"Very good workmanship. Customer service was excellent. Job was done as stated & within time on contract. Price was a little high for amount of time and supplies used but worth the money & piece of mind. Will definitely use them again."

"Workmen were late showing up, but I was contacted to let me know this would be the case. Once at my home, it was clear they wanted to do a very good job and to satisfy the customer. The job was tiling a kitchen backsplash using a tumbled porcelain tile. The end result is beautiful and very well done. The two gentlemen who did the work made sure to protect the brand new countertops as they worked, and they were very thorough in cleaning up afterward. Highly recommended."

"On a scale from 1-10 with 10 being the highest possible score. I would rate the work as being an 8 maybe. The kitchen looks very nice. I like the layout and the extra cabinet and counter space. Windows let in natural sunlight, but they don't provide a lot of privacy. While you can add shade screens and curtains to your windows, there's still the need to open them to let in the light. Glass blocks, however, give you a beautiful window that has both transparency and privacy.

Glass block window installation is a perfect fit for rooms where you want a lot of light without people being able to look in. Many homes incorporate glass blocks in bathrooms and basements, enclosed patio walls, and even shower walls. In fact, glass block is ideal for basements where you want weather-tight and maintenance-free windows that let the sun in but keep burglars out.

When hiring a contractor, be sure to ask about options. Some glass block isn't actually glass, but rather acrylic, which can be a better material depending on where the block is being installed. There are also preassembled glass block panels that come vented or non-vented and may be a better choice for awning windows.

Local installers can be onsite quickly and recommend the best materials for the project. You can also save on transportation and material costs when you hire a local service. Type in your zip code and HomeAdvisor will find glass block companies near you.
