Excellent work and excellent response time. Romulo showed us why the old concrete cracked and we put in a thicker pad with some fiberglass mesh to prevent the new section from cracking and also used a higher grade concrete. Work was done within a week of my call to him, and went very well. I would highly recommend his company to anyone that needs concrete work done.

Contractor dug French drains and laid drainage pipes around our barn. He excavated the soil and leveled an area for a 9' x 33' concrete pad in our barn. He assured us that he had experience laying concrete, although it became evident to us that he had no idea how to do it. He failed to grade the area properly for the concrete pad for drainage. He shorted us on concrete and failed to float, grade, or finish the surface properly. There were holes in the concrete and dirt, straw, and debris in the concrete. The pad began cracking almost immediately and three large cracks have subsequently appeared. Contractor tried to rush off the job the last day without finishing the worked he agreed to do. He was paid in full but still tried to overbill us for work not completed. I had to subsequently hire another concrete contractor to regrade and finish and seal the pad and to repair the cracks in the concrete. A building inspector who checked the work called it the worst concrete work he had ever seen. This contractor misrepresented himself. He had no idea how to pour concrete. Do not use him for any concrete work.

Mr Medina promptly contacted me after my inquiry on Angie's List. He immediately came to my home to inspect the driveway and sidewalk, approximately 2300 square feet, and had a quote to me in less than 24 hours. I agreed on the price immediately, because of the reviews and had done exhaustive research as to what I wanted and what to expect cost-wise. The pricing was very fair! They showed up when they said they would and performed the job as I promised. I am not easy to please and am a perfectionist to put it mildly; I know what I want, expect it to be done, and am willing to pay for quality. I am completely satisfied with the job that Tony Medina and his crew performed, and have to say they exceeded my expectations. They are coming back to seal the driveway/sidewalk in 3-4 weeks depending on the heat. It is not surprising that high-end builders choose this company to install their concrete driveways. My home is a $350+ home, not a high end home by Greensboro standards, which made no difference to Mr. Medina. Just a great job with an honest man. I can't say enough good things about the job performed and the people who performed it!

I had large and uneven cracks in my driveway. I called several places and Tony was the only one to call me back - and then came by that afternoon to give me an estimate. The estimate was very reasonable. He said he could do the repair in 3-4 weeks but within a few days he called to tell me he had an opening. Tony and his crew were on time, very professional and hard working. They cleaned up after all their work. My driveway looks so much better. Highly recommend!

RP Enterprises

Absolutely terrible. After reading many good reviews I decided to go with RP Ent. This has been an awful nightmare. Todd is very abusive and speaks to you in a condescending tone. Todd destroyed my existing good parts of the driveway, by driving heavy machinery back and forth and scraping the concrete creating massive gouges and crumbling, separated the pads by having heavy weight resting on them,, he hit my house with something and broke up the corner of my brick foundation which will require a brick Mason to fix, busted a huge hole in my garage floor pad and called it a chip, tore up a patch of my septic field, removed and disposed of a section of my newly poured walkway and then told me he wasn't going to remove the pad we had already agreed was to be removed. He was going to try to resurface the driveway at my expense to cover damages he created. He then tried to tell me my driveway had all this damage before he started work. I was told I needed to supply photographs to prove my driveway wasn't damaged before that day. At that point I told him he needed to pay for all of the damages and remove the pad he was supposed to originally (especially since it was cracked it down the middle) They refused and stated that there were only minor fixes and that driveway only needed cleaning. Again stating the driveway was damaged before hand. He came to my property while I was working and measured the property, because he obviously measured wrong the first time, removed the concrete forms and left the property. They did not bother to knock on the door nor call me to let me know they were here. He basically left me with a huge mess that will now cost me more than triple the amount to fix and is sending me demanding emails wanting me to pay for a dump truck or else he is sending me to collections. ***Edit** I received another email this morning from him stating he has seen this review and is now going to put a lean on my home. Beware, this is what you may have to deal with if you chose this company. I will be taking this to small claims court. They would like to claim that I had no intentions of paying which is absurd. I surely would pay for a concrete job that was done correctly and for the terms negotiated. However, this company needs to take responsibility and pay for all damages done to my property.

