He also turned a half wall into a full wall and put a door frame in so that the space was a room instead of a loft. "I’ve been a Painting Edge customer since 2003 for both interior and exterior painting. The Painting Edge team have just completed the exterior painting of the wood siding on my house and the backyard pergola. I wanted to share my experience with others who are researching companies for their painting needs.
What I feel sets The Painting Edge apart from its competitors are four main things:
1) Proper prep work before the paint is applied. This includes first checking the surfaces for defects or wood rot that need to be repaired or replaced. Then surface preparation follows by cleaning the entire surface and proper caulking where needed.
In my situation, wood rot was found in several areas. Chris is the team’s long-time carpenter who expertly handles those types of repair and replacement. He makes the magic happen. Then the painting team’s project leader for my project, Jesus, was the key to not only keeping the team on schedule and keeping the momentum going but also making certain nothing was inadvertently overlooked.
2) Being a full-service company with attention to detail. Every customer job is different. There are various nuances at each customer’s project that must be addressed. Having a team with so many individual skills under one roof eliminates any extra hassle for the customer. The company has a number of interior and exterior teams to handle any type of painting job, along with carpenters to handle any wood repair and/or replacement. The project leaders coordinate everything and make certain no detail is missed.
3) Respect for the customer and the customer’s property. The Painting Edge team members take pride in their work and in being as careful with the customer’s property as they would their own. I have a great deal of landscaping and lighting that the men had to work around. The job site was kept so clean and organized that unless people passing by actually saw them on ladders, they didn’t even know they were here. All the team members make sure that there is minimal disruption while the job is being done.
4) Dedicated and hardworking team members. The Painting Edge hires only the best people. Todd is careful in who he hires because he stands behind the quality his company offers. He oversees the project leaders who take the time to well train the new members so that everyone subscribes to the same quality standards that have kept them one of the best painting companies in the area.
Lastly, I just want to mention that the entire team was so very personable and friendly, it was a pleasure to have them here. This year they worked tirelessly in 100 degree heat each day yet maintained the superior performance they are known for and even kept a great sense of humor despite the oppressive heat. "Victor did an excellent job of replacing drywall and texture in our 1st floor condominium. The continuous area spanned our kitchen, entryway, living room and dining room. About half the ceiling had been removed due to water damage, and the remainder needed to be prepared to accept new texturing. All walls and ceiling in the same space received new paint. Once our damaged flooring is replaced. This 20+ year-old condo will look better than new. "F I S H Painting & Drywall did a great job on getting my 2 upstairs bathrooms’ back up to snuff. I had been wanting to get the drywall fixed around our 2 bathtubs and standup shower as it had start chipping and coming off around the tops of the enclosures. On a scale of 1 to 10, my bathrooms were a 4, they were in desperate need of help. I end up talking to 4 vendors about the job and settled on Dennie/ F I S H Painting & Drywall. The main selling point, he had 40 yrs of doing this type of work. I needed someone to take the extra step and had the knowledge to do it right, since it was getting pretty bad. You can hire cheap, but that is what you get most times. I needed experience in this case. I ended up needing a ton of nail pops fixed in 4 bedrooms and the 2 bathrooms. They redid bad tape joints in our small bathroom and in our ceilings. They were also able to retexture the ceilings to match the existing too, which I was definitely wanting. And then I had just the 2 bathrooms painted top to bottom for now. I am concentrating more on just the bathrooms first. They were fast to get to my job when I told them I was ready. I thought it was going to be a couple of weeks and they had a couple of people that needed to rearrange schedules, so I got bumped up. They suggested a satin paint for bathrooms and the proper ceiling paint for a bathroom too. I did have some additional nail pops that needed to be addressed after everything was done, due to the walls being white before. Sometimes it is hard to catch them all on a white wall. Dennie came out and fixed them. He even found extra ones that I did not see too. I appreciate him taking the time to come out and do a double take on everything. Now I can sleep better at night. I feel that I have gotten off to a good start getting the house started.
