Wyatt and his brother did a great job with our deck in our small backyard. I live in an urban townhome where access to the backyard is limited. They are very careful hailing material in and out of the house without making a single mark. My deck is about 20'x10' with cedar wood. They did it in two and half days with beautiful craft. The deck is strong and exactly what we imagined. I found them on TREX website as their preferred contractor, but we ended up doing a cedar deck which turned out just as great. I would recommend Wyatt and his brother to anyone

They did an absolutely beautiful job building a composite deck in our backyard. The men who built it were very nice and talented craftsmen. We are enjoying the deck and look forward to not having to maintain it. We would definitely hire them again!

Had the pleasure of working with Randal on a pool remodel job where he removed and replaced wood deck panels so that the work on the pool could be performed. He went further to help the homeowner replace the wood deck framing that had sustained years of rot and was falling apart. He even ended up doing some concrete work for us by the end of the process. It turned out awesome. He is very versatile and a phenomenal person to work with

Did a very good job installing and staining a 14 x 22 pressure treated wood deck. I got 4 other bids but Dockmaster's was competitive and working with John seemed like the best fit.

They ended up putting the deck too far way from house and the steps had to be cut in tiny pieces because the supports were screwed up and could. To support any long boards. Every piece uneven. Looked amateurish like Gilligans island. I didn't say anything because he doesn't listen anyway. Deck was good enough. We just tore it down for something better. I would not use him again though

Wish I had come here before hiring them instead of after... going to have to agree with others here. Overall the build was good - they did a great job on my fence, but completely botched the staining of my deck - took months to complete and they used the wrong kind of stain, after 3 weeks it was still not dry, after I finally called enough times to complain they said they would come and "backroll" the stain - which I thought meant remove the excess that was still not drying after almost a month. I got a call unexpectedly that they were at my house to fix this when I was in the middle of a meeting - the worker explained that he was there to apply another coat of stain... after telling him the problem was that the stain was not dying or getting absorbed into the wood and the excess stain needed to be removed - and "DO NOT ADD MORE STAIN", he said the boss was on the way and that they would straighten it out. never got a return call and when I got home that night - yep, you guessed it - completely coated with another layer of stain. now a month after that screw up and it can still be wiped off the wood. no one is returning my calls and my sales rep that I was working with has left the company. Avoid this company - do not make the same mistake I did. I spent $25,000 with this company and no one cares about the shotty work they did. I am going to have to hire someone to come behind them and fix their mistakes

Bantex Construction Inc

I was originally going to install the deck myself but as I stated in my previous review of Bantex Construction, because of the savings I received from the installation of a patio cover, I was able to have them install my deck. After consulting with Terry on design and materials costs, we decided to use treated lumber for the construction and surface to keep costs to a minimum. Thanks to some luck with his busy schedule, Terry was able to start my deck almost immediately. Bob and his crew of "merry men" almost completed the job in one day. And as I stated prior, Bob and crew kept the work area clean and picked-up debris as they went along. As before, Terry called to check on the progress and Bob was the consummate professional. The job was completed before noon the next day. Terry called again to make sure I was satisfied with the project before Bob and crew left. When Terry came out to give me the final bill and inspect the job, he even made sure that I was completely satisfied with the price. Because as most contractors, he works on a cost plus basis. He met the estimate and I couldn't have been more pleased. I would recommend to anyone to give Bantex Construction a chance

