New York Tristate Area Porch Railing Installation

The entire experience was positive. There was great responsiveness when making the initial inquiry and coordinating an appointment, we received a confirmation call the day before, the technician arrived exactly on time, and the dedication to doing a good job and the quality of the work performed were outstanding. The product we chose made for a labor-intensive installation, so the cost of service was in line and reasonable. Mr. Handyman was a refreshing change from the other contractors we reached out to for this project. One well-known company that runs TV commercials all the time quoted an outrageous price (an estimate which took weeks to get and required multiple follow up phone calls). Two other contractors who came by to do estimates never did send estimates or respond to follow up phone calls. It was a pleasure doing business with the professionals at Mr. Handyman and we will use their services again.

Steve and his team did a great job. He gave us options so we could choose appearance and cost. They showed up on time, finished on time and cleaned up. I'd be happy to hire them again.

The installation from start to finish was very well done. We requested a railing for a handicapped individual, where the railing had to be extended down to the sidewalk, and not end on the fist step. They manufactured and installed a beautiful railing that is currently being used by a very happy handicapped person. They can finally leave their home without help from another person.

Excellent work all around. They were able to start quickly and finished in 2 days. Very happy with the finished product.

Gasper Nogara, the second generation owner, is an excellent professional. My project, as designed by my architect, involved parts that are not commonly available, including extra-thick, solid-core twisted posts, and handrails composed of a half-round bar on a flat bar and ending in a "lamb's tongue". These had to be custom-ordered from various vendors or custom-fabricated in Gasper's shop. When Gasper came to my house to take exact measurements and sign a contract, he had a good idea of how long it would take, given his workload, to fabricate and install my job. Installation was exactly within the promised timeframe, and was performed efficiently and professionally. The final product is something to be proud of.

I had to have the railing on my front steps cut for masonry repair. I needed someone who could weld aluminum and found this company though Angie's list. He came out, took my railing piece back to the shop. When I drove home the next day, it was already installed on my steps, good as new.

Precision Fence Co showed up on time, gave me an on the site quote. They were slightly more expensive than another fence company but its well worth it. They showed up a week or two later to perform the job. Workers set up the posts and had the job completed in one day. Would use them again.

Tomasz' TL Home Improvement is the real deal. He and his crew completely transformed our home, the result exceeded our expectations. From the first contact all the way through, Tomasz delivered very high professionalism, knowledge, and skills. We looked at multiple siding contractors and hired TL because of his detailed quotes, did what he said, was on time, maintained a clean site and was easy to work with. We're extremely pleased with the work....thank you Angie's List for connecting us and thank you Tomasz and TL for the fantastic work!

I WAS DISSATISFIED WITH THE PERFORMANCE THAT AMERICAN RAILING PERFORMED. THE PRICE WAS ABSOLUTELY NOT WORTH THE QUALITY. MY RAIL IS ALREADY FALLING APART AFTER TWO WEEKS. WHEN THEY CAME TO REPAIR THEIR MISTAKE THAT TOOK EVEN LONGER.

They came 5 hours late, the man did not have the right columns, had larger columns that he said he would not charge me. The columns that were installed look bad. The cap cracked, they did not screw on the porch railings completely onto the columns. I have been calling since April, and nobody speaks English. The guy who did the work originally no longer works there. They said they were going to repair it, that was more than a month ago and I haven't heard from them since. The handrailing they installed is also not angled correctly. I would not recommend them to anybody.

It went great. The quality of the materials is superior and dealing with Seth from start to finish was a pleasure.

The railing is perfection! Mr. Lang is very professional and pleasant. He is very detailed oriented and checked with me every step of the day to ensure I liked where everything was placed and how everything was coming along. Would recommend 100%!

They are friendly and did good work. It did take a couple of follow up calls to keep the ball rolling. I would use them again.

Raul and his crew were terrific. They did a wonderful job, completed it quickly, and were also very organized and tidy. Raul also arranged for some carpentry work that needed to be done, and that was also done quickly and completely. This is one of the best contractor experiences I've had.
