i had player.fm for years. it was perfect, had so many features that on other apps you'd have had to pay for. but first, there were the pop-up ads that wouldn't go away and required a restart, then recently, the play button would respond, but the playback wouldn't start or start minutes later! i double-checked all my other apps and on other phones to see if it was me, but all the others worked. i exported all my subscriptions to another app (which was made pretty difficult, btw). so it's goodbye

Removing 4 stars because the latest update appears to have rendered the app useless. More disturbing and suspicious: the annoying ad banners started clicking on themselves! What's going on? Back to the other apps I go. Original review: Many features, all for free. For what I need, it is the perfect podcast player, and my new favorite (pushing podcastone, tunein, and definitely iheartradio to the side). Also, you will note in the reviews, the developers appear to be very responsive. Nice work!

I've been using this app for years for all my podcasts, it's been very good, but every so often an update breaks the app as happened in early November 2022. all good now but i wasted a lot of time trying to diagnose it. -------- feature suggestion: provide a toggle in UI for turning autoplay on/off w/o having to hunt in settings menus
