How can I get support for Windows 11?
Dell supports Windows 11 with the general availability beginning of October 5th, 2021 on:
- New systems with Windows 11 factory installed
- Systems Dell computers tested for upgrade to Windows 11
For systems that don’t meet Windows 11 upgrade requirements, Dell continues to support Windows 10.

How can I get support for Windows 11 if my system does not meet Windows 11 hardware requirements?
Dell continues to support your system within the scope of the hardware warranty the system was shipped with.
Driver and BIOS updates:
Systems that don’t meet Windows 11 hardware requirements can consume driver and firmware updates through Windows Updates. Dell however does not guarantee Windows 11 driver availability for such system models, and performance troubleshooting is limited to best effort (based on the support agreement of the system).
Does Dell support Windows 11 Insider builds, or Windows 11 images that bypass the hardware requirements?
No. Dell agents will ask you to revert to the factory installed Windows 10 edition for any performance related troubleshooting assistance.
How can I upgrade to Windows 11?
The system must meet or exceed minimum system requirements for Windows 11.

When can I get the upgrade?
Microsoft will offer the upgrade to Windows 11 in multiple phases between October 5th, 2021 and Spring of 2022.