Texas Best Fence

I met with Jeff Richards with Texas Best Fence and we went through the project of replacing the existing aggregate deck with a combination of wood decking and concrete decking. We also reviewed replacing the fence and building an overhang to cover the porch. He gave me a bid on the spot and was professional. After awarding TBF the bid I met with Jeff again and he brought along Adam who would be the engineer for much of the project. Once again we went over the project and made some adjustments to the bid. This is where I made my first mistake with TBF. None of the details that we went over in the walk through for the wood deck were put in the contract other than the square footage and material. During the walk through I said I wanted the wood deck to be one step above ground and to go to the edge of the coping. This will be a point of contention later. Also, Jeff said that he would throw in the small fence around the pool equipment for free. This wasn?t put in the contract either which was another mistake on my part because I ended up paying for it ($350). Lastly, in the original bid for the concrete and decking work there was an Angie?s List coupon applied to the work for $250 that was taken off of the revised bid. Unfortunately I didn't catch that until after the fact. At the end of this visit we went over a schedule because they would have to coordinate with the company that was remodeling the pool. The project started and the fence, porch overhang, wood deck, and concrete pouring were completed in a timely manner. However, there were a couple of problems with the wood and concrete deck. With the wood deck, there was a place where the pool curved slightly and they did not build the wood deck out to the coping. This basically left a gap that was very noticeable and unattractive. The other problem with the wood deck is that they built it twice as high as what we had talked about. This wasn't a major problem except that they did not include a step on one side of the wood deck which is a safety problem. The problem with the concrete was that during really heavy rains the drainage system in place could not handle the down pour and water came up to my back door but did not flood the house. The lowest point in the concrete decking was about 10? from the back door and the drain was the about the size of a coke can. I spoke with Jeff and Adam at different times about my concerns and I was ultimately told by Jeff that I would be responsible for the cost to build the step, fill in the gap, and to make the drain larger. After another discussion with Jeff he said that he would meet with the owner of TBF and would see what he could do. After about two weeks of no progress or communication, the owner, Colby Coward, called me. He agreed to pay for the drain and the step and I agreed to pay for filling in the gap between the decking and coping ($200). Also the stain and seal had not been put on the concrete and the deck o seal had not been completed. After about three weeks from that conversation the remainder of the work was completed. I still had a large pile of trash and PVC pipe that was taken care of 2-3 weeks later after a phone call. Also, I went out and measured the wood deck and even with the step they have still shorted me a 2-3? in the length ($480). Another concern is that the concrete patio already looks worn and ready to be sealed again. When the concrete was finished it had a nice polished finish and that is now gone. I don?t know how long that finish is supposed to last but I had hoped longer than a month. The last problem was during the demolition they failed to take out and/ or cap two sprinkler line legs which were no longer needed. This resulted in two separate visits by a sprinkler repair man to properly cap the sprinkler line. This was covered by TBF but the process essentially ruined two areas of sod that I had just put down. Overall I gave them a B because of the multiple issues encountered above. While the wood deck, fence, and overhang do look great I am disappointed in the quality of the stamped concrete, the multiple issues encountered, and the general lack of supervision and quality control from the TBF team. They spent very little time on the project site and had very little communication with me on what they were doing which I think resulted in most of the problems stated above. I would be hesitant to use them on large project similar to this one but I would recommend them for fence building
They tore out a 20-year old wood deck and railing and replaced it. I also added a small pergola off the back door in the same cedar. The crew worked hard all day and is very good at their attention to detail. They cleaned up each night and made sure I was happy with the work. I am very pleased with the final deck and pergola
Second time for my husband & I to use Thomas and second time his business gets a 5 star review! Thomas is thorough with the prep work, no cutting corners with him. Thomas and his worker Michael were very professional, kept thing tidy & cleaned up well. Texture looks great along with paint job!
Danny and his team were great to work with. They removed my old chainlink fence and installed a beautiful new pine fence. Really great communication and super helpful in explaining everything along the way. Definitely recommend for your fence project.
I had looked for many months for the right company to remodel my pool and SPA. and it was worth the wait. I was impressed with Ken from Leak-tech from the very first call and remained impressed throughout the remodel experience. Ken arrived promptly for the estimate appointment, took time to listen to my thoughts on what I wanted to achieve, discussed options with me, and was willing to work with me throughout the project to ensure that I would be happy with the end product. His motto was "I want you to be happy with the job. This is an investment that you will be enjoying for many years and you need to be happy with the results". Ken's itemized estimate enabled me to prioritize and select the items that would fit within my remodel budget. As soon as we agreed on the contract details, Ken sent me a schedule for the work with room to adjust should weather impact the plan and still meet some schedule constraints that I had. Ken was very organized with his plan and he communicated with me on a regular basis during the remodel process. I was very impressed with how organized he was, how responsive he was to my questions, how he kept me informed throughout the process, and his genuine desire to ensure that I would be happy with the job performed. Ken's crew exhibited a high degree of professionalism and pride in doing a good job. The quality and workmanship was "A number 1" and I am enjoying my beautiful new pool and deck every day
It was really well. Chad was very personable and definitely man of his words. They made sure that they did it on how what I wanted and the time frame that I wanted it to be done.
