Before he left, I explained that the refrigerator was hot on the top. Even though he had completed the repair, he took the back off the refrigerator and found a piece of cardboard blocking a fan necessary to cool the refrigerant. DAR came out to diagnose my broken GE refrigerator. Turned out to be a bad control board (very common on GEs) and thus the fan wasn't working. The technician warned that if the refrigerator compressor had run a while without the fan, then the compressor may be toast and time for a new refrigerator. He replaced the board and told me to let the compressor cool down and then try turning back on to see if the compressor would kick in and cool the refrigerator. Turned out the compressor was dead, but DAR was professional and great.
