Recent Dog Fencing Reviews in Memphis
- Pet Stop of ColumbusPet Stop did an excellent job. They are definitely animal lovers and know how to train and respond to all different types of dog personalities. They also know the different traits (positives and negatives of training) different breeds. Aaron was so polite when fencing our yard. He also has accepted phone calls and came out again to help me with my dog. I highly recommend the company. They are local pet lovers and owners and fantastic at what they do
- INVISIBLE FENCE OF MEMPHISFirst they sent someone to come speak to me about pricing and differenct options. Once I decided to do it they got me scheduled and sent out a technician. He installed the wiring and sent out a trainer. The trainer gave me the collars and showed me how to help my dogs understand their new boundaries. There was a glitch with the system at first and it was creating a wide range around the fence and my dogs were unable to get very close to the fence without getting corrected. When I told the people at Invisible Fence they immediately came out and looked at my fence. They found out the problem and corrected it. Now my dogs are safely contained in the backyard with out me worrying about them getting out and getting hurt or lost. Everyone was professional, nice and easy to talk too at Invisible Fence
- DogWatch of the Mid-SouthGreat experiend. Just watching Jeff and his associate work with the dogs was an education for us. The work was done quickly and professionally, We have only had one "escape" to date, and we followed that up with retraining, using Jeff's explanation and instructions.
- INVISIBLE FENCE OF MEMPHISThey did a really good job and gave me extended batteries. I would recommend them to others. They've been out to help advise me with additional and are very professional and informative.
- DogWatch of the Mid-SouthI had to pay for the parts. He said I could do it myself and that it was really simple. He led me in his house and showed me the parts and showed me how it could be put in. It cost almost nothing to fix. He did a good job and saved me some money. I was really happy with him.
- INVISIBLE FENCE OF MEMPHISAll services rendered exceeded our expectations. We wish we had made the decision sooner to proceed with an underground fence. Excellent product and excellent service!
- INVISIBLE FENCE OF MEMPHISThey came out on Tuesday and gave me a quote. They arranged for the city to mark the "no dig" areas on the lawn, which they did on Thursday. The one man crew was out, on time, on Monday morning and finished the install by 11. Russ came by after that and worked with the small dog for about 20 minutes. It was an easy train as the fence is already there as a barrier. We had such a great experience that we are considering expanding my use of the invisible fence
- DogWatch of the Mid-SouthWe have a Jack Russell Terrier. 'Nuff Said? The fence has contained her for more than a week, and she has not figured out how to escape yet. Jeff and Anthony did an excellent job of "training the trainer" and introducing the dogs to the system.

Fencing FAQ
-
How much does it cost to install a fence?
Answer: The average cost to install a fence is $2,600. A variety of factors will impact the overall cost of fencing installation, such as the length of the fence, the materials you choose, and local labor costs. Fencing projects using the lowest cost materials and with lower labor costs can cost as little as $1 to $6 per linear foot, while projects using the highest cost materials and with higher labor costs may be as high as $15 to $45.
-
Do I need a permit to build a fence around a yard?
Answer: Whether you’ll need a permit to build a fence around your yard will depend on your city or county's local codes. Many metropolitan and suburban areas require a permit to install most fencing, but they may not for fences situated behind a house as opposed to in front of it or fences that don’t run within a certain distance of the road. To find out if you’ll need a permit to fence your yard, reach out directly to your local government office.
-
What is the cheapest fence to install?
Answer: The cheapest fencing to install is chain-link fencing. Chain-link fencing is typically cheaper than other fence types because the materials cost less, and installation is generally quicker and easier than other options. Chain-link fencing is affordable, easy to install, and low maintenance. However, it’s usually considered less secure than other options and doesn’t increase resale value as much as fences made of different materials.
-
Is a wood or vinyl fence cheaper?
Answer: Wood fences are generally cheaper than the cost of vinyl fences. While the cost of materials for wood and vinyl fences is usually very similar, the labor cost associated with installing a vinyl fence is higher. Wood fencing is also easier to install than vinyl fencing, making it possible to save money by making wood fence installation a DIY project. It’s also possible to DIY install a vinyl fence.
-
What is the life expectancy of a vinyl fence?
Answer: Vinyl fencing can be expected to last between 10 and 30 years. Vinyl fencing is generally low maintenance, but proper care will ensure it lasts as long as possible. Its long life span and high return on investment make vinyl fencing a popular option for many homeowners.
-
What type of fence adds to the property value?
Answer: Installing quality fencing, no matter the fence type, will generally add value to your property. In general, fences made of longer-lasting, lower-maintenance, and more attractive materials—like wrought-iron, composite, or vinyl—add more value to a property than fences made of lower-cost or less attractive materials, like chain-link. To ensure your fencing adds as much value to your home as possible, be sure it’s properly permitted, approved by your homeowners association (if you have one), and installed properly.
