Legacy Bath & Kitchen

[company name removed] did a beautiful job and everything was completed as ordered but it took longer than anticipated. Some parts and the glass door were late in coming. Glass door installers made a slight nick on the shower floor which [company name removed] eventually repaired but not to the original condition as now it tends to appear as a light stain. Our front door has scratches on the bottom which I did not notice till months later but suspect was caused when the shower door was brought inside. The price was high but expected for the material used and the warranty you get

MASTER REFINISHERS

Our experience with this company was positive. This is rental property and after the tenant moved out we saw that the bottom of the fiberglass bathtub was cracked and peeling from a previous repair. We had a potential buyer for the house so we wanted to have the tub repaired. However, before we could have the work done, the buyer indicated that after purchase, they were going to renovate the bathroom so we put the repair on hold until the purchase was completed. If the buyer does not complete the purchase, we will definitely have the work done so we can rent the property again

The plumber called to tell us he was on his way and showed up on time. We provided our own fixtures we had purchased because we wanted to pick out what we wanted. We have a fiberglass tub surround and I was expecting they were going to have to remove the surround to replace the fixtures. I was extremely surprised and pleased that he was able to replace the fixtures with out removing the surround. He left the bathroom clean and did an extremely professional job. I will certainly use them again

Installer stated that he did not like to do fiberglass tubs as opposed to metal tubs did not seem to pay attention to detail did not clean up after the work....left a dirty sticky residue on the floor that took about an hour of scrubbing to clean up Spots were missed on the tub i.e. not sanded properly....They were prompt to re do and repair however the finish the second time did not seem to be like the first... My estimation a bit over priced and an admitted lack of confidence by the installe

Elemens

These people are not to be trusted. I had a water heater leak and they came in and removed the blow-in insulation, a small light fixture and smoke detector. The presumably installed the same light fixture (new), bought a roll of insulation at Lowes/Home Depot (didn't even install it correctly--see pics) , removed mold?? No more than a 1-2 days after the leak? and they repainted the hallways. So how do you repaint sheet-rock that is wet and bowing? I'm now having the replace that entire part of the hallway. Stay away from these people. 20 Jul 2011 Update: I recently inspected all my smoke detectors and decided to replace them because most of them had come with the house when it was built--1995-1996. All the detectors were wired and had batteries for backup if the house power went out. When Elemens replaced the detector following my hot water heater leak--they failed to replace with an original wired (with battery backup) smoke detector. What they did was go out and get a very cheap (non wired) detector in installed it--but charged me $75 ($12.49 light and for a light fixture and $12.99 for the detector)

John's Home Repair & Improvement
5.0
John did a superb job replacing the damaged wood trip around the chimney top. He carefully removed the existing aluminum chimney cap, raised it up, installed new wood pieces and reinstalled the chimney cap. John recommended using cedar, instead of pine. I elected the cedar. He did not charge me extra for the more expensive wood. He primed and painted BOTH sides of the wood prior to installation. His joints were glued as well as screwed together (not nailed). In his finish installation he also used screws. His installation was cosmetically perfect. He caulked and sealed the new trim pieces and painted them with a finish coat. John used a fiberglass replacement piece to repair the rotted door trim. This was expertly installed, filled and caulked. Now that the trim has a new coat of paint you can't tell where the repair was made. While he was working on the door, he noticed that it rubbed a bit so he adjusted the depth of the hinge so that it operates smoothly. A nice bonus. Overall an excellent job done on a mutually agreeable timetable. I definitely recommend him

This company has an installation crew who work all over Texas. They know their business. Work hard. My installation was done in one day. A leak in the drain was noted the week after installation. They responded within 2 days and found that the leak was caused by factory installed (Incorrectly) gasket. Worked 2 hours to replace it

