East West Roofing LLC.When I called/contacted & they called, it was telephone tag. The day they were to come it rained so it was rescheduled after our vacation. When I notified them we were back and gave them a bit of background on the home, they wanted an "up charge" d/t roof height(s). Since this was not known or agreed upon I protested and their roof person came out to look and took care of the gutters. Since I was not present during the cleaning and he did not leave a note, I had to call again to determine status. That's when I found out that he had completed the task. I need to inspect to see if the job was completed as ordered and agreed upon, but weather has not been particularly cooperative nor have I had sufficient time to look.- Dave M.

East West Roofing LLCThey scheduled an appointment only after I called them and left messages after I had paid for a special for $85 through Angie's List for roof inspection and gutter clean. After finally scheduling a time to do the job, they called the day of the scheduled appointment and canceled because someone was sick. Never heard from them again.- Lynda B.

East West Roofing LLCI ordered the gutter cleaning and was contacted by East West Roofing. They scheduled a time for the cleaning but no one showed up. I called to find out what happened and was told that the guy got held up on another job. I was told that I would be called back and a new time arranged once it was determined what the schedule was. I didn't hear back from East West so I cleaned the gutters myself.- Steven B.

I signed a contract to do work with People’s Choice Roofing (P.C.R.) in August of 2019 and after 7 months they had still done nothing despite a number of phone calls. Early on, they asked me for half of the money down ($4,500) so they could buy materials for the project. This was not an unreasonable request. Some roofing companies do it others do not. So I gave them the money and shortly after some dealings with my insurance company they began to tell me how insurance companies were abusing their power and that I needed to stand up for my rights and sign a document called an "Assignment of Claim" (AOC). This would enable them to get the funding they were asking for from the insurance company. To sign this meant that I would essentially sign over my rights in dealing with my insurance company to PCR. This did not sound like a good idea to me because I would be giving up my control of the project to the roofer. Even though there was no requirement to sign this AOC stated on the contract, they would not do the work until I signed the AOC. I refused to sign. When I contacted the Better Business Bureau to register a formal complaint, a BBB agent told me that PCR had a “D+” rating and that there was another party who had made the same type of complaint against PCR (ie, losing their money). I called the regional building department and found out that there were many complaints and lawsuits against PCR. My recommendation is not to do business with People’s Choice Roofing!

Usually we ask for 1/2 up front and 1/2 upon completion of project, unless its a major project and then we will work out a payment schedule.
