ICANN has announced the successful candidates selected to participate in the ICANN Fellowship Program at the ICANN76 Community Forum. A total of 40 applicants from 35 countries will take part in the 11–16 March 2023 meeting in Cancún, Mexico, with all representing various sectors of society including civil, government, and country-code top level domain operations, among others.

ICANN is proud to announce it has appointed Nitin Wali, a 25-year veteran of the technology industry, as the Senior Director of Stakeholder Engagement for the South Asia region, covering Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. Wali joins ICANN today to serve as a key representative for ICANN in one of its most dynamic regions.

The Africa Domain Name System (DNS) Forum, held in Nairobi, Kenya, on 5–6 October 2022, attracted more than 200 participants. This marked the 10th year of this multistakeholder DNS industry event. ICANN is proud of what this event has achieved over the years, and extends warm congratulations to our organizing partners, sponsors, and the African DNS community, friends, and colleagues.

ICANN is calling for volunteers to join a design team aimed at developing a plan for safely changing the cryptographic algorithm used for the Domain Name System root key signing key and zone signing keys.
