SCHARM FLOOR COVERING
The quick summary is that our basement carpet has never looked as good as it does now. Over the years the carpet had become rippled and stained in a large great room, hallways, bedrooms, and stairs -- more than 1,000 square feet. Repair: Re-stretching carpet that had become rippled over the years. It took quite a bit of effort to re-stretch the carpet. Some parts in the hallway had to be cut and reseamed. The sections on the stairs had to be retacked. They did not take any shortcuts. Cleaning: With a teenage boy at home the carpet had taken some abuse. There was more than one strain that I would have bet money that those stains could NOT be removed. All the stains were removed and the carpet was cleaned perfectly without being overly wet. The house was a couple of years old when we bought it. They basement carpet had been cleaned a few times including touch-up cleaning with a portable carpet cleaner. However, I do not remember the carpet every looking as good as it does now! If I had known Scharm could do that to the carpet I would have called them much sooner

HE GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE BEFORE HE STARTED THE WORK. MOVED ALL OF THE FURNITURE HIMSELF. THE REASON I NEEDED THE CARPET RE-STRETCHED IS BECAUSE IT HAD BECOME LOOSE, AND HAD BUCKLED UP CAUSING A TRIPPING HAZARD. THE RE-STRETCHING TOOK CARE OF THE PROBLEM.

The rep was prompt when he came to provide the quote. The repairman was a half hour late due to traffic, but that was understandable as he came from South Barrington in rush hour traffic. He quickly went to work and the repair is almost invisible. The stretching was successful and the cleaning exceeded our expectations

Set up an appointment within 5 days of my call. He was about 15 min. late but called me at appointed time to let me know he would be late. Had all tools for the job and quickly went to work. Communicated problems to me and what work he would do. Cleaned up debris (carpet and pad he had to remove) and vacuumed carpet. Job took a bit less than one and a half hours. Price was a bit high but, considering the trouble I had finding someone to do work it was worth it. He also repaired a small tear in one carpet in the middle of the room even though I hadn't mentioned it to him. The carpet appearance is much improved

Anthony stretched some carpeting in bedrooms and a hallway that was especially challenging because of angled doors and irregular shapes to rooms. Had gotten an estimate from another company where they were very hesitant to take on the challenge, but Anthony was able to do it and we're very pleased with the results. .Carpet rippled and had large pockets where it was not stretched. It has large ripple lines of gathered carpet across the room. Installer complained that his knees had arthritis and he could not effectively kick the stretcher in place with his knees. Yes he was using his knees wearing a metal device of some kind. They would knock the carpet against the wall as they crawled along the baseboard.. As a result the un-stretched carpet rippled all over the room. We actually trip on it! Stains in the carpet stay in and cannot be resolved. The fabric is cheap and got nubby within a year. The stains popped up and stayed showing all dirt tracked in on a royal and also a blue carpet. Had to replace the beige carpet in 3 years. In contrast the stainmaster cabin craft put into bedrooms by a local store lasted ten years and did not even need replacing when we took it out. it looked new and the dirt came out. It was sstain free when we took it out to install wood

NATIONWIDE FLOOR AND WINDOW COVERINGS
It went very well. Approximately 4 years ago I bought 3 rooms of wall-to-wall carpeting from Nationwide and was pleased with the installation, etc. Then, a week or so ago I noticed that the dining-room carpeting had stretched & formed 2 "humps," so I called Nationwide to report it; I spoke with manager Charles Jones, who was extremely helpful & nice. We set a date for his crew to come & re-stretch the offending carpet; and the day the 2-man crew was to come, Charles let me know almost exactly what time to expect them, The pleasant crew was amazingly fast & efficient -- my carpet was looking great again within 10 minutes. Charles & his crew made dealing with Nationwide a pleasure; and of course the next time I'm in the market for carpeting, Nationwide is my go-to company. p.s. There was no charge for the re-stretching job

Man Power Restoration
Carlos called me right away as soon as I had the Angie's List results for a local pro. He was able to accommodate my schedule and came out quickly to restretch carpeting in 4 bedrooms as well as make a repair to a small section of carpet we had taken up. He was extremely professional and polite as was his helper. They were clean and cleaned up after the work was done. He was really great to talk to. We were very pleased with his work; we even just noticed that a squeaky part of the floor no longer squeaks. After that job was finished, we asked him to also re-do and complete some drywall work. Again, he was very thorough and clean (hard to do with drywall dust!). I would recommend Carlos' services to anyone and would use him again for any jobs he was able to do. Thank you, Carlos

He made everything so easy for me when I thought this job would be a hassle. This was our first time time having carpet re-stretched and he explained everything step by step. The 3 guys that he sent were friendly, professional and courteous. They were efficient and moved furniture quickly. 3 rooms took 1 hour. They did a great job and cleaned up quickly. They did an excellent job on the repairs. They did a very good job on the cleaning. They also volunteered to return at no charge within 30 days if I wasn't entirely satisfied. At my request, they did return to address some stains that had re-emerged. They did a great job at that point and none of the old stains have returned. Always friendly and accommodating; on time; excellent to deal with. Also were very good about working around window cleaners who were there on the same day they originally came to clean the carpets. They also were very good in being clear about what stains they could not promise would come out
