Our Story

We are a non-profit organization dedicated to funding research with the highest probability of preventing, slowing or reversing Alzheimer’s disease.

The vision for Cure Alzheimer’s Fund was set by our founders. Frustrated with the slow pace of research about the disease, they applied their experience in venture capital and corporate startups to build an organization specifically designed to accelerate research, make bold bets, and eradicate the disease. The organization’s unwavering focus on finding a cure is made possible by our Board of Directors which finances our overhead expenses so that 100% of all donations go to support our research.

CUREALZ Founders

Our founders—Jeff Morby, Jacqui Morby, Henry McCance, and Phyllis Rappaport—saw the need for a new approach to Alzheimer’s research. In forming Cure Alzheimer’s Fund, they created the only nonprofit organization dedicated exclusively to finding a cure for the disease. Guided by their vision, we encourage our scientists to pursue the wild ideas and take the bold risks which we believe will lead to a breakthrough.

The Disease

Some may believe that Alzheimer’s disease is an inconvenient loss of memory and a normal part of the aging process. It is not normal – it is the slow and unrelenting degradation of the brain. Its victims lose their memories to the point where they may forget to eat, to drink, and require round the clock care. This disease must be stopped.
