Installation requires lifting a couple shingles, cutting an approx. 15" diameter round hole in the roof from the outside, tucking the galvanized flashing of the fan housing under the upper shingles, then nailing it down and flashing with roofing cement or urethane sealant. No electrical hook-up is required, only mounting the fan on the outside of the roof near the center of the peak.