We called, got a very knowledgeable serviceman to come by and examine and give an estimate. I know something about plumbing, having goten my limite experience when completely plumbing an apartment I helped build. I realized that getting a line to the Mstr bath lavatory and shower from the HW heater would require chopping several holes in our walls and celings. That seemed like a major task to me and a call to my State Farm office made me aware that they would not pay one cent toward dreplacing a line, since here was no obvious damage to the structure. I did not want to WAIT fill I saw a major damage area, so I turned off the hot warer and asked Wills to go ahead and do the repair. They promised to be here between 9 and 11 a.m. the following day. I got a call at 8:55 telling me they were on their way. They arrived, got busy laying out the problem and likely places to start. The plumber who was running the job knew some tricks. Several hours working in a hot attice which was filled with blown fiberglass was no picnic for them, but they got the job done with minimum demolition of my walls and none to my ceiling. Not only amazing to me, this was so much better than I had expected and I would recommend the plumber, Ian, and his helper, Marc, to anyone. Both good at their jobs, and working together like a real team, these guys did a much better job than I would have expected from any plumber and I would enthusiastically recommend them to anyone for any sort of plumbing needs

I was told that since the water heater in question was under warranty the technician would come out and "rebuilt" the water heater. When the tech came out to start work, the replacement parts would not fit. So, he had to pull apart the existing burner assembly and replace several components. At this point he had the burner about 90% disassembled, but instead of finishing the disassembley and replaceing the fiberglass insulation correctly, he tore the insulation to get around the final piece he didn't remover form the burner. The tech reinstalled the burner and proceded to stuff the torn insulation around the burner assembly. He finished reinstalling the burner and new thermostat and started the pilot. When he left he assured me that the water heater was working properly. However, several hours later we still had no hot water. I called the company back and explained the situation. I also explained the issue with the torn insulation. I was told that this is not proper practice and I received an apology for this oversight. The tech called me back and told me he knew the reason why the water heater was not working. By the time I got back out to the house he was already there waiting. He connected the ground wire he forgot to connect previously and at my insistence, replaced the insulator. This time, he tested the water heater to insure that the burner would start consistently. I did not like having to leave work again to have the job redone, but I am satisfied that the work was eventually completed correctly. The tech was very friendly and the office staff was very apologetic. Dos: Do insist that the work is done properlyDon'ts: Don't be affraid to insists on quality work or to complain if shortcuts are taken
The crew showed up on time both days and was very accommodating with my work schedule. They kept the areas they were working on clean and cleaned up and took the old windows and glass once everything was done. Very professional and would hire them again. Pricing for them was also very fair and no pressure tactics when it came to pricing
It didn't go at all because I didn't hire them. I don't even need insulation work done, but if I did, I'd hire someone within the city limits of my home. I'm only submitting a review because Angie's List keeps sending me pestiferous emails demanding a review for professionals I didn't hire or need. Do better, Angie's List
Jorge was on time. Came back when he was suppose to. I love the way the shower turned out. It looks like new. I only had to send in a picture to get a quote instead of someone coming to my house. Debi was very quick if I had any questions. The house will smell for about 24 hours so do it when you can open windows and use your fans
scheduling took a bit longer to arrange because of Dan Johnson teaching schedule and Agrave; la carte pricing eliminated surprises on final costs The work required about 4 hours, the work area was well and quot;roped -offand quot; to control sanding dust.
Extremely well. Even had to redo two screens because they had locking clips on the bottom which he could not see from the outside. They were done at no extra cost and came back the next day even though I told him it could wait until they were out this way again.
Jim did a great job. I would use him again. Very professional. He went out of his way in helping us get the doors we wanted and save money. He did an outstanding job!
The project manager was nice and willing to work with us. They explained everything to us well and they were very thorough. They were always responsive to us.
Overall experience was very positive. The technician doing the work was obviously very experienced. Any question I had he was able to answer. He taped off some exposed areas not to be resurfaced, and hung plastic in other exposed areas. Since the process does produce an odor, the technician set up a blower system to force fumes out an open window. Some repair of grooved and pitted areas of the tub was planned and accomplished. A bonding agent and primer coat was applied and then the multiple coating process was applied. The whole process from arrival to departure took about five hours

Marc was punctual, professional and prepared to do the work. He stayed busy and completed each task in a workman type manner. He charged the hourly rate proposed and completed his task early. The total was less than the estimate in that he finished in fewer hours than estimated. I am very happy with this contractor and will not hesitate to use him again

Brent did an incredible job. Professional, polite and hardworking. The Miracle Method resurfacing looks amazing. We are more than pleased with the results. I highly recommend Scott, Brent and the Miracle Method product.
