All Things New, LLC

Willie and his All Things New team did beautiful work for us on a large remodeling project (kitchen & bath) in 2017, so when we decided to do additional repairs and add a second-floor bathroom to our Fellâ s Point townhouse, he was our first choice. We were not present for most of the work period, and we knew we could trust him entirely â both to carry out the remodel and to supervise other professionals (e.g., a stonemason, electricians and plumbers) to do good work at a fair price, on time. The results exceeded our expectations. Willie brings formidable expertise and management skills to his work. He gave us excellent advice on design, and went far beyond his formal responsibilities (and the original contract) to create a beautiful and functional space at a price we could afford.

We are very happy with the work All Things New completed for us. Willie walked/talked us through the entire process which was very helpful for us since this was our 1st home renovation using a contractor. They took the time to cover the work area, keeping the demolition dust to a minimum. Willie was able to adjust his plans, on the spot, when we changed our minds about how we wanted to handle one of the walls/doorway. Our project was completed on time and within our budget. Our expectations were met and then exceeded. All Things New will be the 1st we contact for our next home improvement project.

I cannot say enough kind words about Willie and his teammates, Donny and Melvin. They completed my basement renovation this week, which has taken a little over a month to complete. Willie is a man with integrity, honesty, and an overall great person to have work on your home. They worked Monday-Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. They clean up their workspace at the end of each day. He isn t working on a ton of other projects simultaneously. When he is committed to your home, you get his team completely until the job is done. He provides a more intimate experience, and while things may take a little longer because of the smaller team, it is 100% worth it for the quality. I am a bit OCD, and he has taken every single detail that I wanted and truly delivered. He created my vision for my basement, and we are truly grateful. I interviewed so many contractors before finding All Things New, and please look no further. These are lovely men, and Willie s smile and positive attitude that he brings each day is an added bonus. He loves what he does and it shows! We plan to use him for all our future projects, and I am so thrilled to have such a talented professional in my area to count on who is so versatile with his abilities in construction. I will sing their praise any day of the week!

I had ALLTHINGSNEW redo my basement and add a wall to create a bedroom. Willie and his crew were professional, clean, and quick! I would recommend them for anything you need done. They went above and beyond my expectations and the space looks like it came with my home.

Willie responded to my request to Home Advisor for someone to build a closet. He scheduled an appointment and arrived on time, actually early. He took measurements for the closet I wanted built. I received an estimate shortly after that, and we scheduled the work. He arrived on time and completed the work as promised. I found Willie to be very nice and accommodating as were the two crew members. I am very pleased with my closet and hope to have further dealings with Willie.

I hired ATN to do extensive work in my basement: remediating water damage, building bookshelves, reconfiguring a laundry area, and gutting and rebuilding a full bath. First of all, the quality of their work was excellent. Willie and his team do not cut corners, do not take short cuts, and approach every task from drywall to tiling to fixture installation with attention to detail. The finished product was breathtaking and everything I had dreamed up. I have hired many professionals through the years, but what set ATN apart from every other professional I’ve work with was their RELIABILITY, INTEGRITY, AND COMMUNICATION. Reliability: Willie showed up on time to the minute for the estimate, whereas the other 4 estimates we got came late or at staggered times in a several hour window. This reliability continued throughout the weeks of work, as Willie and his team showed up promptly to begin work at 8am every morning. He had the same dedicated team every day, and ATN works only on YOUR project until it’s done. He was the only contractor who we got an estimate from who offered this approach, and it made a huge difference. Integrity: Willie was a lifesaver when he discovered, a week into work, that the waterproofing system that another company had installed recently did a subpar job. I think other contractors would have looked the other way and continued their work, but Willie brought the issue to my attention, explained why he thought the work was not done properly and even advocated for us when an employee from that company came over to check it out. He did all this knowing that fixing the waterproofing issues would delay his work, but he did it because he has the utmost integrity. Ultimately, with Willie’s help, we got the waterproofing company to tear out the entire system and redo it from scratch. I can’t thank ATN enough for this. Communication: So important on a big project! Willie communicated promptly on any issue that arose through text, email and face to face. As many hiccups arose (termites, unforeseen electrical and plumbing problems), Willie was excellent at explaining each issue in an understandable way, proposing various solutions, and being transparent about any revisions to the price and timeline. Not only is Willie a great communicator, but he’s also just a super friendly guy, former military and proud dad and granddad. My husband says he wants to be Willie when he grows up :) Highly recommend ATN!

I've done a lot of renovations since the 80s, working with contractors good and not so. Hands-down the best by far has been Willie Ratliff and his company All Things New LLC, recently converting a garage to an office / studio. He, his crew, and all subcontractors did exceptional work, clearly enjoying doing a good job and taking pride in it. Willie himself is an excellent listener, always open to questions, suggestions, and reasonable changes, gives solid advice. He really wants a happy customer. He and all of his crew were professional, personable, and easy to have around, and the problems that arise in any project were handled quickly and gracefully. My wife and I actually missed having them here after they finished. When the work started, they were on it five days a week, showing up punctually and staying with it through the day: no other jobs interfered. Then they cleaned up really well every day. I also like that they use high quality tools and know how to operate them. The project was completed very close to schedule, running only one day over, and the cost was exactly as shown on the estimates. All changes made during the project were noted and recorded on the day they happened, and all invoices and receipts were emailed punctually. All money dealings were straightforward and negotiated in good faith without anything odd. Willie Ratliff is an ethical man. He and all of his workers are skilled, friendly, polite, fun and hard-working...truly exceeding expectations. As long as I'm living in or near Baltimore, I will hire no one else.

Willie came out right away, did an excellent job, cleaned up after himself and left the area cleaner than when he got there. He ran into some unexpected flooring tile from the previous home owner and handled it, too. Well done. We'd recommend in a heart beat to anyone needing professional repair and or installation.

Willie and his team were wonderful in remodeling our bathroom and kitchen in Baltimore. Great design ideas, excellent craftsmanship including building of custom features, and fantastic value. Highly professional -- well organized, attentive to keeping the living space clean during the remodel, and beautiful work! I hope to have a long continuing relationship with All Things New.
