All Fence Company did a great job refurbushing what I had and replacing what I needed. They also did a nice work on a retaining wall I needed .

We've used All Fence in the past at one of our previous homes and they did a great job there so we were confident about using them again. However, we did call around to try to get similar quotes since the quote for this one was quite high (around $20K initially). All Fence was the only company who did the combination of wrought iron with other types of fence. With other companies, we would have had to hire two different companies. We're not sure if the price would have been different if we'd priced with two separate companies. They came out promptly to take measurements and get us a quote. When we got the quote back, they worked with us to bring the price down a bit by offering different options. Scheduling was about 2 weeks out. I guess they are in high demand. They installed it over the course of 5 days, even coming in on Saturday to make sure they got it done. We're very pleased with the work they performed. The fences looks great. We would definitely use them again.

We were referred to Dan's Drilling and Fencing Company by another contractor. We called and Dan responded promptly and during the holiday break. He was fast and efficient. He had everything done the same day. Excellent service. I would recommend his business to everyone.

JCB specializes in wrought iron and chain link fencing. Owner provided alternative fencing providers that he recommended. I appreciate the good business practice of providing good customer service by recommending others that can provide the service needed.

Great. Santiago showed up promptly for estimate appointment and gave me a very good quote. Work was scheduled. Crew showed up promptly as promised. Estimated only 2 days for entire job and they were done in 2 days! Very nice, hard working crew. Cleaned everything up nicely. Made sure ahead of time I knew what they were proposing to do and got my approval. Anything I questioned they took care of to my satisfaction. This was the second time I hired Mezas and I would hire them again and I do give their name as a referral.

Took multiple phone calls to get to someone to provide a quote. Then told me it would cost me $80 trip fee to get a quote b/c I'm outside their service area. The trip fee is reasonable, but given that they ultimately gave a free quote when I sent them pictures of the job, it would have been nice had they offered that option rather than me coming up with it. Their quote for the labor was competitive, but their quote for the parts was ~50% higher than what I could get the lockbox & lock for online. So I confirmed the parts I'd need to match the master key system I currently have, signed the contract with them, and then waited for the parts to come in. Parts arrived from them, and for me, faster than expected, and they scheduled me in. However, there was some miscommunication internally on the job, and when they showed up, they had only allotted enough people / time for one gate. They came back a week later to complete the job for the second gate. It turns out the lock that I ordered, even after confirming with them that I had ordered exactly the right part, will not match the master key system - they offered to wait for me to get the right part & come back another time, but needed to get the lock on ASAP given its a high crime area. So I have a key on a second system, making it more difficult to track keys. When they committed to a date for the work, they were on time. The actual workmanship is of excellent quality, the most important thing in my mind. Communication with the individual doing the work, was fine. Their price was competitive for the labor-only part, but: - B on price: for a >50% markup on easily sourced parts ($700 vs. $1150); happy to pay a small premium (~10%) for the convenience of single sourcing the parts, but not that much. - C on responsiveness / communication: for requiring me to make multiple calls at the beginning to get a quote, and for not suggesting the sending-the-picture-to-get-a-free-quote themselves, and for miscommunicating internally on the manpower required for the job, and for miscommunication on the part needed to match the master lock system.

Jack came out to provide a quote and was quick and efficient during his visit. He emailed me the quote a couple days later and was able to provide the most competative pricing as compared to 2 other quotes I received. Scheduling the work itself was very easy. They knew I was hoping to get the work done sooner than we were able to schedule for, so when they had a cancellation they called me up and fit me in earlier which was great. Two gentlemen showed up the day of work on time and ready to go. We hammered out the final details on the placement of the gates and they were off and running. They were able to remove an existing chain link fence and cut back some of the brush/trees that were up against it. They were very careful of their work and the plants still looked great afterwards. We had 50 ft. of new fence put in - the wood was good quality and they dug the posts deep and filled with concrete. We also had two gates put in - one 42 in. and the other 48 in. wide. Both looked great, with arched tops and work well. The crew finished right on time and cleaned up after themselves. Overall, this was a very pleasant experience and I highly recommend Bay Area Fence and Deck!

Gordon's team did a terrific job installing a chain link fence in our backyard. The end result looked great. He listened to what we wanted (a fence to keep coyotes out and our dogs protected while preserving our 270 degree view of the bay area) and provided insightful suggestions. We got exactly the fence we wanted and it looked terrific.

The crew arrived on time and completed the work in one day. Took away all the old fencing and cleaned up the area nicely. Were very efficient and professional. When my other old fence needs replacing, I'll have A-1 do the job.

The owner/estimator, Guy Turner, is very professional. Prompt return call, was flexible with scheduling estimate and the work to be done. I got an estimate the same day as the phone call, and the job was done from start to finish, a day and a half later. He explained everything that was going on, and was available for questions throughout the project. His crew was very nice and very thorough. When they took out the old fence, they stacked it nicely on the side of the driveway, so it would not look ''dumpy'', until they hauled it away. On top of that they also pulled the weeds and cleaned up the yard area not even associated with the fence. Beautiful job, the fence was well built and strong. I will definitely work with this company again. You get more than what you pay for.

