Pat Glennon does excellent work. First, he provided a free estimate after evaluating the repair work. Then he added layers of new plaster for two of our ceilings. He is very professional, arriving on time with all necessary materials. In fact, when he repairs ceilings and walls, you can't tell that they were ever damaged. Finally, Patrick sands the ceilings so that they are smooth and ready for painting. He is pleasant to work with. I highly recommend Chicagoland Plastering.

Description of Work
I have an old home with plaster ceilings and in the family room we had water leaks from the bathroom above. The plumber cut 7 large holes in the ceiling and I wanted the repair to be in plaster not drywall. I called Chicagoland Plastering and they came out the next day to give an estimate. They arrived early, something unheard of in the service industry. We hired him on the spot and they came out 3 days later to do the work.

Pat did a great job for us plastering spots in the ceiling of our utility room. Unlike other providers on angie's list that we contacted, Pat was willing to make a trip to our house and give us a free estimate which was very reasonable. We would certainly utilize his services for any future needs.

Pat did a fantastic, masterful job matching the stucco, which seems was different in each area. He's talented, easy to deal with, and conscientious. I can highly recommend him for any stucco job, but I would also hire him for any plastering job, too.

Great! Pat was great to work with and is a pro at what he does. Not too many people know how to work with plaster and living in an old home with plaster walls and crown mouldings it was very important to me to have someone do it right. Pat was responsive, timely, and hard working. He was very careful to make sure that I had everything addressed that we had discussed and that I was happy with the work (which I was). I would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs plaster repiar done right and professionally.

We have a 1920s house that needed some repairs inside and outside, that only those with knowledge of old buildings can fix. Pat did the job himself and the repair is impeccable. He was always on time, responsive to our calls, and detail oriented. He fixed some small cracks outside at no extra charge. We are very pleased with the work and his work's ethics.

It went great and I will use him again for all of my plaster jobs.
Description of Work
The plaster under my window in the bedroom fell off when they installed new windows. He had to replaster that and my bedroom wall was very in even due to people painting over the rough ness he smoothed it out like silk and did not even use a sander, he is that good.

What stands out about Pat is his communication and responsiveness. I never had to reach out to Pat for an update. He proactively kept me informed about timelines and project expectations. It's very refreshing to work with someone who sets clear expectations and follows through accordingly.

The actual stucco work was ok but he left a complete mess. Window sills covered in stucco, water meter encased in plaster. Driveway splattered. AC unit was not covered & thus totally splattered inside and out. Nothing was done to protect plants, deck, fence etc. Broke a garden light and plaque and never said a word. Dumped bucket down village manhole which is so illegal. It took 2 hours to clean AC and another 1.5 to get plaster off manhole. Still have to deal with driveway, deck and fence and hopefully salvage some of my plants. We found hardened plaster and other damage in areas where work was not being done. I did call him and was reimbursed for the light. He made an offer to come and see what he could do to clean up. But I could not trust what he would do. We hired him based on what his ratings were and that he said he worked cleanly and would use coverings. None of that happened

hyperbole, in saying that my #1 labor-clean up guy was in hospital so brought in a sub,i offered to go out first thing in the morning to correct any wrongs but was declined, I should have been offered a chance as I pride myself on leaving the place spotless, you cant win them all.pat

It went excellently! Pat and his team have been repairing and painting stucco since he was 12 years old! I am not sure how old he is now but he knows what he is doing! Withe the power washing, he kindly washed the non-stucco part of the house also at no extra charge. He completed the job very quickly. He cleaned up beautifully and I have already had 3 people ask me about buying the house even though the inside is not ready yet! The outside looks beautiful!

Overall, it was a great experience! I've recommended him to other people. The gentleman was very knowledgeable, and I've found it to be increasingly difficult to find providers who know their plastering anymore. I like that he gave me options in terms of how to to do the job. He had a pleasant personality, and was great at communication. I would use this provider again.

Pat did a great job, and is worthy of all of the praise given in the other reviews. He was able to repair and match the stucco pattern pretty much perfectly. His price was extremely fair and I believe reflected his expertise in terms of what work was required. (Another contractor wanted to pull down most of the stucco and start over at 4x the price, whereas Pat was able to show me how the repairs would return the stucco back to solid condition.) In short, I think Pat is a treasure and I will definitely work with him again.

Pat came out to take look at the job. I mentioned I was also thinking about drywalling the ceiling. He concurred and said that would be the better approach. Very honest. If I have a future plastering job, Pat will be my first call.

In preparation for selling my house, and with an inspection looming in a few days, Pat agreed to come do the needed repairs on very short notice. He also gave me a price on more extensive work which we decided not to do (at least just yet)-- patching some uneven texture on the house and recoating the entire garage and house-- but I felt the price was fair. It was definitely lower than the other bids I received, but in any case I had decided to hire Pat because I liked him immediately and felt comfortable with him, and the price seemed good. The other bids did not arrive until after the work was done-- Pat was that fast, and the other companies that slow. My only disappointment is that the new stucco does not really match the old, but Pat told me up front that it probably wouldn't, and that it would be necessary to recoat the entire garage if I wanted it to look like new, but I was hoping just the same. I am very happy with the job-- the texture is a perfect match and the new stucco is flush with the old. I really appreciate that Pat was able to schedule me in so fast, and the cracked wall is solid again. Thank you, Pat!

We are always skeptical when using new tradesmen, however, the quality of workmanship, communication and price was bang on. Estimate to the completion of job was only 5 days! Patrick worked extremely hard, cleaned up as he went along and took pride in his work; this reflected in the finished job. It's gorgeous! If you want any plastering done use Patrick. (Cats seem to really like him too!)

Patrick was prompt in contacting me to set up a time for an estimate. He was on time for the set day and time. He was on time for the day and time the work was to be done. His estimate was great, lower than I expected. Job went exactly as he said it would. No extra charges on the back end. Patrick is very knowledgeable and a master of his craft.
