn't think twice about hiring Environmental Design again. Our first and only call was to Brian!

While placing boulders, the team is expert and very precise. They performed that task for both the front and back yard projects. They care for your existing yard, by placing plywood down while entering and exiting the property. They clean the site daily, to ensure you're well taken care of at all times. They begin project days right on time (very consistent and predictable), which we appreciated.
Plant selection (to ensure one will have color all year long) and layout/presentation of those plants is an excellent skill Brian and Environmental Design possess.
They also recommended and we acted on it, a dripline irrigation system which runs right off the automated system. Press a button and all the plants are watered on the hillside!!! So glad we did that.
We'd HIGHLY recommend you call Brian/Environmental Design, for a project large or small. You'll be so glad you did!