I'm sure that there are other custom pool builders out there that are as good as Tyler, but I couldn't find one. My wife and I were new to the process, having never built a pool before. I was concerned with finding the right builder because I wanted one that I could trust, and one that could walk us through the process step-by-step. We had three custom builders come out to our house and discuss our proposed pool. We had a few ideas about what we wanted (more covered area, deck space, etc.), but we also wanted suggestions. We weren't experts, and we were interested in what they thought would work. My main goal was not so much the pool itself, but adding living space in our backyard; some place to go and sit, relax, and enjoy. All of the builders were pleasant and professional, and they all offered suggestions that they thought would work for us. One told us that they would recommend a certain shape but we would most likely need to cut down one of the two giant oak trees in our backyard. The next one was better but only drew out his ideas on a scrap piece of paper. A co-worker of mine recommended Tyler, so I gave him a call. In our first meeting with him, he brought his laptop, iPad, and other information to help us talk through our wants and needs. He had great suggestions – and since he has built so many pools, he had lots of examples to show us. There was no pressure or upsell, just an honest evaluation of what he could do within our budget. In less than an hour we had a computer generated rendering of what our backyard would look like, complete with motion graphics – the water in the pool was flowing, the fire was burning in the fire pit, and our dog was sitting beside the pool. We hired him the next day. Tyler and his whole team were professional throughout the build process. When we asked for slight changes or additions, we discussed it with Tyler and he was accommodating. Even though we had lots of bad weather during construction, his teams worked diligently to get the project finished. Tyler kept us informed at every step, and he was onsite for most workdays. Now we have a beautiful backyard with a great pool and lots of extra living space. It is exactly what we hoped for when we began the process. I would highly recommend Tyler and Dolce Pools for any project, big or small. He is one of the “good guys” who will do high quality work with integrity
Jacob, Wes, and their crew built a really nice board-on-board cedar fence around my backyard. There's a lot of value when the owner of the company is actually doing the work. It's a solid fence, and it looks terrific. I dealt mostly with Jacob, and he is really responsive and easy to work with. Everything he said he'd do, he did, and the finished product is top quality
Terrence Heaney & the team of painters he supplied were wonderful. Terrence gave us color suggestions, very competitive pricing for high-quality paint, primer & caulk, & was able to replace rotting soffits & fascia. This was our first time to have the brick painted, so there was lots of caulking & prep work. Great quality workmanship & professional, punctual crew that did not cut corners. They taped off windows & decking, removed trash & cleaned up nicely. Highly recommend
Frank's team came on time on the appointment date and completed the work quickly and to our satisfaction. The crew was courteous and professional. We will be hiring them again for more work in January.
Michael and his crew did a great job on our backyard project extending our patio using stamped and stained concrete. Also, installed patio fencing around the raised deck as well as some additional metal gates on our existing fence. Michael and his team were very professional, keeping us updated as the project progressed and we were very happy with the final results. Would hire again
I needed a new fence and new arbor and I needed it done quickly bc I have 3 dogs. They did the whole job in one and a half days including raising one side of the fence two feet and placing extra posts in back per my request to strengthen it further bc my dogs are big and they jump on the back fence when in the back yard since it runs along the alley. The arbor was also a huge job bc they had to remove an enormous wisteria. I also upgraded to cedar and they used bigger wood pieces for support so fence is very solid. Kareem, Mack and their whole crew are very professional. I will be using Nufence for subsequent fence staining as well
Tommy is very nice to do business with. The crew performing the work was courteous too. I had requested the deck to be completed in one day, but between the weather and the fact that they started a bit late in the day, they had to come the next day to finish installation. On the second day they realized they were short of material to finish the trim, but the bulk of the job was completed. The next day was Sunday and they did not work. They finally finished on the third day. They hauled away some debris unrelated to the project at my request and that was nice of them. But they backed their vehicle and trailer into my front yard even though I asked them not to because they might break one of the sprinkler heads. At least they managed not to break any sprinkler heads after all, but I wish they had paid more attention in the first place. The new deck looks good, but it is not perfect. I recognize I am a bit of a perfectionist, particularly when paying this much money for a deck. I can live with it
I found Shane Reed to be prompt and thorough. His crewmen are professional, always wearing a Reed shirt. They picked up after themselves every day. You couldn't tell they had been there from trash left laying or blowing around. No loud radio, either. The work completed was top quality and showed a high interest in giving me a quality product
Don and his crew did an incredible job. I enjoyed working with Don and talking through what I was envisioning for my new deck. They completed tearing out the old deck, framing, and building the new deck in a timely matter. It has been the best investment I’ve made on my new house as we have thoroughly enjoyed it during this nice weather
We could not be more thrilled with the deck that Gary and team built for us! Gary provided great suggestions for the design of the deck and Thomas and his crew did an amazing job building it. The attention to detail is really impressive, between pest netting around the bottom, painting of the deck foundation to match the composite, etc.! We went with composite given the rising cost of cedar. Gary provided samples for us to review so we could select both quality and color. The team checking in with us as the project progressed, asking questions to obtain our preferences on placement and symmetry. We are really loving how it looks and cannot wait to be spending more time outside this summer! We highly recommend Geldmeier

What do customers in Dallas say about Deck Builders?
I remembered Lowes from when they had installed my fence two years prior. I called to get a quote on installing a raised deck. They remembered everything about my home so it was easy to explain what I wanted and where. It just took them minutes to give me up to the minute quote that was a better price than I thought it would be. I did not have the deck built at that time but it is still something I will have done as soon as I can and I will definitely go to Lowes!
