  I recently remodeled my house and was sorely disappointed. I was a bit gun shy to try again, but changed my mind after being stuck ay home during the covid lockdown. I decided to find a new contractor, and was lucky enough to find Mark Besnos, the owner of Horizon Construction and Remodeling. Mark was able to make my vision a reality, which was no small task. He worked with my designer, Misti Riedel and I and had the patience of a saint. This time around, it was an enjoyable experience. I wake up every morning and walk out into the main living area with a big smile on my face. Before Mark remodeled, my place was so drab. I truly love my house and thank everyone for helping me

  This my experience with Horizon Construction and Remodeling, and why I recommend them. This is the second time that I have hired a contractor. The first time was a bathroom remodel, and it was a disaster, so I was very apprehensive about hiring another contractor. We needed to remodel our kitchen, so I had no choice. I did my due diligence and research and called three companies to interview. All three I had no prior knowledge of or experience with. Out of the three bids, there was a high, a medium, and a low. After talking to them one more time I went with the medium bid company. That company is called Horizon Construction and Remodeling. It turns out I made the right choice. My experience with this company is the complete opposite from my first experience with a contractor. My Project Manager was Mark, who did an outstanding job of keeping the project moving quickly efficiently. His crews showed up on time, were professional and did quality work, from plumbing to electrical to framing to painting to cabinets all were done to my satisfaction. If something was not done to my satisfaction (which was rare), I just let Mark know about it and he would send someone to either redo or touch-up the work. Mark would visit the job site frequently. I feel Mark is honest and has his customer’s best interest at heart. There were a couple of times when he could have charged me extra money for items that came up during the project, but he did not. Like any project we had to make some changes along the way, and Mark is very willing to work with you to make sure that you get what you want. Mark will listen to your ideas plus he has many ideas himself. He helped us a lot with our kitchen design. They started my project Oct. 11, 2001. My wife and I were hoping to have the project done by Christmas. They had it done in 7 weeks in time for Thanksgiving! The inside staff is led be Enna. They make sure everything is ordered on time. They even arrange for inspections. They are very polite and efficient and responsive. We are doing our doors and windows next and we going to have Horizon Construction and Design do the work.   Horizon construction & Remodeling remodeled/updated both my master and the main bathrooms, which were in their original mid-60s construction state. David Eskin and his team of tradesmen helped bring my vision to fruition. As with any project, once the walls were opened up, some revisions were required; based upon their expertise and experience, Horizon was able to provide a few suggestions and a few “tweaks” to address these revisions. I couldn’t be happier with the results! Both bathrooms are much more functional and beautiful! Horizon also did some minor improvements in my laundry area – again improving the functionality and looks! Note: Remodeling costs did not cover much of the material costs. I had already selected and/or purchased some of the building materials; I did research and purchase much of the remaining materials (tub, vanities, tiles). Horizon does have its own showroom, and could have provided these at an additional cost. However, because I already had a firm idea as to what I wanted, I handled the ordering of these myself

  We just completed our remodel with Moriah Remodeling & Construction and are walking away happy customers and deeply conscious of the heart they put into our home and project. For context, this was a mid-sized remodel of 2 bathrooms, 1 bar, 2 fireplaces, 1 mudroom and recessed lighting throughout the house. This is also our forever home, so quality of work was of utmost importance. This project spanned over 5-6 months. Timing was really driven by us and delays in materials due to the pandemic or changing our minds. There were no delays on FVR’s side. I had the joy of working with Eran, our Project Manager, Guliano. When they say customer service and communication are at the center of their values and goals as a company, I do agree. In terms of customer service, this was always at the center of the project. If it mattered enough to me, Eran and team would make things happen no matter how small or large. Of course, with all projects with numerous parties, there are competing incentives, but I always felt like we settled at a fair compromise and making me happy was the most essential goal of them all. This means a lot to me because over the course of the project we discussed things from them helping me with a surprise water leak from a faulty gutter (not their fault) to me literally marking areas where I wanted even the smallest corner re-grouted and they fulfilled their promise. In terms of communication, they are also top-notch. A key reason why I chose Moriah Remodeling & Construction over other companies was my first meeting with Eran. He is a straight shooter and always sticks to his word. This is an art. Eran always set clear and realistic expectation upfront on what would delay us or add costs to the project. If he agreed, he would fix something he would. Eran and his team were also very possible and quick to communicate via chat or phone. I always felt very supported because they always made themselves possible. Remodeling your home is an emotional journey, so this is extremely important. Lastly, I would also say that I walked away feeling like working with a team with “heart.” Eran and the team became people I enjoyed seeing and interacting with regularly. They are very professional and know that their job is not simply to remodel a house, but that their job is to create a home for a family. I don’t know of a more important calling than this. Thank you Eran and team for all you did for our family and we look forward to working with you in the future

  I like the fact that they're pretty clean even though it's kind of a dirty job; they kept the premises pretty clean. They were pretty courteous. They'll come in and out of the house, and give you the access. They performed to the schedule they committed to. I thought the price was reasonable. Quality, and punctuality were excellent. Responsiveness, and professionalism were very good

  The engineer, Mark, called us before arriving to say he would be a bit late, and then showed up exactly at the new time. He took his time and crawled with me under the house and examined the outside, and then provided his opinion of our situation. It turned out that the seepage would not develop into an issue, and he provided useful information on how to properly excavate around the foundation for a basement. He indicated that while they could do the work, his firm would be more expensive for a small job like this than just hiring a regular contractor. I appreciated his honesty across the board. In the end, he made a referral suggestion and left without obtaining any work. He was very nice and knowledgeable, and I would definitely use the firm if the need arose. It was wonderful to find someone who was honest and didn't pressure us for the job
