"Mario responded to my project description and made an appointment to see the project. He had good reviews in Angi. Project was removal to ground level of a small tree/shrub (1 foot diameter and about 12-15 feet tall) and a Y shaped stump about 3 feet tall with components also about 1 foot in diameter. Removal was necessary to replace fence as both were pushing the fence.. He gave me a price and offered to do the job immediately having brought his truck to the interview. The price was a little high but not unreasonable. After some discussion about how he planned to do it alone, I agreed. He did the job in less than three hours and hauled away the debris. Because the stump was holding the old fence upright, he cut poles from his tall tree waste and propped up the fence so it remained upright when he finished-that was beyond our discussions and very helpful. I was well satisfied with his performance."

Tree removal is really not a DIY job - especially when height, surrounding structures, electrical wires, fences, and wildlife is involved. A professional tree removal company nearby is your best bet to get the job done quickly and, most importantly, safely.

The average price of removing a tree ranges between $400 and $2,000. Small trees up to 75 feet high typically cost $1,000 or less, while those above 75 feet range up to $1,800 and more. Foliage condition of and access also factor into that range.

Home insurance only covers tree removal if it's already fallen and has caused damage. General yard maintenance, like pruning branches or removing a dying tree, is not included in most policies. If you have a fallen tree on your property, check with your insurance company to see if it covers the price to remove it.
You should remove a tree that's closer than 10 to 15 feet to your home because it can pose major problems. The roots can damage your foundation and pipes. If it falls, the chance of damage to your home is significant.
Removing a tree that close to your home requires extra care and planning. You have to make sure that no parts of your home or roof are in jeopardy. Most professionals recommend extracting the roots as well as the trunk and limbs.
