The person I spoke with (Bill) was very knowledgeable and scheduled time for the job the following week. Additionally, a previous electrician was supposed to have installed a transfer switch, which I found out later was not done properly. Later that morning, Bill called back to say he had a crew available that day and asked if I wanted them to stop by. I agreed and shortly after met Sean and Casey. Both were professional and did a great job reviewing the project and explaining options. By the end of the day they had removed the improper setup and replace it with a proper set up. In the process they were able to free up space on my main panel for additional circuits. Before leaving they went over the panel and sub-panel and operation with me and made sure the work area was neat and clean. I will use them again for sure

GARY DESIGNED THE SYSTEM (SELECTING FROM SEVERAL MANUFACTURERS), ROGER MANAGED THE PROJECT (CONCRETE TO GAS TO CITY INSPECTIONS), JEFF AND ALAN WERE THE ELECTRICIANS ON SITE (WIRING, TRANSFER SWITCH INSTALLATION, AND XCEL WORK). THEIR WORKMANSHIP IS FIRST RATE AND THE SUBCONTRACTORS (NATURAL GAS PIPING) WERE RESPONSIVE AND EASY TO WORK WITH. - Allied GeneratorsI ordered an Eaton standby generator from Allied Generators working with their sales manager, Roger Heath. Despite some glitches with Xcel Energy regarding the gas line, and a miscommunication with the electrical inspector, I was extremely pleased with Roger and the company. They kept in touch with me, worked promptly with Xcel and the inspector to resolve the problems (which were not Allied's fault!) over a period of a couple of months. The Allied folks, which included a plumber and an electrician, were all knowledgeable, professional, and showed up promptly. I was happy with the whole process. I had also received some bids from a couple of electricians, and I shudder to think of the problems I would have had should I have taken their bids. Installation of one of these generators requires some specialized knowlege unique to the generator, and had I gone with a non-specialist, I am afraid I would be engaged in a long fight over who did not do what correctly. I haven't actually used the generator yet because there have been no power outages, but it did test out perfectly. I am assuming it will work correctly and I will have no reason to regret this glowing review

"We have used Nordeast in the past to install a new electric panel and baseboard heaters in the basement. This time we had some work done to ground some problem outlets that involved digging into the wall. They were able to correct some issues with the wiring from many years ago. "Tim did an awesome job! Everything connected neat and tidily, sweeping up after himself and even putting an extra GFCI on the panel for free! Hired Tim to replace my service panel, upgrading it from 100 amps to 200 amps and get rid of my udersized, underpowered, improperly wired and unpermitted panel that came with the house. I also needed some specialized power (30amp NEMA twistlock) to go to my basement room which he was able to do for a reasonable price and whithin a reasonable timeframe. Everything looks great and no more blowing fuses!!! Nice to see someone who takes real pride in their work and business, it shows from the cool vans and stickers to the professional, clean and neat work he does. Would hire again! PICS before + after

"As everyone knows, it is awfully difficult to identify the cause of an intermittent failure. Usually, by the time the service tech arrives, the unit is working again. That said, living as we do in Minnesota, one canny abide an unreliable furnace in the dead of winter. So, I was extremely happy with the effort put forth by "Jim" of Owens to track down what was in need of repair. He was dogged in his pursuit of the solution, and I am confident once again in the operation of my boiler. Although Jim is our favorite, our family has had outstanding service from a number of Owens technicians, and I think that that says good things about the culture, training and overall quality of personnel at that company. None better in the Twin Cities.

". We had gotten three estimates for this project, and we found Midwest on Angie's List. John Anderson came out and gave us his company's estimate. He was very knowledgeable and professional. He also suggested we go through Home Depot to help finance this project which we did. The workman came on time at 8am, and went right to work. We had a new circuit breaker installed as our old was was not doing its job.They also discovered that our outside gas meter was venting constantly instead of intermittently, so called Center Point to check on it. Sure enough it was leaking natural gas. The Center Point person fixed this concern. We were grateful that Midwest discovered this.
