      Comment: Leak in a round gable vent on north-facing wall (attic) of our house. Water comes through vent, which is accessible from attic, and flows down beams/rafters/framing leaving water stains on interior wall of room above gable vent. Vent has been "fixed" multiple times by painters who caulked, as did the roofer when we got a new roof a couple of years ago. The roofing fix held for a while, but when Harvey's winds hit us, it obviously broke through the fix.
