Recent Review: i had met with five companies total for our porch and siding. Some estimates were one or two lines of explanation for a $15000 job. The Siding Group gave a very detailed, complete bid which covered everything they would be doing. Mr. Borowski spent a lot of time going over the product choices, the details of the installation. We then decided to go with them for the porch, and the process for that bid was just as complete. The crew showed up early, prepared for the day and then started at 8 every day. They worked quickly and efficiently. The owner of the Siding Group stopped by frequently to make sure everything went smoothly. The crew cleaned up daily. The porch and siding are beautiful.

Recent Review: The whole project took 2 days. I had water damage in the bedroom, several severe cracks from settling, and a deck that needed to be power washed and sealed. The owner came and gave me an estimate. He discussed some repairs that I had done myself and explained that I had missed a step and the repairs might not last. After checking his recommendations, I decided he was correct. We scheduled a date for the jobs. He and his employee showed up on time and did great work. I wasn't sure if it needed further attention, but the owner wanted to come back. He also threw in a few very small extra jobs while he was here--gratis. The only thing I would suggest I that they clean up a little better and put all the furniture back. I will definitely call Accurate when it is time to paint.

Recent Review: This was a positive, customer service oriented experience from start to finish. Jim Scanlon, the owner provided the estimate. He spent much time with us to be sure he understood our expectations. We were clear about what we needed/wanted up front and he gave us a detailed estimate and fair price for the job. We have used MANY other professional painters before and Lookswell Painting is the company we will use in the future. Because my husband was having major back surgery, Jim worked with his schedule to get his crew out to get our job done before the surgery. The crew was terrific (primarily Mario and Edmundo); hard-working, polite guys who did a great painting job and thoroughly protected our property and cleaned up the area when they were done. We were very concerned about our brand new windows and Jim and the crew reassured us that they would do everything in their power to protect them....and they did! There are lots of little things that Lookswell does right that mean so much to a customer. Jim has his own carpenters which means that we were able to get a complete estimate and also means that Jim has control over how the work is done to avoid waiting for another company to get the carpentry work done. And, the carpentry was done to our satisfaction and we are particular. Jim also doesn't nickel and dime a homeowner. We suspect there were a few extra things Jim had the crew do for us but he didn’t add on any extra charges at the end of the job. He brought on extra guys on the last day to finish the job so that it wouldn’t go over to another work day. He willingly made arrangements to have the items on our punch list completed. They weren’t the cheapest of our estimates but having used some of the other companies before that we got estimates from, we know Lookswell was the best. And they provide a two year guarantee from the completion of the job.

Recent Review: All I can say is that Steadfast had to deal with 1. an old house that had not been painted in 33 years with three types of surfaces. because of the age OSHA assumes there is lead paint - this meant abatement (think haz-mat suits). 2. a two story house (one of the tallest in the area) and one side that has with porch, a pine tree and bushes. They dealt with these obstacles with the utmost professionalism and did a beautiful job (many compliments) But what I did not expect was Randy (I hope I remembered the right name) came and power washed the house and deck and he noted that the deck had a loose railing and missing spindles. He then said that they would fix the railing and spindles (I had extra) and there would be no extra charge!! End result - house and deck are beautiful and I would recommend them to anyone.

Recent Review: Had the whole house painted. Original was white but I wanted color. I was scared but I needed to be bold. A lot of wood rot. Marco and his team came promptly, earlier than scheduled, and were very professional. I work long hours so I they were really left to themselves the first 2-3 days. I would just come home at 6 or 7, check any work done that day, if I had a question I would text and he responded right away. Marco also did a lot of carpentry so I didn't have to hire a second person. On their second to the last day I was home all day. That was when I first met him and his crew, before that I just dealt with his work product. His crew was cheerful, dressed professionally. I had some anxieties about the color. He helped me decide how to proceed. He had some very helpful suggestions regarding color matching and how to paint the details. Because of rain I later called for a touch up. They did it within 2 days. Weather was unpredictable, but because they work fast they beat the rain. Paint dries before it drizzled. I would hire them again.

Recent Review: Sam and his team were fantastic and the patch has held through numerous rain storms without leaking. Would highly recommend Illinois Affordable Roofing for any work needed.

Recent Review: I don't remeber exactly how many masons arrived, but there was like a whole army of them, maybe six or seven. They were prompt and professional; They even brought their own porta potty! They had to remove our downspout in order to access some of the brick, and they did a great job removing and replacng it. After the job was completed, they cleaned everything up perfectly. It took them about a day and a half to do the tuckpointing. Then they returned about a week later to seal the brick. The wall looks beautiful. I cannot see the difference between the wall that was tuckpointed and our neighbor's.

Recent Review: Flawlessly! Matt and his guys were thorough-going professionals. Matt arrived right on schedule to give me an estimate. When we spoke subsequently and agreed on a time for the work to be carried out, he and his crew showed up right on time, did (and finished) the work right on time and did a fabulous job refinishing our deck. I heartily recommend them and look forward to having them back in 2 years when we plan to do another refinish.