The workers showed up promptly at 8 am and were finished by noon. As before, they were efficient and pleasant. The man who seemed to be in charge was fluent in English, although the other workers may not have been. They tore out the old chain link and were reasonably careful not to harm the plants we pointed out as being important to us. I will be calling them again when I want to have an estimate on an arbor, since they do arbors and decks as well as fencing. I do recommend this company.

Great communication and quote process, people in the office were wonderful, price was really good and came recommended by a neighbor. They built everything quickly and I had a choice of grades of redwood to choose from to control cost. Easy to work with and excellent workmanship. We had used Sierra before and were disappointed despite good reviews. The next time we need to replace a fence or repair it we will call Mezas for sure.

I was pleased with the work they did. It went very well and it really makes my property look a lot better. The workers were very nice and did respect our privacy during the installation. They did drive on my yard and make a couple tracks, but I guess they had to get the supplies back there somehow. The price was good. I did call around for pricing and I thought they were the best for the quality.

I emailed online and got response back over the weekend that Mike would call me Monday after 11:00 a.m. I clearly stated that I wanted chain link neighbor fence, and iron fence and gates on the front of my property. I couldn't wait around for his call, so I called the number listed. The lady that answered the call eventually told me that they don't do iron fence or chain link. I asked if they could do a gazebo like structure, and she said that they would only bid on a permitted set of plans. I told her I didn't need a permit because it was under 110 sf. She argued with me that it was 74 sf or something like that. I had to bang in her head that I wasn't in the City of San Jose. She quoted me over $3K for a new gazebo, but I told her that I just needed a roof on an exisitng. Anyway, it appears they have too much work for me anyway. I think I might have given them another shot for the gazebo work if the miscommunication didn't happen because I was planning on waiting until summer anyway for this project because it involved a bad gutter interface I needed to have corrected.

I would highly recommend Sadler Fence and Staining. We needed an old fence replaced in our backyard and received at least 6 quotes for the fencing job. One neighbor has new chain link and the other has new vinyl. Our old wooden back wall and side gate needed to be replaced. Mr. Sadler came out, asked me what I was looking for, gave me quotes for my different options and never made me feel pressured. He was honest and let me know his start date wouldn't be right away; any new jobs would be about a month and a half out (he actually called and was ready to start the job almost two weeks sooner!). The fence looks great and his customer service is amazing. He was there to answer any questions I had along the way. The fence went up as planned and they hauled away the old fence. I couldn't be happier with our choice to go with Sadler Fence and Stain. Great job and no nonsense! I would absolutely go with this company again.

We discovered dry rot while having a hardwood floor installed, and I found Kozubek by reading favorable comments about him on Yelp. He used camera probes to determine the extent of the problem, provided detailed estimates, used heavy equipment without any dust or mess, did exquisite sheetrock and baseboard, and rewired all electricity in the rear wall of the house. He basically jacked up the back wall of the house and replaced all the supporting joists and walls. He was always informative, 100% prompt, meticulous, and dealt with problems that were uncovered without adding extra expenses or bills. As he was working on the big job, I mentioned a tree stump in the garden that I needed removed and Lech used his chain saw and took care of this without charging me anything (he said it was a bonus). He also cut and installed a section of 20 feet of fencing on my property line that had been removed to accommodate a neighbor's construction. Throughout, he was careful, competent, and his work is perfect. I have dealt with a number of contractors over the years, and Lech Kozubek is the most knowledgable and skillful I have met.

I interviewed 5 contractors. The independent ones and some of the contractors either didn't show or call or didn't follow through with the bid or were thousands of dollars higher in their estimate. I thought people wanted work! Flakes! I decided on Kenwood because that's what they do and were reasonably priced. Jack Goodin came out twice to go over what I wanted...then worked up the estimate. He followed through with appointments and if he couldn't call back...the secretary did! Or they e-mailed. Good communication! Follow through was huge to me because if they don't call back...how do you know they'll show up.? I'm a single female and I don't have anyone to take over if the job isn't done. I put it on the calendar and took the time off from work to be there if they had any questions...which at times they did. They got right to work...worked all day except when it rained one. Jose, who was in charge of the job, was a total professional and knows exactly what he's doing. At the end of the job, I decided I didn't want the pickets I had picked out. No problem. I decided on another design and they worked with me....and without my even asking...Jack said it was cheaper and credited me $400 off my invoice! My neighbors are so amazed at the difference. I'm getting so many compliments over the fence. I didn't scrimp on price or design...but I didn't get robbed or ignored either! Nothing worse than a job started and not completed. Mine was done in 5 days. Exactly as I had expected. It's beautiful and will last for years. You get what you pay for...I got more!
