The furnace works quite well. New Climate even repaired some bad ductwork on our 2nd furnace for a reasonable price. Kirk reviewed several options with me about what size furnace we needed and why, the differences between furnaces of three companies, and left the final decision for me and my husband to make. When we hesitated because of the pricing of the 3 furnaces, he called the companies and got us a lower price on each furnace.

McClain did not bug me or pressure me to go with them. They did answer all of my questions, and provided all of the details that I needed to compare various estimates. It is very difficult to compare estimates because there is so much variability with furnaces, i.e., like comparing apples and oranges. I was debating between 2 companies (both from Angies List), but ended up with McClain because we didn't have a working furnace and they did prioritize our furnace installation quickly because cold weather was forecast. Buddie installed the new Maytag furnace, which took a day and a half because of some of the complexities of removing our large 20+ year old inefficient furnace that had a huge duct to the chimney. However, he made sure the furnace was in good running order on the first day so that we could get the house warm. The new Maytag furnace is 95% efficient. Buddie was able to hook up our old Aprilaire humidifier into the new furnace easily. Our new furnace is quieter and more efficient. We're quite happy with our new Maytag furnace.

We have a contract with them, hey do the furnace and the air conditioning at different times during the year, to $250 a year. They will come back in the fall or the early winter to do the furnace. The cost will also cover a visit in the fall for the furnace.

My furnace wouldn't turn on when it started to get cold. I called another company and they said my 23 year old furnace's control board was shot. They suggested I replace the furnace. I decided to get a second opinion and called Ken at Bockrath. As he was giving me an estimate for a furnace and air conditioner we found that the outside air vent had a bird's nest in it. He suggested I clean it out good and try the furnace again. Later, after he had left, I cleaned the vent and the furnace started with no problem. We've had some issues with the furnace and air over the last couple of years so I decided it was a good time to get upgrade and get both heat and air. They installed over a two day period. Everything went smoothly. I appreciate their professionalism and service.

I was not happy with them. I felt like they didn't warn me of some things and I ended up having problems with my furnace and that is why I ended up having another one last November. I replaced a furnace that was only six years old. I needed to have changed my old air conditioning unit and they did not tell me. It dripped down inside my furnace and kept blowing out my circuit board and my furnace and the warranty was out on the furnace. That is why I had a whole new furnace put in back in November.

The heat exchanger on a 10 year old Trane furnace had broken, and the contractor that installed it didn't want to replace it. They insisted a new furnace would be a better solution. Their bid was higher than I expected, so I went shopping. Tri State was the best bid and installed the furnace quickly and efficiently. I would hire them again for furnace and HVAC work.

He was also very aggressive with discounts and rebates I could receive which is why I selected them to install my Trane furnace. Logan's was 1 of 3 bids I received. They were a little bit higher than I would have received from a different company on another brand but, I liked the thoroughness of the presentation and the reputation of the furnace brand so I chose Logan's to do the install.

Recent Review: Wow! These guys are the best! After Corey gave us the estimate and we signed the contract, Dave and Lee showed up to do the installation, on time of course. They also had a fellow who dug the horizontal trenches in the yard for the system, and he was very careful, neat and filled everything back in. The guys were here for 5 days, and every day was an adventure. Dave really is a magician, he knows his stuff. Every time something new was happening, a complete explanation was given, in terms that a normal person could understand. When they left for any reason, they came and told us what was going on and when they would return. In the trenches, all the joints were heated and fused together so that the pipe doesn't leak. The AC is wonderful and the house is soooo comfortable now. The propane furnace was fired up to make sure it works and all systems are go. If you need your basement cleaned up, these are the guys to call. Everyday they swept and cleaned, the basement is now cleaner than before. Corey and Dave are a partnership that is great, they complement each other with their skills. Thanks guys, you rock! Can't find a place to attach pictures - I took a bunch..... : - )

Recent Review: A first class act! Our furnace had been out for over a week in zero degree weather. Another company had failed to fix the furnace and we awoke on a sub-zero Sunday morning to another day of frigid cold. Corcoran and Harnist arrived on a Sunday emergency call in no time (traveling across town from the west side to extreme east side). They fixed our furnace instantly (took other guys about two days and it still didn't work), and came out a second time to double check whether we should consider buying a new furnace. They were honest and told us it would not be worth the cost to invest in a new furnace -- HONEST, PROFESSIONAL, TRUSTWORTHY and EXPERT. We hired them again to install a new humidifier. They were not the cheapest, but they were definitely the most responsive, professional and trustworthy. They even anchored down a plumbing line in the basement for me at no additional charge. And they clean up after themselves. I will hire this company again without hesitation because they are honest and really know their stuff.

Recent Review: Called because furnace wouldn't light. Service person came out same day and and showed me the problem. I had to agree with him so the blower was replaced. 2 weeks later was having another issue and called back to which the owner came and showed me that an element was dirty. He cleaned it and offered to leave some material that I could use if it happens again. No charge for the second visit.

Recent Review: Keith and Ed showed up on time. Taped down paper to protect the floor from dirt and water, then put down drop clothes on the carpeted areas to protect that. Removed the old furnace. They spent the rest of the day installing the new furnace(ie. the furnace, outside temp sensor, drilled and installed fresh air run). After the install, they tested the furnace and helped me register the wireless system online. Answered all my questions, and were professional and courteous the entire day.
