The movers themselves were great. I have no complaints about the 3 men who moved me. My gripe is with the company itself. They offer a 10% discount over $500. to clients. When the men completed the move, I asked why my discount wasn't applied on the paperwork. They said I had to call the office. When I asked the office person about the discount, I was told she would get back to me. When she didn't get back to me, I called and asked again and she said that someone else was working on it. Needless to say, they never called me back and never gave me the discount. The worst part about it is that I recommended my daughter to them who was also moving. She was not given the discount either even though her move exceeded the $500 cost. To update this review, Bunker Hill was contacted by Angie's List and they explained that they had no idea of the offer of 10% that was included on the website. To their credit, they made good on the offer and I received my check for 10% of my moving cost. My daughter also received her check for 10% of her moving cost. I am now a satisfied customer as is my daughter.

I would highly recommend them, they did a great job. They worked me into their schedule and stayed till 2 in the morning finishing up the move for me.

I have used several moving companies over the past 5-years and these guys were hands down the best of the best for our move from Quincy to Hingham. Professional, friendly, careful, efficient and extremely hard working. We had a bit of a change in our plans at the last minute and the team was able to accommodate that change without a hitch (or extra charges). I can't say enough about Steve, Manuel, Francesco, Joanie and the rest of the staff. I recommend them to anyone in the greater Boston area looking for a big or small move and will definitely use them again.

Move went well, but took a full 2 hours longer than quoted (and as a result was more expensive than quoted). The team was very careful with our items, and in our opinion, went overboard packing items to prevent them from breaking. The team was professional and we were happy with the move overall. I would recommend them.

This great experience began with Joanie in the office. Bunker Hill Moving came to me highly recommended, and I can see why. From the start, Joanie was attentive and professional, and followed up with me before and after the move. She made me feel confident that I'd made the right choice. And, importantly, her estimate was right on! Marcos and his team arrived right on time, introduced themselves, assessed the situation and got to work. I was living in an apartment in a very large private home -- I not only had furniture in my apartment, but also boxes, additional furniture and a treadmill in the basement on the far end of the house. This was overwhelming to me but presented no problem at all to the guys. They treated each and every item as if it were their own -- everything was padded and wrapped and moved with care. They even placed blankets on my rugs so they wouldn't get soiled. Moving can be stressful, but Marcos and the guys were calming and left me with no concerns. They were attentive to every small detail, asking questions and pointing out items--such as curtain rod brackets--that I had forgotten. I'd left the brackets on the wall because I couldn't get the screws out. Marcos ran to the truck, got his drill and removed the brackets for me. Amazing! The weather was warm, and I had to force the guys to stop and have water! In four hours, Marcos and his team moved me out of my home in Scituate, made a stop at my Mom's in Dedham to pick up a dresser, and moved me into my new home in Dedham. Talk about efficient !

This review is to update my last review. The owner himself, Marcos Santos, called me, and to resolve my issue about the scratches on the wooden piece between the kitchen tiles and the wood floor hallway, (that occured when he and his helper were taking out my old frig.), he offered to drive over and personally give me a check for $75.00 to cover the cost of getting a new piece of wood. I thanked him and said you don't have to drive over, (about 7 miles), you can just put it in the mail; he insisted on delivering it himself, so I said ok and he showed up the next morning, exactly on time with the check. So, I am now satisfied that the issue is resolved.

Excellent! Before the team arrived, I received a call from the office explaining we would only have 3 men on the team instead of 4 because one of the men had worked too many hours the day before and by law couldn't work that day. We were then given a cheaper rate because of being one man less. Our team was exceptional! They worked extremely hard from the moment they arrived. It was a hot day and moving from the 3rd floor was brutal enough, but they did it no problem and without complaining. I was happy for them especially, that we were moving to a 1st floor. We would recommend Bunker Hill Moving to our friends and family - actually, if we move again in the future, we will be contacting you again and asking for the same team. I contacted Bunker Hill Movers because we were relocating from one town to another. I spoke with a very friendly person named Joanie who assisted me with scheduling the move and answered all of my questions. The move consisted of furniture from three bedrooms, a living room, dining room, and miscellany such as air conditioners, exercise equipment, freezer, and desks/tables. The move date was scheduled for 10/11/12 at 8:00 a.m. Joanie contacted me the day before the move to confirm the date and time and re-assured me the move would go well. I appreciated her assurance but I also knew it needed to be proven. There are many moving companies out there so it can be blind faith when hiring one. The movers, led by Marcos Santos, arrived right on time at 8:00 a.m. We spent about five minutes surveying the scope of the work and then Marcos and his crew started right in. They took great care to protect each item of furniture with blanket wrap to ensure nothing would be damaged in transit. They also made sure no damage was done to the walls and floors as they moved the items. In just about two hours the movers had packed and loaded all of the targeted items for the trip to our new home. The offload at the new address was very smooth. And fast! Prior to moving in, we had the wood floors re-finished and Marcos and the crew were extremely careful to ensure they weren't damaged. They placed each item where directed, re-assembled the bed frames, and set up each room in "move-in" condition. The entire move was completed in about four hours! The Bunker Hill team works very well together. From the office management to the relocation specialists, the whole experience was a pleasure. The crew was very friendly and professional. Moving can be stressful but I would recommend Bunker Hill Movers to family and friends for any size job.

The move went fantastic. I have a very strange schedule due to my job and they were happy to work around it. Their flexability was priceless. They did the move on a Sunday, midday and from start to finnish they were wonderful. nothing broken, nothing scratched.
