The roof is still leaking in one area of my home. The company stated that the leak had nothing to their installation of the new roof. The whole point of getting a new roof was to stop the leaking. They will not come out to fix the issue.

STUART NYBERG WAS VERY HONEST IN ASSESSING THE CONDITION OF OUR ROOF. HE QUOTED WHAT WAS REQUESTED; REPAIRS VS. NEW ROOF AND DID NOT TRY TO UP-SELL US ON ANYTHING. ALTHOUGH HE THOUGHT WE HAD A COUPLE YEARS LEFT ON THE PITCHED PART OF OUR ROOF, WE WENT WITH THE COMPLETE NEW ROOF. They took the job even though they don't know how to do flat roofs, and never at any point started that they don't know how to do flat roofs until after I called to complain about water leaking in my closet. The contract states tear off old roof and install new shingles. He did not honor the contract. He didn't reroof the entire roof, and only reshingled the flat roof. The contract and request was for a new roof over the entire house. Of the Leake he asked why it just now started leaking, and suggested maybe a branch fell on it. It did not seem he ever intended to honor the warranty. His first response was "I didn't do the back" when I called about the leak and told him the location. I requested a partial refund, and he started that he would wait till he's served -- boasting that a lawsuit will take a year.

We ultimately did not hire Peterson, but I would strongly consider them for future work. We called several companies for estimates to repair or replace a flat roof on an addition to our home. Peterson was the first company to respond, the first company to come out to the house, and the first to provide an estimate. I was impressed that they provided 3 estimates: 1) to simply repair a damaged/leaking area, 2) to put a new roof over the existing roof, and 3) to tear off and replace the existing roof. They were very responsive, and communicated clearly and quickly by phone and email.

Salesman was very pleasant and charming. Roofing crew did very mediocre job resulting in additional leaks both during construction and in the three years since the new roof was put on. After two years, the company did make some repairs to the original job but I had more leaks this winter which resulted in my need to hire another company to finish the roof and gutter correctly.

Purchased Big Deal coupon. There were two representatives who were pleasant, professional and very knowledgeable. First they inspected the roof, and made minor repairs. They informed me that part of the reason for the leaks is that the roof was vey old and needed to be replaced. I asked them to send me an estimate for a new roof, which I received promptly. I felt the estimated price was out of my range.

Andy and his team did exactly as they promised per their formal quote. The work was scheduled relatively quickly and they were in and out in 2 days. The work area was spotless -- you would never have known we had work done on the roof. In addition, the provided some free advice on the merits of installing heating cables on roof above the flat roof to further reduce the risk of water entering our mud room due to ice damming. We took their advice and are placed with overall results. So far, no water has made its way into our mud room.

Reid Roofing offers a high level of experience, professionalism and customer service without overdoing the marketing end of things, or trying to sell you on extras. Their bid was very competitive and included a gutter replacement (this was an extra on all the other bids I received). They managed to schedule my job earlier than expected. The crew was punctual and did a good job cleaning up when they were done. The job was managed by Kevin, who did an excellent job on the communication end of things. Lastly, before the job began I had mentioned a problem with water coming in my top unit's front windows, not knowing for sure if this was a result of the old roof or something else. After the new roof was put on, the issue continued. Kevin came over to have a look, and despite the fact that this was pretty clearly a separate issue with the masonry and limestone, not the roof, he sent his tuckpointing guy over to seal things up at no extra cost. In his words: if you just paid for a new roof, we don't want you to have any leaking. That was truly going above and beyond, and was much appreciated.

Recent Review: 1 day in and out . Sebastian is probably the nicest most honest and knowledgeable contractor I have ever dealt with . He came to do the roof and the night before we had a wind storm that tore half of my facia off the peak ,he made new facia and installed no charge . He also fixed a problem with my front entrance so the storm door would only open part way by cutting the first rafter short from the garage and repairing . If any one lives in Pebble Creek subdivision you probably know what I'm talking about . I strongly recommend Signature roofing and const. for a job done right.

They were not the cheapest, nor the most expensive, but we felt that they understood the problem and had the right plan to fix our issues. Recent Review: Job appears to have gone well. The work was performed on a weekend because of their heavy schedule. The crew acted professionally and cleaned up after themselves. They did have trouble parking their truck because the site is located on a private street street with very little parking available. They drove up on the parkway which a neighbor complained about but no significant damage was done. We were unable to do much of a price comparison on their bid because ALL the other Angie's List contractors we called were booked up for the rest of the season.. This left us uneasy about the price, which seemed high based on our previous experiences but we went with them because they were available and we were having significant leaks at the time.

Recent Review: Sam came out on a Friday to give me a quote for a flat roof repair and was able to schedule me for Monday afternoon. He explained exactly what was wrong with my roof and what he needed to do to repair it. Sent frequent pictures of the progress when work was underway. Unfortunately after removing the old roofing material they found an additional problems that needed to be repaired, but they had the knowledge and expertise to fix them.

Recent Review: All jobs were completed with a large crew which for us meant in a timely manner. Once started, the job was completed with no interruptions. The weather was extremely hot but the crew worked long hours and seemed like a happy bunch. The house was a fixer-upper and the roof and facia and gutters gave it an excellent "street appeal". The workmanship was very good. Chris chose the roof color which I appreciated because I had no idea what color would make an all white house look good. The blue-gray was just right. After I saw the work on one house, I had Chris do the windows on a second house and will have him do the siding and roof on the second house in the spring. All-Star Installations gives great value in price, materials, and workmanship. And Chris was a pleasure to work with.

Recent Review: After an August microburst, hail damaged the four-year old roof to the extent the insurance company said it needed replacing. We got estimates from three roofing companies(found on Angie's List)and decided to go with Smart Roofing because of the price and we liked the guy from Smart who did the estimate. By the time the insurance check came, the temperature had dropped and the work had to be postponed to the following Spring. Smart honored the price quoted in the estimate given in the previous Autumn. When the work was completed, the roof looked great and a neighbor in the "trades" who had watched the roofing work commented on the quality of the workmanship.

The company rep (Denny) explained our options, patiently answered all of our questions and provided a detailed estimate which was almost $2,000 less than the next lowest quote. The crew arrived on time and was professional. The job took one and a half days to complete because they had to remove the existing roof and install the flat roof. At its conclusion, they removed all debris and left the site perfectly clean. They installed Owens Corning TruDefinition shingles on the pitched roof, removing and replacing aluminum siding and chimney flashing where required, and applied modified bitumen to the flat roof.

Recent Review: Phoenix Exteriors was a godsend. They donated their time and money to help us. We are a small nonprofit called the HALT Club in Yorkville that provides a meeting place for twelve step recovery meetings like AA, NA, CA, and DRA. Our roof had been damaged last year in a storm. Our insurance company only paid a small amount for a temporary fix, which we did. But we could not afford to have the proper permanent repairs done. The first company came to patch it up but 5 months later the roof started leaking again and the water damaged the 2 story ceiling which we had to rip out. We weren’t sure what to do or how we were going to pay to fix it. Steve and his team at Phoenix Exteriors heard of our predicament and offered to help. Recent Review: Everything went very smoothly overall. Richard was very easy to talk to and deal with. He provided a proposal within a day or two of my original call and the work was started within a couple weeks of my acceptance of the proposal and completed in two days. Proposal included unit pricing for sheathing replacement, which ended up needing to be done. Also included a dumpster which seemed a little much considering the small size of the garage. Samples of shingles and overall selection could have been better; color of finished roof was a little different than I was expecting, but I wasn't dissatisfied. Clean-up was very thorough.
