It was a complicated repair and it required some parts for so. The job went perfect. The lens was back to where it should be. The aperture ring had stopped functioning, and they had to dismantle the whole lens, replace the blades or leaves, I do not know what they called, reassemble it, and because they have taken the glass out they had to recolumate it so it would focus correctly at different distances. I could imagine that they could have been cheaper and quicker, but I certainly have to rate them very high. Their price was a little high. In terms of responsiveness, I called, I asked do you do this, they said bring it in; I showed it to them, they said yes we do, and they wanted to do it, and they did it. Their professionalism is very good. I would use them again in the future as there is no alternative. They do the job that they claim they do

I like B & H, I have used them to buy camera equipment in the past. They do not do camcorder repairs on my Cannot camcorder. I wish they did, the work locally has not been completed and it?s been over a month.

I'm assuming they are still there. They did a good job. I don't know if they do digital or not. The price was very reasonable. The only thing that was wrong with them was sometimes their hours. They weren't necessarily open when they said they would be open.

The digitization process went good enough for 55 year old film and at a reasonable price for a 50 foot movie. However, Bernied did charge $ 39.99 each for the two DVD copies, somehow I evalue that as a very expensive set of copies, burning a disk costs less than a Dollar, and with the service the price was way too high. Do be careful with Bernie's photo and discuss the price of services beforehand

The process of dealing with this company was nothing short of atrocious. I had camera problems a few days before my wife and I were to take a cross-country trip. Seeking a quick repair, I contacted this company. At the outset, I made it clear that if the repairs could not be completed before my trip, then I would hold on to the camera and deal with it after. I gave the camera over along with a $40 deposit, for an estimate. The following business day, I was contacted and assured that the repairs could be done within a day and that we would have the camera in time for the trip. The cost of over $400 was acceptable, considering the turnaround, so I accepted. We heard nothing the next day, so we called and were promised it would be ready the following day (the day before our trip). We followed up that day and were told it would be another week. We were understandably frustrated, but they offered us a "comparable loaner" for our trip. Upon arriving to pick up said loaner, we realized that the camera they were offering was several rungs lower in quality; while it could use the same lenses and memory card, the resolution and color depth, not to mention its range of controls, were greatly limited in comparison. After a week, we returned from our trip and again asked about the camera. They said it would be ready within "a few days." There was one more part they needed in order to complete the repair. At this point, I was outraged. I asked for the camera back, but at this point it was disassembled and they refused to return it. Another several days passed; finally, they told me that all the parts they needed are in their hands. There was only one catch: the repairs would cost over $300 more than initially promised. I refused the service, asked for a refund minus the deposit, and asked to have the camera reassembled so I could pick it up. The service rep agreed. An hour later, I received a call that actually, their technician (I guess they only have one person on staff who understands cameras) had left for the weekend, and I would have to wait some more. Finally, on the Tuesday of the following week, I got a call that the camera was ready. I picked it up, got my refund, and will never do business with these frauds again. They will say anything to get your business and under deliver, if they deliver at all
