Everything went well. They showed up on time, grated the bumpy ground, removed weeds and then laid sods. About 3-4 inches of mulch was added to the north side of the house and around the stones too.

This is the second time we called Paul and knowing it was a "small fry" job I apologized but it was related to my neighbors not doing nothing to prevent their feral cat colony from using the exposed dirt as a litter box where grass seed should be growing and place rock to fill in the gap under the privacy fence the used to egress onto our property. Paul gave a great price and on a Saturday one of the amazing workers came out laid the sod around the patio he previously placed with expert percision then placed beatutiful rocks along the fence line not just what would be throw away stones but really nice looking rocks! I am impressed a second time to the effort put into a less then an 1k job!!

I was very impressed with the person who came to do the estimate. He not only gave me a very fair estimate for the proposed work, but gave free advice about caring for different areas of the yard as we walked around. He even shared valuable experience and advice about dealing with wasp nests, as we spotted on in the back. I was looking forward to working with them, but when I called to schedule the work (after getting several other estimates) I never heard back from them at all. Granted, it was at least 2 months between the estimate and my calling them to schedule, but I was still surprised that they didn't even call back - even if they were completely booked and couldn't do the work, they could have called to let me know. Nevertheless, I plan to contact them again in the spring to give them another chance, because they made such a good first impression. (Were it not for the non-responsiveness, the grade would have been an easy A.

Great job and meticulous care of the lawn. Last year had contracted for a few lawn odd jobs such as sod replacement in some areas, fixing the landscape borders, etc. Did a nice job on these. Only downside is that Nick is very behind on invoicing although he did tell us this up front. Little on the pricey side but first lawn company to actually do what I ask! This company is a definite A

Justin was easy to talk to, patiently answered our questions, seemed knowledgeable, and was honest about what he couldn’t guarantee. He volunteered the information that because a lot of dirt had to be added, some of our shrubs and small trees might not survive the change, and he had a method for protecting them as well as possible. When he and his crew of three got into the project he decided they needed to grade out further than originally planned in order to get a good result, but he didn’t charge us more; in fact, when the project finally came in at slightly less cost than the original estimate, he charged us less. His price had been reasonable to begin with, judging from other information and estimates we had. The final result looks nice. We trust him and would definitely consider hiring him again

Don was very knowledgeable pleasant when he came out to give us an estimate. He toured the grounds and exchanged ideas with me on how to achieve the best results on our budget. He created a plan and gave assurances that the work would be done quickly and efficiently, and he delivered. His team was there bright and early on the day work was to start. Don showed up around the same time and we went around the house again with the team so they knew what to do. The team worked the entire day with no incident. They did a few unexpected extra things like ringing a pine tree in back with extra mulch, and cleaning out window wells. They also hauled a bunch of accumulated branches and yard waste at no extra cost. They removed all of the lava rocks and liner that surrounded the house, and replaced with mulch. They installed rubber guards in appropriate areas. They removed weeds, bushes, and saplings from our long-neglected terraced garden (previous owners let it go) and even removed a chain-link fence that had once been a dog run. They salvaged the "good" plants and layed mulch. They tore up an old garden bed that ran then length of the driveway and layed sod down. At the end of the day I did notice that they had left two 12" posts in concrete that we remains of the chain link fence in the garden. I requested that the crew remove those as well as per the agreement. It was after 5 at this point and they agreed, albeit a bit grudgingly (I can understand wanting to go home too but this project was not cheap and should be done right!) The next day I noticed there were some other cut-corner issues such as an area that was not sodded; and no rubber liner around the bush area in front of the house. I called Don about these issues and they were fixed within a few days. Overall I was very pleased with the work and quality, and our neighbors thanked us for cleaning up that old eyesore! We would definitely use King Scapes again, though I am hoping it will be a while

The Dirt Works crew was the absolute best. They took on a difficult situation and aced it! My yard was having a terrible drainage issue. Eaan, Thomas, and Jackson came to the rescue!! The work was performed with perfection and has shown to be extremely effective. These are trustworthy, hard-working, wonderful young men. They were polite, punctual, tidy, and skilled. I would recommend them to anyone for any project. My next-door neighbors were also impressed and hired them to do some things in their yard as well

About a month ago, I "ordered" weed pulling in my front borders, where I have a thistle problem due to contaminated mulch Lawnsmith provided previously. I was told two weeks ago that I was "top of the list" but nothing has happened. My weeds are now taking over and looking like small trees. I am now shopping for a more reliable company, but am stuck with my pre-paid lawn mowing till end of summer. Rate below is hourly for weed removal (in the past they have often used a power grass trimmer in lieu of actually pulling weeds.

The tree was surrounded by my garage, my neighbor's garage, a fence and other large landscaping plants. Bottom line, it was difficult to get to the tree without bringing large equipment into my yard which I could not permit since I had major landscaping done and new sod put in last September. They brought a large truck with a cherry picker type bucket on it and reached over my garage to take the top half that hung over my property down. They then asked permission (which was given) to drive the truck into my neighbor's driveway and take down the half that hung over her garage. They then cut the trunk, removed the debris and the job was done. It took 2 days with a 4 man crew each day. They were professional and knew what they were doing. Nothing was damaged and they cleaned up the work site as best they could considering there was still 2 feet of snow on the ground

They were able to start the job the following week where other companies were unable. The quote was verbal which made me nervous. The contractor changed pricing multiple times on me which was upsetting. They came and went without keeping me informed as to what was going on. However, all in all, the grass is beautiful and soft.