They did an excellent job. Our yard was sinking in so the concrete walkway had fallen down from steps and they did exactly what I asked them to. I told them that I want them to bring that up-to-code, then, slant it down at two-degrees, make a corner, and then, make the corner flat. So, they did exactly what I wanted to. I was real happy. The price was an Angie’s Deal. You cannot beat that. It was cheap. It was a $500 Angie’s Deal and we took two of them; one for the driveway and one for the walkway. I moved somewhere else, but if I am still there, I would use them again.

NEW PHASE CONCRETE

It went very well - I was very pleased with the end result. Joe has a lot of experience with concrete work which I needed because the new patio had to match an existing patio. I liked the fact that he owns the company and also does the work himself - he's very knowledgeable and you can tell he cares about his work. He did a great job with the concrete and and even better job stamping it to match my existing concrete which he touched up also. I would definitely recommend him and actually have to neighbors.

Not one issue. They arrived on time every person on his crew is very polite and hard working. We chose gray slate and it's gorgeous to this day and it was done 7 years ago. They also installed a massive retaining wall and did an incredible job they also made a small retainer wall with extra blocks at no charge!

With driveway permit already in hand, I Requested quotes on Angie's list 3/13, Tony immediately called the next morning prior to anyone else and was promptly onsite as agreed to do an estimate 3/15. After i agreed on the quote he asked for a deposit to get started so i made an appointment for the following Thursday 3/21 when i was off work to take care of everything, that Wednesday 3/20 his crew did the forms so the inspector could inspect it. Inspector came and inspected 3/21 around 11-12:00, after a few messages back and forth about some adjustments the inspector wanted and some pricing issues (mostly inspectors fault), Tony's crew started at 1:30 and within 2 hours the apron was completely done and roped off, I was amazed at the speed of service because I literally barely had time to get the cashiers check from the bank before these guys were completely done...lol...His price was a bit high for my area (roughly 300 more, no biggie), but Tony and his crew was definitely worth every extra cent based on the speed, communication and quality of how he and his crew gets the job done, and the quality was far better than I anticipated or even initially asked for...I'll Definitely be calling this amazingly efficient crew for my next project and would highly recommend them to anyone out there looking for speed, communication and quality....Thanks Tony Madina! A++

In the end it all turned out better than expected. Had a little trouble with the concrete company but Lewis and son would not settle for half a**. Excuse my language. They went above and beyond to make sure it was done right. I would recommend them 10 times over. Wish I could included photos of the job well done. I got a 12×12 slab to extend my existing slab. Great Job!!!!

I just had a concrete patio poured by Eddie Hunt of Masonry Concepts. The area was approximately 13' x 28'. I am very happy with the finished product. Eddie is the real deal. He returns your calls in a timely fashion and he does what he says he will do. He is a competent professional and a gentleman. I recommend him highly.

Carolina Decorative Concrete

I've been involved with residential construction for many years. During that time I've seen many concrete jobs preformed by people who call themselves professionals. They need to watch Lou and his crew if they really want to see professionals pour concrete. Lou come out a few days before to assess the work we needed and offered ideas along with ways to get the concrete behind our house. I have had two other companies say they couldn't get the concrete to the location we needed it because of a steep slope around a retaining wall that leads to the patio we needed poured. Lou was not even phased by this hurdle! He came out the next day with a "Georgia-Buggy" which looks like a shopping cart on steroids designed specifically for transporting large volumes of concrete in and around areas where trucks are unable to go. In less than an hour, Lou and his crew, Big-Joe, Edgar and the Rev had poured 18+/- yards of concrete perfectly, paying special attention to slope our patio in a manor that would exit the water away from our house. I can go on and on about our experience we had with Lou Sullivan but that would take too long, so I'll just recap by saying this. If you need an honest hard working professional crew that has a passion for working with concrete and an even stronger passion for doing a remarkable job, call Lou Sullivan at Carolina Decorative Concrete. I promise you will not be disappointed!
