Working with Beaty Home Improvements was an excellent experience for us. Everyone is so busy these days. I called three possible handyman companies, and Josh from Beaty was the only one that even called me back. Josh was super responsive and kindly found a place to work us into their schedule. A recent storm had knocked one of our 2nd story shutters down and we had a floodlight bulb that was high up that had burned out. I don't have a ladder to reach those areas, so I elected to try and find someone to take care of those items for us. To make the most of their time coming out, I also decided to go ahead and have them remove our old kitchen sink and install a new one for us while they were here. During the project I elected to go ahead and have a new disposal installed as well. Josh scheduled Kris for the work, and Kris arrived a few minutes early for the job. Kris quickly and creatively worked to resolve any little challenges encountered during the job, and he worked diligently to complete the tasks in a timely manner. He was a pleasure to chat with while he was here, and I am very pleased with the quality of his work and the care he put into it. I wouldn't hesitate to call Josh/Beaty Home Improvements if I need additional handyman work completed in the future

I cant' say enough good things about JP Frisch.It went great. I've been looking for someone to fix all of our house problems for years and I found it. John is very responsive to my calls and emails. Jon assigned Ben to work at the house. Ben was terrific - he works very hard and does not waste time. In fact, if you hire Jon/Ben for half-day or fully day, make sure you have enough projects because Ben will roll through them faster then you think. He is that good. David Handyman
This is not the first time that David has provided handyman services. This last visit involved replacing shutters on my two story house. When he pulled the top shutters off he discovered structural damage. David immediately knew how to correct the problem, and then continued with the installation. Like in the past, he was prompt, listened to our requests, and did a great job in a timely fashion

We scheduled Tim a couple weeks in advance. He texted the morning of the appointment to let us know when he'd arrive. It took him the amount of time and he charged what he had estimated. He was able to use the existing holes in the siding even though the shutters were slightly larger. They look great

Mike's Maintenance
Mike arrived on time, was friendly and courteous, and assessed the tasks to be performed. I had four shutters needing to be attached to two exterior windows. Eight had already been attached by a contractor two months earlier, who did not return to complete the job. Mike observed that half of those shutters had been attached upside down. (It was barely noticeable, but I'm still amazed I did not notice earlier, as I am extremely picky!) MIke offered to correct them, which he did amazingly fast and beautifully. As always (in the almost six years I have employed Mike for work inside and outside our home) the quality of Mike's work was outstanding and his rates exceptionally reasonable. He is always honest and realistic in his assessments, which I deeply appreciate. Having said that, at times he has accomplished the near-impossible with some of the challenging repairs in our home! Will continue to hire Mike for years and years

Greg showed up a few minutes before scheduled time. I bought 4 hours of Handyman services through JP Frisch Construction. I was worried about someone showing up that didn't know anything about shutters but Jon reassured me the handyman would know what to do and could do it within the 4 hours. Greg was GREAT! At one point we ran into a problem with the size of the shutters that I ordered and he came up with a solution that worked perfectly. Just know if you're putting new shutters on older windows they may not be the same size as the ones that were originally put on 25 years ago. Don't just measure the old shutters...measure the space between the windows

Representative showed up on time as scheduled and was very professional. He did not have/provide sample window(s) or door(s) to show. After he completed his measurements he told me that within a couple of days we should receive our estimate via email, followed by a copy in the mail. As promised we received all necessary paperwork. Ultimately we did not go with Wilke Window and Door because we were able to find a very comparable window replacement for much less that what Wilke quoted. However if and when the need should arise we would consider another quote from Wilke for any future improvements

Overall the project went well, and we have a beautiful finished basement that we use for combine office / family space. They were very accommodating of changes in scope along the way, all while getting things complete on schedule. They were able to frame in around everything, keeping things as tight as possible to maximize the space, were able to have a plumber on site same day to move some piping when mine fell through, they sub contracted the electrical work. The project was not without bumps / changes, and no project of this size is (i assume). I think some of the problems could have been avoided with better communications and setting of expectations during the project, on both my part and theirs. At the end of the day, the basement looks great and we enjoy every moment down there. I would hire them again for my next project (and plan to)
