All Star Garage Door

Not sure how this place has such high reviews. Had problems with the garage since day one. First the door was not aligned properly so it was grinding against the frame which caused the paint on the garage door to rub off. Then the rubber seal on the bottom starting coming off, so half my garage door doesn't have a rubber seal anymore. To top it off, my garage door stopped closing properly. Spoke to a worker who tried charging me $140 for a service call!! Their warranty only covers 1 year. I've it for about 1 1/2 years. Definitely wouldn't recommend them just based on this experience. I'll take my $ elsewhere. I'll also be talking to my home builder and recommending they go with someone else going forward.

I contacted All Star for a broken motor and spring. At my request, I was able to send photos of the problem and received an estimate via phone immediately. This saved me from leaving work. I asked if they could come out a couple days later and they accommodated my request. Mario did the installation. He was timely and very professional. I was amazed how fast they completed the job. I did not get other estimates but I thought the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend this company and I will use them again.

The experience was first rate. Kevin, the owner, arrived on time for the estimate. I ended up buying garage doors he had in stock. The installer arrived right at the appointed time and did a great job on the installation, including having to make some adjustments to accommodate for some quirks in my garage situation--at no additional fee. I highly recommend All Star Garage Door of Fresno/Sanger.

I ordered it on April 10 and he said it would be around 3 weeks. I called him on May 9th and he said no door yet. Then I called back on June 2nd, he said they lost the order and he said he will have to call me right back. He never called. On June 5th, I called Kevin and he said he would re order it and he promised within 3 weeks. June 24th, still no call, so I called him, he said no door and he would email the company and call me right back. July 1st, still no call, I called Kevin back, and he said he received the wrong size door. He said he will re order the door and call me right back. I waited till September 1st and he still haven't called me back. Six months no call, no door. He said he called and left messages and there are no messages. Kevin is the one I dealt with. Terible service! I would not recommend them anybody.

My original old garage door broke and had to be replaced. I wasn't sure who to call as I work i Southern California and my home is in Fresno. The 1st company on the list was All Star Garage, Kevin was very pleasant on the phone and his price reasonable. Because I had an unexpected emergency Kevin worked out a payment plan with me which really helped out. I am happy with my door and happy to do business with him. I will definitely contact him in the future and highly recommend this business.

Very fast same day service replacing the springs on the garage door.

Called them and they were out the same morning. Also performed the work quickly/efficiently with 2 people. Did excellent job.

I paid $99.00 for the service to quiet the door back in November 2012, which was for a coupon good until May 16, 2013. I hadn't scheduled that maintenance when the door stopped working altogether many weeks ago and we simply worked it manually. Finally tiring of that, I called Kevin on 5/14, left a message and he responded within hours. He came out on 5/16 when he said he would, performed the service I'd paid for, explained in detail why the door had been so noisy and why it wasn't working at all and we agreed on the gear replacement. The next day, at the appropriate time, two other men arrived, replaced the gear and were done in under 30 minutes. The charge for the gear replacement was $135.00. It's my intention that in future whenever I need service or a new garage door, I'll definitely call All Star Garage Door. To be honest, I have not compared the charges with other companies so I'm not qualified to say how competitive All Star is. However, the experience was a pleasant one, the men were friendly, informative and professional. I like to support local, independent entrepreneurs when the service is good. ..

We were getting our garage door serviced because it was very loud and obviously in great need. We had an appointment for another company to come out, but we saw the "Big Deal!" from Angie's List and decided to try it. We are very happy we did! The service call alone would've been $60 with the other company, but with the "Big Deal!" we got a complete tune-up and four new rollers for just $99. We were able to get an appointment promptly and the technician was very friendly. He performed the tune-up (oiling/greasing, chain tightening, etc.) and let us know that everything looked good. Additionally, he needed to replace a few nuts and bolts that had come loose causing the rough open/close, a few tweaks to the roller tracks, and we definitely needed the new rollers. The service was quick and now the whole neighborhood doesn't hear our garage door open and close because it's quiet and smooth! Thank you to Angie's List for the "Big Deal!" and to All Star Garage Door!

called to have springs replaced but they could not change them with out changing the door. I had a new opener put in and have no complaints.

The owner did a terrific job. He was here on time and here when he said he was going to be here. The quality of service was excellent.

I was disappointed that the advertised special was not more clear.

The appointment was made for the Monday to come out but the service guy had vehicle issues so we rescheduled for the next open day (that same week, Wednesday). The service guy showed up (promptly) on the scheduled time and repaired the large [RV] garage door within an hour. This is significant, because I had contacted another higher rated vendor [before these guys], here on Angie's List, who basically, blew me off! (referring me to another [non-Angie's List person], who wished to charge me an "an-arm-and-a-leg" [$500] for a simple job!). This higher rated Angie's List vendor (Sierra) noted that they couldn't work on anything [door] over 8ft. Since my RV garage door was/is 12ft I had to call another service (All Star), and they did-the-job- 100%-RIGHT (and for a good/reasonable price as well). So overall, they (All Star) guys are GREAT in my book (on all levels) and I am VERY happy!

It is amazing what a beautiful door does to the curb appeal of your home. All Star was awesome product-wise and service-wise. I would recommend them to anyone.

They were just very helpful in product availability and helping us choose what looked good on our house. Their prices were very fair. They were always very helpful and the installation was done professionally. We are very happy with the product and the service.