Recent Review: I was completely satisfied with Peralta Painting and Remodeling and would highly recommend them. Gil Peralto was very professional, helpful and available. These are qualities that are not always easy to find in companies. Before the work was done, Gil could always be reached by phone and was very attentive to my inquiries and making sure the work was done in a timely manner. Gil's crew always arrived when they were scheduled to come and worked diligently. The men were responsible, very skilled, and incredibly neat. After each day of work, there was absolutely no sign that they had been power washing, sanding, or painting all day. I really appreciated their care and consideration. The work itself is beautiful. They were able to intricately paint railings and spindles two different colors in the front porch. The back porch and stairs were neglected for years and in dire need of power washing and sealing. They did such a wonderful job cleaning, hand sanding, and applying a high quality protective coating. I am very pleased with Peralta Paints and will surely seek them out again.

Recent Review: Better that I could have imagined. They were professional on the phone to schedule and squeezed us in before we had a big party at our house. They showed up in time for estimates and the work. They left everything very clean outside. Our fences look like new. They were so good that two of our neighbors hired them to do their wrought iron fences! There's no better recommendation or review than that!!

Recent Review: We recently renovated our home, expanding some rooms on both front and back of the house, but the general contractor does not do painting. We had not used a painter in years, so began our search from scratch. I received bids from 6 painters (some referred to us and others, including North Shore, just painters we found via Angie's List). North Shore was not the lowest bid, but was well below the highest bidders (less than half the price of the highest two -- JAR Corp and Castino) and only a bit above the lowest bidder, who was a 1-man crew with no references and not particularly detailed in his quote. Jiri from North Shore was extremely prompt in showing up for his walk-thru, asked lots of detailed questions about what we wanted done and how/whether he could work at the same time as the renovators, and made lots of suggestions about how to get the job done well. He was friendly, clean and extremely knowledgeable. His crew -- Jesus, Miguel and occasionally a third crew member whose name is slipping my mind -- showed up on time every day from start to end of the job. They understood that there would be days they could not work due to the construction, and were extremely flexible in terms of scheduling and working around the renovation. And they also were friendly, clean and extremely careful, detailed and professional in their work. In addition, Jiri was able to provide some carpentry work to correct some problems with doors and to remove some woodwork from a playroom that we no longer wanted. In brief, the price was right and fair. The workers were top-notch. And the job was completed at a very high level with quality paints, attention to details, on time and without any problems along the way. We will use North Shore again for painting in the future without a second thought.

Recent Review: The crew that came out did a fantastic job. They took 6 days straight, worked long days every day. We haven't found a single example of paint getting into the wrong area or not working the paint right up to the edges as needed. They went above and beyond on repairing lattice work to make it look and function much, much better. They were very trustworthy, nice people and did not make any messes inside the house. The crew foreman spoke good English. Whenever there was any confusion about exactly what our agreement was, they went with my memory of what we had agreed to rather than their memory of it, in other words they bent over backwards to please. I had had another painter cover some of the same territory just a couple of years earlier, and the difference in the final appearance between the two jobs was notable, I think partly because Ronbo's uses high quality paint. Ronbo's is not the cheapest. I got one quote that was basically half Ronbos. But there are four reasons I I was happy to pay more. First, they did a much better job than other painters I've used. Second, they went above and beyond on some areas and went with my opinion whenever we weren't sure what we had agreed. Third, while I have nothing against any worker, I like it when at least one of them can speak good English so I know that we are communicating clearly. Fourth, these guys worked hard all day, every day for 6 days and I believe they deserve a good reward for their efforts.

Recent Review: Excellent. I had indoor painting done by them last year and they went above And beyond what I expected and that’s why I hired them for this outside work. They do an excellent job of prepping, cleaning, and use two coats of paint. They are also very good about cleaning up everything when they are done with the work.

Recent Review: Signature did a great job with our house. They painted the whole house, stucco and trim, the garage, and brought our Ipe wood deck back to life. I was really happy with the responsiveness from Petr when I had any questions and the guys working on the house were thorough and careful in their work. Our house looks like new! Our deck needed some serious work and Petr explained how we could renew and it' looks better now than when we moved in 10 years ago. I will definitely use Signature again!

Recent Review: We were suspect of a water leak that seemed to be coming down from one of our chimneys. Based on other reviews, I contacted Superior to receive an assessment of the work needed to be performed. Rich came out to take a look, and wow, he and his partner (Luke) were extremely thorough. They detailed the better points of the existing structure, but also described where either age or design had the potential to have things deteriorate. While it’s too cold right now to have them do the work, which I thought was very reasonably priced, I’ll be getting back on their schedule in the Spring when the work will most ideally be completed.

Recent Review: This is the second consecutive time Smart House Solutions have completed maintenance for the building ( 6-unit building). They did a great job the first time and we had them return for maintenance work. They painted the deck, and the work was well done. They paid attention to detail and ensured all corners and crevices of the deck was treated.

Recent Review: They blasted the deck to clean it then refinished it.They were backed up and weren't able to do the work for about 6 weeks, but kept me in the know about when they would schedule the work. The deck looks terrific and the sealant they used makes the wood look new. Plus the price was very fair.
