California SmartscapeMy husband and I are thrilled with our new backyard! From the beginning Andrew understood our needs and worked on a design that would give us more usable space for our family gatherings. Andrew is jus wonderful to work with! He is attentive to your needs and concerns and has an incredible vision for hardscape design and landscape. Once the design was done, they had to demolish existing cement and level our whole backyard to have more usable space. They installed pavers, lighting, gas lines for our fire pit and grill and landscape. It all came together even better than we ever imagined! The whole team was led by our project manager, Alvaro, who is a pleasure to work with. Every worker that was brought in was professional, punctual, and tidied up before they left for the day. Alvaro was always responsive and accommodating with the changes that we thought needed to be done along the way and still the project was completed on time and within the budget. We wish we could give more than 5 stars and cannot recommend this company enough! Hiring California Smartscape was the best decision we could have made and one we will enjoy for many years to come!!- David B.

San Diego XscapeMiguel does amazing work. Had them put in a fence, retaining wall and pavers. They worked on time and efficiently. We had a hill on the side of our house that ran into the side of the garage making that side of the house useless. Now we have a beautiful side entrance and fence. California SmartscapeCS was attentive and suggestive to my goals for the property, listened intently, created 2D rendering of the project concept all at no initial cost to me. Had owner, Richard and designer Samantha actively engaged in making my plans for the project not only appropriate for the property but also worked aggressively to control the budgetary requirements. Compared to the 2 other designers I was evaluating, it was an impressive beginning. Project delivery, given the hurdles that we had to jump through, was amazing. Project Supervisor, Leo, was attentive to my desire to make changes on the fly as we laid out the project and was good to communicate and discuss the additional cost for change orders. The professionalism of the crews and attention to details was a very positive experience. Even up to the day of the final walk through. Having been through a massive landscape remodel of this kind only once before (not same in scope) I was impressed with their ability to manage all aspects of it's complexity. Jesus and his crew were awesome! Jesus especially was responsive and professional. He asked us questions to keep us involved and ensure we were getting what we wanted, but balanced that out well with professional suggestions and expertise. He was as punctual as any contractor I've ever dealt with, which was refreshing. It seemed important to JC Landworks to FINISH the job as quickly as they could after STARTING it, which helped us feel like valued customers, even though, I imagine, our project wasn't one of his highest-end. Drainage was a huge concern of mine given our hemmed-in backyard, but JC's crew used their laser levels to survey the grade and drainage is spot on. The results were fantastic and we've already recommended him to a friend of ours for their patio project.

Not applicable since they don't work in this area - I did have an review (excellent) for tree trimming and pruning by the Tree Barber and they said that the comments on Angie's List showed them as the sprinkler control valve repair company with a negative review - this is a mistake on your list. The Tree Barber did an excellent job and not involved in sprinkler control valve repairs. The other company on your list of three who does sprinkler control valve repairs called, but never showed up. Please correct the error for the Tree Barber. And I will still continue to use Angie's List. Best, Bill Beeson

We cannot say enough good things about System Pavers. We recently had to have our hardscape repaired after a conduit was laid for a solar power system. System Pavers had installed our beautiful hardscape in 2017. After one phone call, a top-notch team from System Pavers arrived to reinstall the pavers that had been removed by the solar construction. Kyle O'Conner, Luis Alonzo and Luis Peaz were professional, friendly and did a fantastic job for us. In fact, when looking at the repaired area, one cannot tell that it was ever disturbed. It looks as great as it did when it was first installed 4 years ago. The team all wore masks and were extraordinarily courteous and careful on our property. They did a walk-around to inspect the entire property's hardscape, and as we had been promised, it was in great shape. Ken Kensick was our design consultant and our contact for this repair. He and the team represented System Pavers wonderfully. We highly recommend System Pavers!
