We had Terrible Experienceed. If you want punctuality call another office. The man was scheduled to come between 10:00 and 10:30 AM. The previous day I got a phone call from the company verifying the day and arrival time for the job which was fine. Well 2 hours later and no courtesy phone call letting me know when I can expect someone to show up I call the company. I spoke to I believe the installer manager and she said oh we have a big truck we are unloading. I said couldn't someone there have the courtesy to call me and let me know you are running late. She did not say a word. She verified my phone number and said she would call back. I told her I wanted the work done that day. Well she never called back. At 2:15 PM the man showed up which was 4 hours late. I told him about the lack of courtesy in the office for not informing me what was going on there. He was not aware of any of this. The installer agreed that I should have received a phone call. Needless to say I was not very friendly in the beginning to the man but then I talked to him and told him I knew he was not to blame for coming 4 Hours Late. The man did a good job and cleaned up and the door looks very nice also. I will call a different Overhead Door office next time I need service since this company was used to install the garage door and opener in our new home

THEY OFTEN HAVE COUPONS IN REACH MAGAZINE OR ONLINE. ALL QUOTES WE RECEIVED WERE $1100-1319. THIS WAS THE SECOND HIGHEST. WE WENT FOR THE CLOPAY BRAND DOOR WHICH WAS THE MOST EXPENSIVE, BUT BASED DECISION ON FRIEND'S RECOMMENDATION. A HOME IMPROVEMENT STORE WAS ACTUALLY THE $1319 PRICE. THE OTHER BRANDS SEEMED OK, BUT WE DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT ANY OF THEM SO WENT WITH THE FRIENDS RECOMMENDATION

The salesman and the installer were both very punctual and here on time. The installer, who worked on the doors for about 2 1/2 hours, did an excellent job. Everything was cleaned up leaving no mess behind. I just wanted to give them a great recommendation on Angie's List.

I was very happy with A/E's performance pretty much from start to finish. Estimator knew what he was talking about, we appreciated the options offered and having an estimate right then and there particularly the insulated options that got us in the end a quieter door and a tax credit. The only real hiccup was that the scheduling got the date wrong which really in the end was not an ordeal because we got the time we planned on originally and the install went well. Came on time. I felt bad that we were not there to thank them when they left due to work schedule but everything was where we asked to be and we like the door, the opener (especially our kids) and the key-less entry. All three estimates we received were in the same ballpark but we liked the product, particularly in hindsight since the opener is extremely quiet. A good job and we would recommend them highly

This company is at the Too of my list for future work like this. I stooped on to pick my door. They were very helpful in walking me through the options, color, design, etc..I paid a small deposit. They ordered the door. We scheduled an install date. The installation man came out and took down my old door and hauled it away. He installed the new door with such indexably perfect detail that I was amazed. This outfit is top notch in my opinion. I will use them again and I will recommend them to everyone I talk to

Garage Door Service
The sales rep went out of his way to meet me to estimate the job ASAP. The door was on sale which was on top of a 10% Angie's List discount which made for a very affordable transaction. I doubt anyone else in town will install as nice a door for the same price. Installation was performed without my being there (previously arranged). The installer(s) determined that my garage door opener needed to be replaced, so they unplugged it and left the garage door disconnected from it. I was called and notified that my eye sensors did not work and that the opener would not close. I went to the property later that evening, aligned the eyes, reseated their plugs, and was able to operate the opener without issue. I went to connect the door myself, but found the cotter pin to connect the opener arm to the door missing. I called the installer and he realized he had forgotten to leave it. He offered to come by later that evening, but I was unavailable. We agreed that he would call me the following day to arrange a time for either him or someone else to meet me at the site to complete the installation. One and a half days later, I hadn't heard from the installer, so I called the sales person. He was very apologetic and assured me that this is not how AE Door does business. He committed to getting the problem resolved the next day. The next day, I did get a call, but only after the tech had been to the site and left. Apparently a tenant had activated the garage door opener leaving it in the closed position. That caused the arm to block the door. He left the cotter pin in the mail box, and soon after, the sales person called me to let me know. I later went to the site and finished the door installation myself. I would have appreciated not having been left that work to do myself, but I did not complain about having to do it and the sales person did not offer. I noticed that on the inside, one panel is slightly bent, but it does not show on the exterior of the door and I don't expect it'll impact the long term function of the door either. The opener is still working just fine. I was able to adjust the travel and set the reverse sensor with no troubles. The eyes that previously did not work are working fine now. I don't want to believe that I was sold a half truth, but I would say it'd be worth your while to double-check claims about broken this or broken that when they weren't quoted in the original bid

Very pleased with overall service. Had initially heard bad things about company and wasn't going to call them for a quote. Last minute I did and at that point I knew what I wanted so the salesman and I didn't talk much. But they had a great product and price and when I checked them out on Angie's List their feedback was way higher than my previous first choice. My salesman was flexible with my schedule, the door came in quickly, and the man who came out to install my product was great. My only quibble is that on install day I had an afternoon appointment scheduled, they were running early, and they asked if they could start sooner. I was at work and was only taking half a day off. The installer was cool with waiting for my scheduled time, but his boss called me and put a bit of unwanted and unwarranted pressure on me to get there to get the work done. I did get there early since I felt bad for the installer, but I didn't like the heavy hand. But outside of that, I really like the product and the work they did. Would recommend

Our garage door was not consistently responding to either the wall mounted control or the car remote controls. The mechanical aspects of the 2-year-old door worked just fine, but there was a communication problem between the controls and the door opener. Mike came out, sprayed some oil on the lifting mechanism and said we should just buy a completely new garage door. But, I could see that mechanically the door worked fine and the problem was with the unit receiving the signals from the control units. Later, I had the Overhead Door company come out and they correctly assessed the problem as a wiring problem and fixed the wiring. Garage Door Service was correct in stating that for the cost of repair, they could install a new door, but the problem is that if the wiring problem was not corrected, I was going to continue having intermittent problems with the door. I think professionals should have been able to correctly diagnose the real problem. Plus Garage Door Service would have driven off with a perfectly good used garage door that could easily have been resold for additional profit. Just my two cents

Everything went great from sales to install. very professional and very good product. The installer was professional polite and everything was cleaned before he left. He installed a 2 car and 1 car triple insulated garage doors with openers taking down old garage door and hauled away. We will definitely use them again. The doors are a quiet you can't hear them inside the house

I purchased the garage door opener from Lowes and also took the installation from Lowes. Bill is the one who installed the garage door opener. Bill did an excellent job. After installation also when there is a noise in the door (not the opener), He fixed that , even he checked other garage door opener (that I installed), and gave me some useful tips. I Highly recommended Bill, does excellent work. Very pleased. Builder installed cheap garage doors, so in future I will use Bill to install new insulated garage doors

I had originally purchased a $99 garage door roller replacement but upon inspection of the old wooden door we realized it was dry rotted and would be better just to replace it with a new door.I decided on a new steel insulated door.Leland arrived at approx 12:30 pm and got to work on the new door.He removed the old door and all the plates,springs,bolts etc.He than installed the new steel insulated garage door.and new springs,rails,and rollers.He did a good job and even took all the old parts with him on his truck. I would definately recommend this company and will use again when needed.He didnt replace the garage door opener cause it was only 7 yrs old

They have many local locations. It's an established company. I had an emergency situation in the winter and they were able to get somebody over in a couple of hours. They were fast to get here and to get the job done. When the door broke, it split some of the metal, and he fixed that at no extra charge. They did a great job
