  St. Louis Screens in Bridgeton constructed a large (21 x 16 foot) screen room under my existing walk-out basement deck. From start to finish, everything about St. Louis Screens in Bridgeton was excellent. Before this project began, I received bids from many different contractors and liked this one the best. They were able to accommodate my various unusual preferences, such as screening narrower shaped sections around a window and using extra wide pet screen for the entire enclosure to get more screen view, installing a full screen door of my choice, and adding a pet door on a screen section. I also liked the excellent communication they had with me and that they did not smoke. Jim and Chris, the workers that built my screen room, went above and beyond the call of duty constructing my enclosure to my satisfaction. I was very picky about certain details and they accommodated every request. They displayed highly advanced construction skills and are very experienced and educated workers, in addition to being very pleasant, patient, and easy to communicate with. The quality of materials, equipment, and tools used to build my project was top notch. Even the screw heads were covered to color-match the beautiful aluminum framing. Oanh, the staff consultant, was also extremely pleasant, always responding quickly to my many questions and needs and completing the paperwork. Communication with this company is at the top of the charts. Compared to many other construction companies I have used over the years, this one beats them all. Jim and Chris were very precise and attentive to details. I was impressed at how amazing the workers were at splining the thicker pet screen into the frames, resulting in tight screen fits. They completed my screened room during hot, humid, and sometimes rainy weather. I appreciated that they laid boards over the ground to keep everything clean, especially since mud was surrounding my newly poured patio. The workers took no breaks and a very short lunch each day, always working nonstop. It took them only 3 days plus a few hours the final day to complete the whole project, much faster than I anticipated. Jim and Chris went out of their way to answer my many questions before and throughout the project, keeping me informed the whole time of everything going on. I couldn't have asked for better service. I love the end results; my screened room is amazing, far better than I expected. I highly recommend St. Louis Screens for any of your screening needs

  Al rebuilt my porch during the pandemic. All went great. There was a window to be replaced that didn't come in before the work was completed. Al called me when it came in to schedule installation. It was now during the height of the pandemic. I was concerned about keeping an older parent safe so asked Al to wait to install the window. He was very agreeable to what made me comfortable with the situation. I called him a couple months later and scheduled the installation. He came and installed it. I'm very grateful that during a difficult time he respected my views and rearranged his work schedule. Will definitely hire again

  I have a 3 seasons porch that was getting mold on the inside. In addition, the base boards were bulging out. I called Al Birkenmeier and Sons to determine what needed to be done and for a quote. Al recommended we demo the porch and rebuild it due to moisture getting in and causing rot. Once the demo began, I realized how correct he was and was surprised to see how rotted the wood was. The project included the demo and rebuild. In addition, we replaced the outside door, outside light, and on my request replaced the ceiling fan and the inside window that looked out onto the porch. The work was done in a timely and professional manner. The rebuild looks so much better than the original porch. I am so pleased with it. I had no idea who to call for this job and am so happy with my decision to contract with Al. I highly recommend him

  Last year we hired Chesterfield Fence and Deck to install a new fence in our backyard. We were very pleased when the project was completed, and we commend thee professionalism and attention to detail of crew that installed our fence. When we decided to add a ?Four Seasons? sunroom on our existing deck, we began getting bids from four very reputable companies in the St. Louis area. After carefully reviewing the proposals that each of the companies provided, we were convinced that Chesterfield Fence and Deck had a superior product and the most advanced technology on the market compared to their competitors for the price. We contracted to have a ?Four Seasons? Sunroom (approx. 300 sq. ft.) built on our existing deck. In addition to the sunroom, the crew replaced a small section of our deck with Vekadeck Pro (including new stairs and railing). Vekadeck Pro is a superior product compared to other composit products on the market and looks beautiful. The sunroom is self-sufficient, with its own heating and cooling system and makes a wonderful addition to our home. We were extremely happy with the quality workmanship that went into building our Elements Sunroom and would highly recommend Chesterfield Fence and Deck

  Chesterfield Fence and Deck provided a professional job from start to finish. We needed to replace our deck due to some foundation settling on our home on the wall adjacent to the deck, so the large, 15 year old cedar deck was removed by the other contractor. Kevin Gallas, the salesman for CF&D, walked us through the options for a replacement, to include cedar and Vekadeck, and worked with us to come up with a plan that was attractive and functional, meeting the mobility needs of my wife who uses an electric scooter. Ben and his construction team were top notch, telling us exactly what they were going to do and then doing it professionally and correctly, the first time. The construction of the deck is extremely strong, and the finished surfaces are beautiful, with neighbors already complementing us on its appearance. Ben and the team cleaned up the site completely when done, and once the re-seeded areas have grown back, will be a highlight of our home
