He found the capacitor on the outside A/C unit tested low, but it was still under warranty so he replaced it for free, a nice surprise. Another surprise came when it was time to settle-up. I expected to pay $107 for the furnace check-up (with a $41 discount I got in the mail) and $148 for the A/C check-up. But he said I could get their Gold Smart Club membership for one year for $191.40. It was available without an automatic renewal and included today's service, so effectively it amounted to a further discount from what I expected to pay. I've liked knowing Standard has my back and knowing exactly who I'll call if a problem arises, and this gives me further confirmation of that

"I got excellent response, pricing, and service from Brian and Dustin at BGL Services. I backed into my garage door when it only opened half way, and my car got stuck inside. Needed fast help to get car out and door fixed. I pulled up Angie’s List and requested info on 4 repair shops. Called and left msg at a couple others, but w/in minutes, Brian at BGL called me back. He was able to get out that day to get the door in it’s track and raised so I could get my car out, but the wood door was broken so it would be unsafe to fix. Brian’s quote of a little over $900 for a new steel door was in line with what my insurance agent suggested. It did take a few days to come back with the door, but my car was in another garage, so time wasn’t critical. Brian gave updates on where the door was and when they could get out. His worker Dustin came out to install door in 0 deg weather - competent and professional. Came back the next day to install door frame molding he didn’t have with him. Finished the job well. I would use them again! Dustin, as a subcontractor for Brian’s general contracting side of the business, was even able to fix a cellar floor joist support after he finished the garage work. Super!

"We interviewed 5 different Heating & Air companies before deciding on Heating & Cooling Two. We absolutely loved them from start (coming into our home and letting us know what they could do for us), to having them come and complete the project. There was never any high pressure and the price was great, especially for all THREE (heating/A/C & water heater).
On May 25, 2022, Josh & Mitch showed up in the morning to get started, despite cool drizzly weather. They were installing a new furnace & A/C, as well as a new water heater. We were so impressed by how steadily they worked, even while indulging my questions along the way. These guys barely stopped for water breaks.
They disconnected and removed old equipment, carefully removing it from the house. They had spread drop cloths and were very thoughtful about trying to keep our house clean (more so than my kids!!).
This was a big project and their coordination of having an electrician come in when they needed was spot on. Everything was done seamlessly. Josh & Mitch were a great team, with Josh working inside and Mitch working outside on the A/C.
Josh asked if it was alright to work beyond 4:00PM, as he was willing to come back the next day, if we wanted him to finish later. We were fine with him staying, and he did, until around 8:15PM. His dedication was incredible and his attention to detail was fantastic. Everything looks & performs wonderfully. He cleaned up everything, after finishing and even called from the road, to make sure he hadn’t left anything behind.
Josh went over the details of the invoice before leaving. He shared how all of the rebates would be sent to us, but submitted by Heating & Cooling Two. We loved the “no muss fuss�? on our end.
We called the inspectors in our city (Bloomington) for a final inspection and they were also very impressed with the work. That was a nice stamp of approval!!
Our new hot water heater is giving us great HOT water. Our A/C is working great (important with our current weather forecast). We haven’t used the heat, but know we can count on it.
We are tremendously happy with Heating & Cooling Two and HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to anyone seeking new HVAC for their home. They were easy to work with and can do it all. Please give them a call if you are looking for a quote.
