New York Tristate Area Wall Oven Installation

I contacted SPA about getting service for my gas wall oven because it would not stay on. I spoke to Peter and told him the oven was installed (incorrectly) by the previous owner under a counter. He told me that the problem was not with my oven but with the installation and that it was not getting enough air. He said he did not want to charge me for a visit to fix a problem that was not with the oven, but with an incorrect installation. He suggested a work around to keep my oven lit and even sent me a PDF of a similar electric oven that might fit in the same space and use low voltage. I really appreciate the honesty and the very good advice—they clearly know their stuff. 6 years ago another service company had no problem charging me $325 to fix a sensor that was not broken. Would definitely recommend this company!!!

This company doesn't care in the least about customer service because they are exclusively hired by the giant chain Lowe's to handle all of the installations in Greensboro, NC. There is zero customer service, zero accountability, zero contact made, in fact, they won't even let you speak with a manager because, as the stony receptionist put it, I might lose my temper. They do not return calls, do not return emails, do not bother to tell you when they deign to "put you on the calendar", nor do they even do much of anything correctly at all. I hope these people go out of business!!!!!

FIRST TIME USERS OF ANGIE'S LIST. OUR EXPERIENCE TODAY WAS GREAT. EDDIE WAS PROMPT, CURTEOUS, AND WAS VERY KNOWLEDGABLE ABOUT HIS CRAFT. HE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE OVEN AND BROUGHT THE CORRECT PARTS WITH HIM. THE STOVE WAS IN WORKING ODER WITHIN HALF AN HOUR. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND HIM AND NOT HESITATE TO CALL HIM AGAIN. THE FEE WAS REASONABLE ALSO.

Originally, I contacted Angieslist. I decided to use NY Refrigeration Repair Specialist. I requested a quote from Angieslist. I never received a response. I sent a negative review. Sal from the company called me. He never got the request. He sent someone that day. Great job! Professionally done. Highly recommend them!

With Thanksgiving only a few days away, an issue arose with our oven. I checked out appliance service providers and in reading the reviews, chose Blue Ribbon. I called on Sunday expecting a call back Monday morning, instead , received a call back about 10 Minutes later.... Nadir was able to come to the house the next day, he diagnosed the problem and ordered the part overnight to assure the oven was fixed in time for Thanksgiving. The entire experience with Nadir, Blue Ribbon Appliance Repair was one I had never experienced with any repair company prior, he provides "BEST IN CLASS" service with the utmost professionalism. If ever in need of appliance service, Nadir should be the only call you make, I highly recommend him!!!

Pete returned my call right away and made an appointment for 2 days later. Pete arrived at the promised time, diagnosed the problem and made the repair. We were extremely pleased!

THE SALESPERSON AT THE STORE WAS RESPONSIVE AND HELPFUL. THE BEST THING ABOUT THE INSTALLATION TEAM WAS THAT THEY WERE ON TIME. THEY RUSHED IN, DID THE JOB AND RUSHED OUT. THEY DID OKAY, BUT NOT GREAT.

first wall oven delivered was supposedly a new floor model. was not working 2 days after. checked serial # and found out it was a 2013 model. took 4 months to replace with a less expensive new model which was installed sticking out of the cabinet 3-4 ". No refund ever given for the overcharge. No response to texts except to say he was coming but never showed up. both his cell and office number cannot accept messages as the mailbox is always full. 7 months later I am $700.00+ not refunded, no response, and an oven sticking out of the cabinet........

UNCERTAIN TECHNICAL EXPERTISE (REPAIR REQUIRED 4 VISITS OVER A 6-WEEK PERIOD TO FIX A SIMPLE PROBLEM) AND RUDE OFFICE PERSONNEL Our Frigidaire wall oven was just out of warranty when we used the self-clean function for the first time. Halfway through the cycle, the heat went off and we couldn't finish the cleaning cycle or cook. We contacted Frigidaire, who agreed to give us a parts concession if we used one of their three authorized service dealers. They set us up with All Appliance Repair, which initially seemed punctual and professional. We paid $96.30 for the diagnostic visit and were told the actual repair would cost an additional $100-$150 after the parts came in. The technician had to return three times because of parts issues, which he blamed on the manufacturer. All in all, he replaced the fan (which may not have needed replacing), digital clock (twice--the first one was the wrong model part and may not have needed replacing), and what he called a "cutout," a heat sensor/safety valve (twice--the first one was defective, and this may be the only part that actually needed replacing based on an internet search). Our oven does finally work. He did not bring an electrical tester until the fourth visit. Between the third and fourth visits, we contacted Frigidaire about getting a labor concession in addition to the parts coverage because of the repeat visits, and they agreed. The technician did not charge us for subsequent visits, but he seemed annoyed about the labor concession, especially when we asked about getting our initial payment refunded. He told us to call the office, but that it probably wouldn't work and that we should try Frigidaire first. So we did, and Frigidaire said that we were entitled to have all labor costs covered and escalated our request; we're waiting for a callback. Meanwhile, we called All Appliance Repair, and the woman we spoke to became angry and told us we were costing their company money, and she refused to refund the $96.30 and hung up. Because the technician may have made errors (the parts issue is not clear) and the staff is not willing to work out a payment dispute resolution, we cannot recommend this company. We are not trying to cheat them out of money, only to get the manufacturer to cover all costs. The contract between the manufacturer and the service provider may have limitations that we are unaware of may be the cause of their anger. We'll see what Frigidaire says when they call back.

Hello - We were sent to Anytime Appliance from our insurance company and from our initial contact through to the final installation of our new wall ovens, every representative that we dealt with was kind, professional, happy, and a pleasure to do business with. Did not go well. Technician misdiagnosed the problem and instead tried to sell me new oven. When I found out after that problem was a simple button, I asked for and was told would get a refund. When not received, I called and was met with abuse, name calling and threats. Not the type of customer service I would expect from a reputable company.

Louis was friendly, professional, explained everything that was wrong with the unit. He worked quickly and efficiently. I will definitely call Earl B. Feiden for appliance repairs in the future.

He was very professional and knowledgeable, however, we had spent so much money on others trying to repair wall oven that we did not want to spend another $500 for him to attempt to fix it. We bought a new double wall oven instead (Purchase place recommended by him) but I would definitely use him first in the future if I need any large appliance repair.

Repairman came on time, diagnosed the problem the fixed the oven. He was professional, courteous and answered all my questions.

The light inside my very old (30+ years) GE electric oven had stopped working. I wasn't sure if it was just a bulb that needed replacing or it was the outside switch. When they called to confirm the appointment they almost discouraged me from this service because since the oven is so old, if the problem was the switch the part would no longer be available and they didn't want me to pay $100+ just to change a light bulb. I decided to have them come anyway. Aparently the bulb had become loose from what they said was banging the door shut. Even though it was a crazy price to pay to have the bulb changed, it was worth it because the screws were so tight and the oven is so old I was afraid tI would damage the cover by trying to unscrew the cover myself. I'm thrilled to have the light back. The repairman was very prompt and pleasant and I actually paid less than they quoted me originally. The fee for just walking in the door is $99 so the actual work cost $56. They lead me to believe it might cost $250 in total.
