"Project: A damper needed to be installed between the furnace and one duct line leading from it. In order to make sure all registers fed by the duct line were controlled by the damper, it had to be positioned as high upstream as possible. The job was complicated by an unclear vision that this should have been the original plan. This was not entirely due to the technicians. The cost of the job was calculated based upon breaking into the ceiling and accessing a substantial amount of duct. After about 5 ft of ceiling was exposed, the owner realized that any dampers installed in the exposed duct would be too far downstream to control nearby upstream registers. The job was re-purposed at that point, with the help of a more experienced technician than the one who designed the original job. A small section of the ceiling much closer to the furnace was opened up, and a damper--designed and constructed by the experienced technician--was installed through a slit made in the duct. The damper could be controlled from the outside by a lever, and would be able to determine heat flow to the registers that had been providing too much heat to the affected bedroom. HVAC Guru reduced the job cost by 11.5% to reflect the reduction in labor from the original invoice. The technicians were courteous, responsive and professional. Administrative personnel were courteous, responsive and professional. Some detailing for the damper control, and testing under real conditions (winter weather) are all that remain for the experience to be considered completed."

"The President and owner, Ted Fich, came out to our home to determine if our 1700 sq ft concrete aggregate, cracked, ugly 25 year old patio could be resurfaced and repaired by his companies coating process. Ted worked with us on selecting a style explained the process and showed examples of what it would look like when finished. He explained how our pool and spa coping would be installed. We selected the design similar to the picture on the front of the Rock Solid brochure. Alfonso Garcia, Mario Lopez and Raul Garcia showed up every day, proceeded with the processes with due diligence and finis"

"Salesman was on-time & prepared. The scheduled work was completed on schedule. The insulation had an immediate impact on our indoor temperatures. Our only disappointment was the visible and pervasive damage to the interior walls from the tool that forces-in the insulation."

Noisy neighbors are a nuisance, but what if you're the one creating all of the ruckus? Soundproofing a room or even our entire house can ensure that you can make as much noise as you want without getting in trouble with the neighbors or the rest of your family. If you like to play an instrument, listen to loud music, or even just have a big family, soundproofing can help ensure you have your privacy.

Soundproofing a room is also useful if you plan to transform it into a home theater or home recording studio. Not only is loud sound kept in the room, but outside disturbances can be kept out.

Soundproofing often involves absorption, damping, and mass. Filling walls with special fiberglass insulation helps with sound absorption. Applying damping compound between two layers of drywall and subfloor helps to turn them into "dead panels" that do not vibrate and, thus, do not pass sound. Installing special drywall that is heavier and thicker (more massive) can also help soundproof a room. You can soundproof an already existing room, or you can construct an entirely new area to suit your needs.
