"Ryan and Juan from Sylvester Electric came over to replace kitchen lighting. I wasn’t sure if the light fixture would fit and they were both so nice and helpful with my questions and concerns. They gave me pricing up front and they were very respectful about cleaning up after and making sure I was happy with the job once they completed the work. I would definitely recommend them and I plan on scheduling them for other electrical work in our home.

"Dom came out on New Year’s Day to help us when the outlets in one room stopped working. We did the usual breaker resets and nothing changed. Dom came out and not only fixed our issue, discovered some issues in our breaker box that correlated to some lingering issues we’ve been having in other rooms. Friendly, fast and super helpful. We’ve got a few other electrical projects and mysteries we’ve got. So happy to work with him.

"I had an old light fixture removed that did not have a backbox & cover plate to house the wires correctly and a bedroom ceiling fan that mysteriously stopped working. I read a number of Angie's list reviews and felt that VMA Electric seemed like straight shooters, fully transparent and would be able to solve my issues efficiently. (I knew this job would be T&M rather than pre-quoted as it's impossible to say how long something like this would take). But Nancy in the office was wonderful to work with scheduling the work and she gave me the hourly rates ahead of time so I knew what I was going into. I was fortunate with my timing as they just had a cancellation - so they were onsite the very next morning. They solved both of my issues efficiently, cleaned up after themselves and made the whole process extremely wonderful. If you're reading this saying "I just need an electrician or two to come by and fix a couple of lingering items that I've had on my checklist for awhile" - you've found your company. The invoice/bill for the work was emailed to me the following day and it was exactly in line with expectations (a lot of reviewers are cautious about seeing an invoice after the fact). The pricing was exactly in line with the rates previously given and it was itemized with materials, etc. Anybody would be very happy with this group.

"Could not be happier with Joe, Rob, and Jose. Start to finish, this was the one of the best contractor experiences I've ever had. Joe was responsive and clear in discussing the work plan, quick to provide a proposal and schedule the work. Rob and Jose were on time, neat, and professional. They worked with me to clearly describe options when unexpected challenges arose in fishing new wires, and asked for my input whenever decisions needed to be made. The final result is even better than I expected. To top it off, my boiler had an electrical failure after Rob had left (which was unrelated to the work they had completed), and Rob drove back to my house, diagnosed the issue, and repaired it so I wouldn't be without heat for the night. Above and beyond.
