Challenge: A medical supply manufacturer faced challenges related to inventory and shipping accuracy KPIs.
Solution: GEODIS selected this client as the pilot for the Predictive Analytics Cycle Counting (PACC) program, focused on streamlining the labor impacts of inventory control employees and correcting inventory discrepancies.
Results: Introducing PACC for the client significantly alleviated labor shortages and reduced indirect hours while improving inventory and shipping accuracy KPIs, greatly benefiting warehouse operations and clients. A significant increase in unit-per-hour (UPH) throughput - measuring number of units processed through facilities over an hour’s time - also indicated more efficient work processes. With the greater efficiencies of PACC, staff spend less time on indirect inventory counting and more time on direct, revenue-generating functions, resulting in higher earning opportunities and enhanced staff engagement.
