Peninsula Concrete rebuild two retaining walls in front of my house.one was 4.5" high and the other up to 8" high. The walls were previously wood and were rotting and leaning. They had a large crew with two excavators and began work on time. they excavated to install drainage and geogrid. All inspections were passed and they finished on time and within budget. The walls now look great and should last 100 years. Very satisfied and recommended.

Mr. Le and his crew began work on the vision he presented us with our entire yard:front, back and sides. They constructed a wall at the top of the hill which not only bolstered the grassed and fenced portion of the property, but is also a pathway covered in gravel. At the bottom of the hill they constructed a brick wall and then filled in the space behind the wall with gravel, topsoil and fertilizer. We have various plants down there now and plan to add more. They moved our plants, trees and shrubs to places around the property which made more sense than the random places the previous owners had planted in. They also built a stone stairway going down the back hill, created additional garden space that my wife requested, Put automatic sprinklers all around our house (the property is 8800 sq.ft) and used some bamboo from my neighbors yard (with permission) to build borders along both sides of the back yard hill I described. They also pressure washed the bottom of our deck to ready it for painting. They used plants that were on our property as much as possible so that we didn't have to go out and buy that many new plants. Mr.Le is extremely knowledgeable about plants, and has a fantastic sense of design when it comes to landscaping. He was very collaborative with my wife about where plants should go, listened to what she wanted and offered improvements on what she wanted when it was practicable. They were at our house for 2 weeks or so and we were very glad we hired them. Mr.Le tries to go above and beyond what he offers, and in our case he did

The guy I hired to place expensive natural stone on my retaining wal was a no show. I call called Fernandez Stone work and Landscaping. Him and his men came in and took care of bussiness. Professionally and exactly like he said , when it would be done and how much it would cost. No surprises. He also left the work area cleaner then he found it. I would recommend Mr. Fernandez to my closest friends and family.

Westward Builders just finished a wonderful construction for a new studio on a hillside. A big part of the job was excavating the hillside and build a huge retaining wall. We did not even dream that it could go so smoothly and be so aesthetically pleasant. The wall is a real piece of art and the look is very trendy. Somebody told us that it is very hard to find somebody in San Francisco to do this design . Terry Keast knew exactly what to do and helped us all the way with judicious advices. Stunning results. He gave us the best proposal for the job and he kept the expenses very close to the allocated budget even though he had to do more work that planned at the beginning. His crew was very skilled and efficient. All the workers were delightful, hardworking, punctual and discreet. They worked hard to save as many plants as possible when choosing the path for the heavy equipment. The job was done professionally and in a timely manner. The result is so stunning that even the inspector was amazed and opened big eyes in admiration when he came to check. As you suspect, we highly recommend Westward Builders. I had experience already with All Seasons Construction and was very happy with their retrofit work. Mark Corallo is very professional and easy to work with. This time we wanted to replace a cement walkway and replace a cracking retaining wall. Mark always has great ideas in solving certain issues that he anticipates and is always prompt with an estimate. This time we had Miguel as the foreman for the job and I was equally impressed with him. There are always minor adjustments that need to be made throughout the project and I found Miguel very bright and also an excellent problem solver. He gave me his cell phone the first day of work and always responded quickly if I ever called him, even when I called a week after the project was over. The crew kept the area fairly clean and everything was picked up when they were done. Overall, I am very impressed with the professionalism and quality of this companies work and will certainly use them in the future.

The first thing I liked about Fernando was he was responsive. He replied promptly to my inquiry for an estimate and showed up at the date and time he committed to. It seems like with contractors these days, that's half the battle. On the first job, Fernando listened to what I was asking for, took some measurements and then texted me later with a price. I asked him to put the quote in an email so that we both agreed to the scope and price. Fernando's quote was not the lowest but he seemed detail oriented and could start pretty quickly. The drywall work and painting came out great and the redwood staircase he built is beautiful (not to mention quite sturdy). The retaining wall project was more involved. As requested, Fernando sent me an email quote detailing exactly what was to be done, how long it would take and how much it would cost. Once we agreed up the scope and price, he was able to start right away. Fernando demo'd the old retaining wall while preserving the fence on top of it. He dug holes for three concrete posts, built forms for the posts and a footer and poured a wall 2" thicker than the previous wall. Being on a hill, this looked to be more challenging that a retaining wall built on level ground. The wall and fence look great and I am now able to finish landscaping that part of the yard. Quality is very important to the Fernando and he will tell you in detail what he plans to do. I also appreciated how clean he left the job site at the end of each day. I definitely plan on contacting him in the future for other projects around the house.

The service was punctual, on budget and well done. The owner, Francisco, came out to estimate the work. He comes highly recommended by others and seems to have a lot of integrity. The price he gave us was on the low side of other estimates. It began raining only about 6 hours after they finished pouring. The team came back to check on the work and do a couple of minor changes. The repairs look awesome and we're quite happy.

The process went very well. Staff was very professional. The project was completed as described. We are happy with the way it looks and it does seem to have helped minimize water getting into our basement.

The excavation for the buried crib structure was a huge amount of soil and rock. The topsoil was saved, and much of the subsoil and rock was hauled away Most of the excavation was done by myself in order to reduce the cost a little and to have some control over separating the good topsoil which was saved. The excavation and storage of the piles of soil was very disruptive to my extensive garden, but that was expected and had nothing to do the work of Spryscapes. The workers were friendly, professional, and did very good work. They were pretty good about avoiding any damage to the other areas of my garden which they had to pass through and use for storage of materials for the forms. Overall the job took about 2 months as I recall, and was delayed somewhat by heavy winter rains. The resulting wall was well made and extremely solid. They did a good job cleaning up and removing debris afterward. I used the wall and crib structure as a foundation for a 8' x 10' glass greenhouse which I built directly on top. In the 5 years since the wall was made, it has not cracked or shifted the slightest bit. I am very pleased with it.

As I said above we could not be happier! They removed old rebar and Big roots that were lifting our driveway. We have the best driveway on our street! Also Wonderful price. Do not go to some of the very large companies. They gave us poor customer care and the price for same job was almost double! We are expanding our back yard by installing a retaining wall. He said he could help me to install my retaining wall and would get back to me with a quote. I reached out to him once and never received a call back and have not heard from him again.
