From the very first phone call the Shed Shop was responsive and very professional. They guided me through my options and their web page which was helpful. The Shed Shop staff and management were very professional and forthright from my first contact through job completion. They did an immediate site inspection. I visited their location, and Paul Johnston was very helpful. My only disappointment was that I already had several ideas about things that I wanted as part of my "custom" shed. Many of these are not part of The Shed Shop "customizing." Rather than being truly custom-built, their products are based on numerous standard buildings, each having numerous options. Within those parameters, each shed is customized by the customer's choices. Because I wanted certain specific things, I had to hire an electrician and a finish carpenter to do things such as install a custom door, pegboard and specific electrical capabilities. Those comments notwithstanding, I agree with another reviewer who said that The Shed Shop product is substantially higher quality than anything I have seen in the home improvement stores. There was a significant wait time due to their backlog, but they went out of their way to fit my shed installation into their overall work schedule at the earliest possible date, (which was within my desired time frame). At all times, I felt that I was kept well informed and well treated. The installation, itself, was done on time, as specified, and by very capable and considerate people. I would certainly recommend The Shed Shop to anyone looking for an attractive, strong, and well built shed with many options. The whole experience was positive. There's a wide variety of shed types to choose from, and a multitude of options. We chose a "Fence Hugger" because the width and height were right, and we chose the length option. You can customize windows, vents, color and shingle style, along with internal options for shelves and electrical. The office staff was helpful, competent, and low pressure. Once we settled on all the options, we were able to have our custom shed installed within a couple of weeks. Installation also went very smoothly (we had separate landscapers prep the site), with the construction finished in a day and electrical added shortly thereafter. We love our new shed! I wouldn't hesitate to use The Shed Shop again, and recommend them to our friendsshow more

That's what they do. They did a real good job. It's still standing. It doesn't leak and the paint is still good. Nothing is falling off or failing to work so I don't have any issues. They were around the middle pricewise. They were a bit expensive, but they do a nice job. I had no problems with their responsiveness. They came out when they were supposed to do it and it didn't take them any longer than what they said. They put it up very quickly. I would use them in the future as long as they had a product that suited my needsshow more

I FIRST LEARNED ABOUT THE COMPANY AT THE ST LOUIS HOME SHOW. THEN I VISITED THEIR OFFICES, TWICE, IN ST. CHARLES TO DECIDE WHICH SHED I WANTED. THEY OFFER SEVERAL DESIGNS, AND TWO LEVELS OF QUALITY. I CHOSE A SHED THAT HAD A WINDOW, A ROOF RIDGE VENT, A SKYLIGHT, A KEY LOCKING DOOR, AND A TREATED FLOOR. ONE OPTION I ASKED FOR, AND THEY PROVIDED, WAS A TALLER DOOR SO I WOULD NOT HAVE TO STOOP WHEN ENTERING OR EXITING. I HAD TO BUY SEVERAL PATIO STONES, SINCE THE LAND WAS NOT LEVEL. I ALSO GOT A PERMIT FROM BRENTWOOD. ONE MAN SHOWED UP AND CARRIED ALL OF THE MATERIALS TO THE BACK YARD AND BUILT THE SHED IN LESS THAN 8 HOURS! I HAD TO BE THERE TO SHOW HIM EXACTLY WHERE I WANTED IT, THEN I TOOK OFF FOR WORK. I HAD TO PRIME PARTS OF IT, CAULK JOINTS AND SEAMS, AND GIVE IT A FINAL COAT OF PAINT. THE BUILDER WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. HE EXPLAINED WHAT TYPES OF CAULK AND PAINT I SHOULD USE, AS WELL AS HOW TO GO ABOUT IT. I WAS VERY SATISFIED AND I AM VERY HAPPY WITH ITshow more

The crew of two arrived on time. The man in charge was reluctant to put the shed where I asked, claiming that it was too close to the property line. He eventually agreed to put the shed near where I wanted it. When I saw the shed completed, the window placement did not appear right. I checked the drawing and measured the windows to find that they had been set 8 inches higher and several inches off laterally from what we had specified. Tuff-Shed had not ordered the correct door so the crew installed a temporary replacement. Tuff-Shed admitted that the errors were theirs and agreed to correct them. Three weeks later the crew arrived to lower the windows and replace the door. The work they did was functionally adequate, but not of good appearance: the siding shows ragged caulked seams above the windows, the paint doesn't match too well and the door and lock set were not installed carefully. The design and materials seem to be good, but the workmanship is only fair to poorshow more

This was the second time I had used Tuff Shed. Their combination of price, speed, selection, and quality is great -- I think they've really got their business down and provide a great product and service. After putting in a request on their site, a sales guy called me to go over my customizations, talk about the site, etc. Sent a marked up satellite photo clarify location, he did a quick drive-by to check for any access problems. Once we were ready to go ahead, turn-around was within a week or two and work was completed within a day (their sheds are partially pre-fabbed so that on-site time is minimized).
