Called to let me know on way. Listened to dishwasher (water was not draining out of the bottom of the dishwasher all the way) and knew right away what the problem was. Got part out of truck and fixed problem. On to the refrigerator, the ice-maker was leaking and water dispenser was not working. Come to find out one part fixed both problems! Cleaned up and left with everything working great and it cost a lot less than buying a new dishwasher. Also, my wife is happy that she can get ice again from the dispenser instead of ice trays!

Great, in general. I had problems with my dishwasher. When he arrived the tech was excellent and gave me good advice and was very polite. However, my only complaint was that I was twice given wrong information about when someone would arrive. I waited one day and when it seemed time was getting long, I called and was told that the tech's car broke down and they "didn't get the chance to call (me) yet". They said someone would be by during the next am. Then was extended to "by 2pm but probably much earlier & someone would call when he was 15 minutes away". I was called at 1:30 that the tech was (finally) arriving. He arrived at 2:10pm. Once here, I was extremely happy w the service and would call them again. I hope the next time is better organized in terms of response

Maytag had a recall of certain dishwashers with potential fire hazards. Maytag sent the parts and a list of authorized servicers. We used Angie's list to verify the servicer we selected (Central Repair Service) was o.k. There were no problems with the installation of the replacement parts. There was no charge as the work was part of a recall program

Dan Bittner's Appliance Repair
When I called, Dan suggested that I try turning off the circuit breaker for 24 hours to see if that would fix the problem. When that didn't work, he came to the house and worked 45 minutes until he found the part that was defective. He called from the house and found a supplier who had the part to fix the dishwasher. He presented me with the option of repairing the dishwasher at a cost of $225.00 or buying a new dishwasher. I chose to have the dishwasher, which is otherwise in good condition, repaired. There was some delay in him returning to install the part, but that was only because I live in a different part of town. I was grateful to have someone who knew what he was doing make the repair. I now have a 25-year-old dishwasher that works like new

Rippe Brothers came to my house on time. Looked at the dishwasher said it was the control panel. Tried to order the part, the part was unavailable. Told me I would have to buy a new dishwasher and my service charge would go toward the installation of the new one. Before the new one was delivered, Rippe called and said my old dishwasher was on recall. The lady gave me a number to call and the authorization number to use to have my dishwasher fixed at no cost. I called the number, set up an appointment and was very happy when my dishwasher was good as new. I would call Rippe Brothers in the future for all my appliance repairs

When I called the company to set up an appointment, they were very courteous and asked for information on the dishwasher so the tech had the information on his laptop when he arrived. The tech was very professional and kept trying different alternatives until he got our dishwasher working. He also checked other parts of the dishwasher to make sure they were working correctly. We would use Rippe Brothers again. It was worth paying a little extra and have the problem fixed

Called for service appointment, next available time was two days later. I provided all model and serial number information, this allowed the tech to have the right parts when he arrived. I removed the oven (mounted over the cook top) and had it ready for him to work on. Received automated call that service tech was on his way, he arrived promptly. Service tech was courteous and efficient, diagnosed the problem quickly and effectively and explained needed repair. The primary item (magnetron tube) was covered by warranty. He replaced the parts and installed the microwave. His total time here was about one hour. The only issue was cost. Parts were covered by regular warranty, $290 for a service call and labor for repair seems extremely high for this job. A more reasonable charge would be about half that amount
