Our #CleanSchoolBus program is accelerating the transition to electric vehicles – which means cleaner air for our children. Thanks to funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, EPA deployed nearly $1 billion this year to replace polluting school buses.

Today, is taking action to protect the people of St. Croix impacted by pollution. Under the Clean Air Act, we are requiring the refinery on the island to take action to ensure compliance with environmental laws.

EPA created a new $5 billion grant program for small or disadvantaged communities to address emerging contaminants like PFAS in drinking water systems. 55 states and territories intend to participate in this program next year.

There are 6 to 10 million lead service lines still in the ground across the country. 20 states were awarded grants to remove lead service lines in their communities, as we continue working to remove every lead pipe in the country.

Congrats to on their $200,000 EPA award to advance understanding of how existing anaerobic digestion capacity at pulp & paper mills can be leveraged to treat campus food waste and reduce greenhouse gases caused by its decomposition.

Today at #COP27 in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt, we announced our proposed standards to cut methane pollution. These stronger standards would significantly reduce methane emissions – one of the biggest drivers of climate change – and protect communities.
