Comment: We want to extend our kitchen into part of an existing carport, to accommodate a 9' piece of furniture currently in storage (all our ceilings are 8'), to increase the functionality of the kitchen, and to have better access to our back garden. We want to keep part of the carport for the car, as we like that protection. We also want a front porch, but not right away. However, the design will need to be integrated to accommodate the new kitchen area, carport, and porch all together. We have a contractor whom we love and a pretty good idea of what we want, so we are close to being ready for technical drawings. However, we would like to consult with someone about different ways to configure and use the new and old space in a way that's efficient, aesthetically pleasing, and comfortable.

Additionally, we would need to move the current furnace to the scrawl space to create space for that expansion. The half-bathroom is next to the furnace, water heater, laundry. We are looking for quotes for planning this out.
