My father had a heart attack and was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and needed quadruple bypass. I hopped on a plane from San Francisco with my 2 kids and arrived at my parents house in NJ and I really couldn't get over the state of the house when I arrived. Clearly my father has been sick for quite some time and allowed the house to deteriorate. There was flooding water sitting on the foundation of the back of house due to lack of gutters, paint peeling off everywhere, and the front steps were missing bricks and a hazard to all that would walk up them. I did a quick google search and found Magnolia Home Remodeling and Vic came out the next day for a quote. Vic could not have been a more compassionate, accommodating, wonderful guy! He was so understanding and told me he would have the job done in 5 days and was true to his word. As soon as I gave him the green light and picked the color, the crew came in and completed the job before my dad got home from the hospital as promised. They did beautiful work and my mom, dad, and myself could not be more pleased with the outcome. Vic was superb to work with--I texted him all kind of questions and he got back to me in an instant and would pick up the phone every time I called. I highly recommend using Magnolia and we are actually going to get a few more things done to the house (windows. some cement patio/sidewalks and driveway) in a few months when things settle down with my dad and we look forward to seeing Vic and his great crew again.

Manuel Iglesias, the owner, designed and installed the hardscaping and drainage in my front yard. Manuel was very knowledgeable & was able to incorporate my ideas into a beautiful combination of steps, walkways, and patios. The hardest part of the project for me was making a final decision on design & materials. Once I had done that, Manuel & the rest of his team took over & I didn't have to worry about a thing. They were incredible.....their work was impeccable, they showed-up on time, they worked hard everyday, they were considerate, they were responsive to any and all questions, and everything was cleaned at the end of the day. I would recommend Manuel & his team without reservations. It is difficult to find contractors who do what they say and take pride in their work. This company is special. They are highly skilled, honest, and hardworking. I got quotes from four different companies. Craig's was the lowest. The project entailed: -Demolishing a crumbling property wall and erecting a new cinder block one in its place. -Replacing lava rock/cement planters with river rock. -Redoing a patio with paving stones. -Building a pathway of paving stones. -Grouting/grinding big cracks in cement block walls. -Building brick retainer to support listing brick BBQ. -Patching various chipped bricks and cracks in driveway. The crew worked very hard and finished in about 3 weeks. When I told Craig I was unhappy with something, he was gracious and professional enough to offer to redo the work. He was also very patient in dealing with obnoxious neighbors and difficult city inspectors. I was hesitant to write a review just yet, since the work is still in progress, but Craig freely admitted when an initial approach didn't work and genuinely seems to care that we get the aesthetic I'm after. That speaks volumes.

I contacted Nick via Angie's list site to see if he services San Francisco He replied timely and stated he comes to SF depending on the work needed. My husband continued to make other calls and after further discussion worked out a deal with Nick to come to SF. Pictures of the work needed were sent via email and dates arranged. Nick did the work over this past weekend. He's a young hardworking, HONEST man. Mike's Mobile Screen & Chimney Service
When the technician arrived on time at the scheduled appointment time, he immediately got to work. In no time, he found that the chimney had already been thoroughly cleaned. He performed the inspection and recommended we get a chimney cap installed and said it's something that we could do ourselves so it doesn't cost any more money to have someone else do it. I was very impressed of how honest he was as he could have gone ahead and cleaned the chimney knowing it didn't need it and charged me for the full service. Instead, he just charged for the inspection as this was the only service performed. I will definitely be using Mike's Mobile Chimney for my chimney/fireplace.

I gave Rich at Kerri Landscaping an open-ended (although small) job - I agreed to pay by the hour for as long as it took to get a job done (fixing a masony post by my driveway). He quoted 3 or 4 hours, and finsihed up charging me 3 hours flat. The work looks great, done reasonably quickly (I wasn't in a rush), for the low end of the price range that was quoted, with no payment up front. I couldn't be happier. I was having a problem getting anyone to fix this because it was just a small repair instead of a big construction job, but Kerri Landscapign really came through. When I eventuallyget around to some real landscapign o my back yard, he will be at the top of my list. I'd have no problem hiring Kerri Landscape Services again, and probably will.

We are in the middle of a remodel, and we were held up by a tricky fireplace reface problem. The old bricks had been removed, and before the gas fireplace insert could be installed, and the tile face applied, the fireplace had to be rebuilt. It was much more difficult than it sounds, and we were having trouble finding anyone who was willing to take the time to figure out the very best solution. No one seemed to know how to solve the problem until our plumber recommended Coyle Masonry. One quick phone call and just like superman, Micky Coyle came to our rescue. We couldn't be happier with the work done. The brick work is so beautiful that we hate to cover it up with tile. Avon Masonry Construction
Avon Masonry Construction did a fantastic job. Steve Avon (owner) was quick to respond to my initial inquiry for an estimate and was able to come out within a couple of days. Steve made suggestions that I had not thought about (concrete edging to hold all of the pavers together instead of the aluminum band and spikes method used by most contractors. He also suggested he run 3 20 foot 3/4" PVC pipes and 1 20 foot 3" pipe under the ground for future sprinkler system installation, should the sprinkler contractor need access under the patio) Avon was very professional and finished the job completely within 2.5 days. Steve explained in detail how i should maintain the patio and assured me it will still be in place in 20 years. Very Satisfied and would not hesitate to recommend Avon Masonry Construction.
